Kiernan Shipka has “graduated” to wearing couture to red carpet events.
The actress found fame playing Sally Draper on AMC series Mad Men and has more recently appeared as B.D. Merrill in Feud alongside Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange.
As she makes the transition from child actress to rising Hollywood name, Kiernan has started wearing more fashion-forward ensembles to events, with her stylists Jill Lincoln and Jordan Johnson explaining that she is now open to experimenting with her looks.
“She grew up on Mad Men, and her style has grown with her,” the fashionistas told Footwear News, adding that they have worked with the starlet since she was 11 years old. “She graduated far beyond the smocking dresses she started out in – to couture, in fact.”
Kiernan seeks out age-appropriate yet colourful outfits and stepped out at the 2017 Emmy Awards in September (17) wearing a pale pink gown from Miu Miu which featured crystal beading on the straps.
While at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards she played with proportion by sporting a pair of blue and white cropped trousers with a pink top with mint green tulle detail from Delpozo, which was accessorised with shiny silver platform high heels from Miu Miu.
And though Kiernan has been spotted in lots of designer pieces of late, her stylists are adamant that the 18-year-old mixes in high-street pieces whenever she can, and counts Madewell as a go-to brand.
“Kiernan loves and understands the process and history of clothes far beyond that of most girls,” they shared.
Fans will no doubt be looking forward to seeing what the blonde star wears for her next role, as Kiernan has recently been cast as teenage witch Sabrina Spellman in a new Netflix reboot.
