Singer Meghan Trainor has teamed up with bosses at fitness company Zumba for a new music video that promotes empowerment.
The star released her latest single No Excuses last week (ends02Mar18) and on Monday (05Mar18) the accompanying video for the track premiered, featuring choreography inspired by Zumba exercises.
“Today…No Excuses gets official dance moves!!,” Trainor posted on Twitter. “I learned a Zumba routine and tried my first Zumba class! it was AWESOME! So we released an official choreo video and now you can sing and dance along to my new song!! Thank you Zumba!!”
In the video, the 24-year-old and a team of dancers perform an easy-to-follow routine created to encourage fans to find the power of movement.
The All About That Bass hitmaker was eager to join forces with the brand and what it represents.
“We both believe in empowerment!” she told PR Newswire. “I want this choreography to empower everyone out there to get on their feet, and I want them to think about respect and sassiness and loving yourself.”
Romance has played a major role in Trainor’s physical transformation, – she credits workouts with her fiance Daryl Sabara for her new toned figure.
“I work out so hard,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I’ve been working on my health (with) my boyfriend and, yeah, we eat good and we work out, like, every day.”
Although clearly enjoying her new physique, she previously shared that the actor was a big fan of her natural curves.
“No one expressed how they liked my body out loud in the bedroom until I met Daryl,” she told Cosmopolitan. “He is obsessed with it – every inch. And that has improved my confidence more than even (All About That) Bass did.”
