Actress Lea Michele calls on pal and former Glee castmate Becca Tobin for support when she needs strength to power through intense workouts.
The former TV co-stars exercise together all the time and their friendship really gets Lea going in the gym.
“We both really love hot yoga,” she tells Us Weekly magazine. “We do hot yoga a lot together. She’s a Barry’s Bootcamp (intense cardio) person, which I can’t do for the life of me and she tries to get me to come do it.”
Although Lea can’t bear the high intensity cardio training at the Los Angeles gym chain, the 31-year-old reveals she and Becca often partner up to sweat it out on the stationary bike in cycling classes.
The two ladies love to cycle with each other so much, they decided to put one of their fitness sessions to good use by raising money for charity and hosting a spin class to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles last Sunday (25Mar18).
“I just think that this is so great. We are not only best friends, but we work out together all the time. So getting an opportunity to come and do something that we do all the time already together, but do it for a really incredible, great cause, feels so organic and for fun for us at the same time,” she smiled.
Although Lea is fuelled by Becca’s workout enthusiasm, she is a lone soldier when it comes to dieting, revealing she has enough willpower to stay on track when it comes to the foods she eats.
“Balancing out working out with eating well (is essential). For me, that’s key,” she stresses. “I think that a large majority of wellness comes from what we put in our bodies, but you always have to work out. You have to do both.”
