Kaia Gerber has no plans to drop out of school for the sake of her modelling career.

The 16-year-old has quickly become one of the most sought-after models in the industry and already landed gigs with prestigious brands such as Chanel, Prada and Fendi.

While she is young and her fashion career is only just beginning, the teenager is adamant that she fully intends to complete her education.

“I don’t think most 16-year-olds know what they want to do with their life,” she insisted in an interview with The Vancouver Sun. “I definitely want to finish school, and then I guess we’ll see what happens.”

Kaia is about to begin her senior year of high school, which she’ll follow online due to her hectic work and travel schedule, and though she is committed to her studies, she believes she has landed “her dream job.”

The model recently achieved another fashion milestone after landing her first Vogue Italia cover spot. In the accompanying interview, Kaia shared the reality of growing up as the daughter of fashion legend Cindy Crawford.

“You will not believe it, but as a child, I did not know she was famous,” the brunette beauty explained. “I did not even know she was a model. For me, it was only my mother, and today it’s still a bit like that. Of course, she has her life, but she is one of those people who can never take work home. Home is home and work is work.”

The fashion star also spoke about her relationship with her mother’s famous friends such as Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista.

“They encouraged and supported me before I knew who they were for others. The fact is that, like my mother, they too were different in the private, down-to-earth (way). A quality that I admire very much,” Kaia smiled.
