Irina Shayk, Natalia Vodianova and Natasha Poly have been tapped to star on the cover of Vogue Russia to mark the publication’s 20th anniversary.
The fashion publication, helmed by editor-in-chief Masha Fedorova, was launched in 1998 and is credited with helping Russian women keep informed on style and trends.
To celebrate 20 years in circulation, Russian supermodels Irina, Natalia and Natasha have been shot by photographer Giampaolo Sgura, with the cover image depicting them walking barefoot in a grand hallway while sporting floral Saint Laurent minidresses from designer Anthony Vaccarello’s latest collection.
“CELEBRATION! SEPTEMBER ISSUE…..@voguerussia 20th ANNIVERSARY with the most beautiful Russian Girls,” Giampaolo captioned a snap of the cover on his Instagram page. “What can you do when u have to shoot the most beautiful girls in the world together (sic) ????? Ask them to be themselves…..thx (thanks) GIRLS it was a Blast!”
In addition, each of the models were photographed separately for individual cover images, with Franco Gobbi in charge of the hairstyles and make-up artist Helene Vasnier heading up the glam squad.
For her image, Irina is seen posing in a figure-hugging black Versace dress which gives a glimpse of her Intimissimi undergarment.
“So happy wearing my favourite @versace @intimissimiofficial on my second September anniversary cover Thank u @giampaolosgura @mashavoguerussia.. and @tracycohensayag for my magical facial before the shoot,” the 32-year-old wrote alongside an image of her cover.
Natalia, 36, is pictured standing in a black strapless Michael Kors dress and clutching balloons in her solo cover, while 33-year-old Natasha donned a Prada dress with large bow detail on the shoulder.
“Happy 20th Birthday @voguerussia I Am So Proud To Be A Part Of This Celebration Issue. What You Guys Think About My Second Cover? Big Thank You To The Team,” the fashion star added.
