Danielle Brooks has gone for the chop, swapping her long ringlets for short curls.

Showing off her new look on Instagram, the 29-year-old actress admitted to her 2.4 million followers it was her first big cut, and her longtime hair stylist Tish Celestine said Danielle was definitely scared sitting in her chair.

“(She was) absolutely nervous,” Tish told Refinery 29, adding that she was excited too.

“I believe that every woman should big chop at least once in life. Hair is attached to energy, and when you cut off old hair you make room for new energy. It makes you fearless.”

The dramatic style comes not long after Netflix announced it was ending prison drama Orange Is the New Black, which Danielle has starred in since its 2013 debut.

And it seems the actress is washing character Tash “Taystee” Jefferson out of her hair with her new do.

“She’s been wanting to big chop for some time now, but we’ve had some limitations due to work so we couldn’t do it,” Tish commented. “Last week she just contacted me like, ‘Hey I’m’ ready,’ and I was there in an hour to do it.

“She has some breakage in the middle of her head, but she also wanted to see how she’d look with a short style.”

Tish promises that Danielle can still have fun with her hair even though it’s so short, and she’s hoping other women will see that a cropped style is as beautiful as longer strands.

“Every time she steps out with this cut, we plan on showcasing something different,” she smiled. “We want to show people that just because you have short hair doesn’t mean you have limited options.”

The Little Mix girls have dished on the design process behind their fourth line with sportswear brand USA Pro.

Showing off their gym-honed bodies for the promo shots, the English group, made up of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, have added sleeker silhouettes to their latest collection.

Each singer has once again created signature pieces which reflects her individual style, with Jade explaining: “When I’m designing my range I aim to create both something comfortable to perform in and flattering – it’s important to feel good when working out.”

Jade’s pieces include gym leggings with sheer panels and a lace up sports bra.

Like Jade, Jesy also ditched support in favour of sexy with her plunging sports bra, as well as a pair of high-waisted bottoms

“(I want to) enhance every woman’s figure,” she said. “I’ve got high-waisted leggings that accentuate the body shape. I’m curvy and I wanted to create something that complemented that.”

For Leigh-Anne’s edit, she opted for a tropical print motif because she “loves anything tropical”, while Perrie decided on thick, branded waistbands across all her designs.

“I love the simplistic but bold colours used across my range, with the waistbands that match the crop top and sports bra,” Perrie shared.

The band first teamed with USA Pro in 2015, posing in the brand’s adverts before launching their own two years later.

Actress Liv Tyler is showing off her stunning curves in a sexy 1920s-inspired photo shoot for lingerie brand Triumph.

The Lord of the Rings beauty has collaborated with the intimates label on a new capsule collection and now she is showing off the figure-hugging pieces in a series of new images.

“In one photo, the star can be seen posing in red lace items with matching lipstick and heels as she reclines on a blue couch. The cabaret style photos also show the 41 year old in a print corset and stockings in front of a curtain, as well as a snap of her in a matching purple bra and panties with her dark locks styled similarly to an old school film vixen.

Tyler previously appeared in the U.K.-based brand’s autumn/winter campaign last year (17) and expressed her excitement in a statement at the time.

“I am so honoured to be working with Triumph, a brand I have known and admired for so many years,” she said. “It has such history. The Triumph Essence collection is really special and has both a playful, feminine and chic style, which I love.

The partnership came about as Liv tried to get back into shape after giving birth to her third child, Lula, in 2016. In an interview with People magazine, her trainer Russell Bateman revealed she was dedicated to inspiring others with her devotion to a healthy lifestyle.

“She has so many things to try and juggle but she really is an example for modern day women and female empowerment,” he told the publication at the time. “Liv, like a lot of the girls I train, is just trying to become her most optimal self. Good sleep, rest and de-stressing all contribute to optimal shape and mood.”

“She’s very balletic, and this is coupled with a strong work ethic, which makes her a pleasure to train,” he added. “Anything that I say is going to be tough she treats as a challenge, and kills it.”

Kylie & Kendall Jenner are expanding their fashion empire with the release of a new spectacle line.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians stars took to Instagram on Monday (29Oct18) to share a photo, in which they pose seductively while sporting glasses from the new collection.

In the image Kylie, 21, wears large round glasses with a casual white sweater, while Kendall, 22, rests on her shoulder in a thicker rimmed version of the accessory.

“So excited to announce that #kendallandkylie optical is now available at local opticians nationwide,” the sisters wrote alongside the post.

The news comes just days after Kylie took to the photo sharing site to tease looks from the pair’s upcoming handbag collaboration with British high street chain Boots. In the image, the reality sensation can be seen holding a black purse from the line.

While a release date for the glasses line has yet to be announced, the two have been busy promoting their Kendall + Kylie fall 2018 collection, which was unveiled in September (18).

Last week (ends26Oct18), the TV personalities revealed they are joining forces with discount retailer Walmart for a collection of affordable handbags and accessories. The 42-piece set will be released on 9 November (18).

The Jenners have been carving out a fashion empire since 2013, when they began working with the label PacSun. In addition to their show brand, they have also appeared in campaigns for Puma and Adidas.

Beyonce has paid tribute to Toni Braxton by dressing up as the R&B veteran for Halloween.

The Halo icon shared a series of images of herself mimicking Toni’s cover art from her self-titled 1993 album and lead single Another Sad Love Song, in which the Un-break My Heart hitmaker posed in a white tank top, jeans with a gold chain belt, and a black leather jacket.

Beyonce’s take on the outfit was spot on, and she even donned a dark wig styled in a pixie cut, complete with similar gold jewellery, and red lipstick – just like Toni.

Dubbing herself “Phoni Braxton”, the superstar posted side-by-side snaps so fans could see for themselves how perfect her costume was.

“Sending love and adoration to one of our talented legends,” Beyonce wrote in a rare caption.

“Thank you for the countless bops. Your tone, your beauty, your range, and your God-given talent is treasured. Loving you always.”

She then added a holiday wish for her fans, concluding, “Have a Happy Halloween my Kings and Queens.”

The costume salute came as a complete surprise to Toni, who took to Twitter to express her delight at the honour.

“Phoni Braxton!? NEVER!!!” the excited star wrote. “How do you look better than me on MY album cover? I LOVE IT, Such a superstar! Thanks for the love sis! Happy Halloween”.

Reciting lyrics from Beyonce’s Run the World (Girls) hit, Toni tweeted, “Who run the world…GIRLS! GIRLS! @Beyonce”.

Beyonce has become known for channelling her music icons for Halloween.

Last year (17), she pulled off five of her favourite Lil’ Kim looks, while she has also dressed up as Janet Jackson, and recruited her daughter Blue Ivy and mother Tina Knowles-Lawson for a family Salt-N-Pepa outfit in the past.

Anna Sui has slammed celebrities who return sample clothes in poor condition.

The American designer has been in the business since the early ’90s and had famous supermodels including Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista walk during her first ever show in 1991. Today she is beloved by fashion royalty such as Gigi and Bella Hadid, while other famous clients include Shay Mitchell, Vanessa Hudgens and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.

However, while a number of A-listers are queuing up to be dressed by her, Sui finds it annoying when her designs come back in an unacceptable condition – something that happens all too often.

“Oh yes, especially when it is your original sample,” she complained to Page Six at the Fashion Group International Night of Stars. “It just happened recently, and I did not handle it well. It is not settled yet. It is not legal or anything, but it has not been settled yet.”

Sui was honoured with the Fashion Star award at the ceremony last Thursday (25Oct18) and received the accolade from fellow designer and close friend Marc Jacobs. And though the 54-year-old has pioneered trends like boho, athleisure and ’70s folk, she believes that sometimes it’s the most simple outfits that prove to be the most effective.

“I love people with great style. It does not have to be my style — it can just be jeans and a white shirt,” she smiled. “I wish I could look good in a white shirt!”

Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing and Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, creative directors at Kenzo and founders of Opening Ceremony, also received Fashion Star awards on the night, while Vera Wang took home the prestigious Superstar award.

Marc Jacobs’ fiance Charly Defrancesco is hoping to tie the knot in Chipotle.

The couple got in engaged in a branch of the Mexican fast food chain in April (18), after Jacobs organised a flash mob-inspired dance amongst a group inside the venue. Following the routine, which was performed to the hit song Kiss by Prince, the designer got down on one knee to ask his partner to marry him and later uploaded the footage of the romantic moment to his Instagram account. And now the couple have started to think about what they want from their big day, Defrancesco has revealed he would be more than happy to return to the site of the proposal.

“I know Marc really, really wants it at the Rainbow Room or the Boom Boom Room but I’d be happy getting married at Chipotle,” the candlemaker told People at The Fashion Group International Night of Stars Gala on Thursday (25Oct). However, he is confident that the pair will not get carried away when it comes to wedding planning.

“We don’t want it to become bridezilla or anything like that but we do want to make it festive and a night we can all be with the people we love,” he smiled.

Following the happy news, many questioned why the fashion mogul selected such an unusual venue to pop the question, but Jacobs insisted that though he was hoping to ask the killer question at a more glamorous location, there was a simple explanation behind the choice.

“It’s (Charly’s) favourite restaurant. We have an annual (tradition),” he previously told WWD. “I wanted to take him out for a romantic dinner on his birthday and he was like, ‘No, I want to go to Chipotle.’ So I knew I had to (propose) somewhere where he wouldn’t suspect that I was going to do that.”

Jason Wu is concerned the U.S. fashion industry is in a “weird place”.

The New York-based designer is known for merging American sportswear elements with timeless classics, with his fans including Diane Kruger, Emma Stone, Julianne Moore as well as Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

Wu recently announced that he will be taking a two-season hiatus from runway shows to work on expanding and streamlining his business, and he has now admitted that the overhaul is necessary in order to keep up with the changing landscape of fashion.

“American fashion is in kind of a weird place,” he said during a chat held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, according to WWD. “It’s very challenging and New York Fashion Week is going through its own period of self-evaluation and everyone is looking at the business differently.”

Wu went on to explain that the clothes business is entirely different since he launched his own brand in 2003.

However, he was thrilled to participate in a programme in which he mentored 15 students at the Otis College of Art and Design, and he ended up learning a lot from the aspiring designers too.

“I’m happy to be able to do something for the generation after me so aspiring fashion designers can be armed with as much information as possible before they leave school,” the 36-year-old insisted. “Also, it’s really interesting to tap into how that generation thinks and it also keeps me very current. It’s really important to know what’s going on and be a part of culture.”

During the chat, Wu touched on some of the outfits he has created for this A-list clients and made a special mention of his relationships with new royal Meghan and former U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama.

Meghan stepped out in a dark green crepe dress from the designer during an appearance in Fiji earlier this month (Oct18) as part of her and Prince Harry’s first royal tour together, and Wu could not be happier to see the former Suits actress in his garments.

“Meghan is very inspiring and wears the clothes beautifully and has great poise,” he smiled.

Taylor Hill grooms her signature eyebrows with black mascara.

The model is one of the most sought-after names in the fashion business, having walked the runway for the likes of Victoria’s Secret, Versace, Fendi and Chanel.

Taylor has now shared some of top beauty tips in a video for Vogue.com, including the way in which she styles her bold brows.

“I have really dark eyebrows and I never fill them, I just take some of the mascara away (off the spoolie brush) and I’m just gonna use that instead to just make them go up,” she said, going on to demonstrate how she uses the mascara brush to shape her arches. “My eyebrows are out of control half the time, I never pluck them or anything. When I was 12, 13 I used to have a unibrow so I would beg my mom to wax my eyebrows but she would never do it because she was like, ‘You have eyebrows like Brooke Shields.’ She did pluck them for me in the middle just so I wouldn’t have a unibrow.”

Taylor went on to share that she doesn’t pluck underneath her eyebrows as she wants them to “be wild”.

She spoke about her daily skincare regime too, insisting that she uses lots of hydrating products, including a serum, moisturiser and eye cream underneath her cosmetics.

“My skin gets really dry from travel so when I do my make-up I always extra prep – I use three skincare products before I even put make-up on. If you wear make-up over dry skin, it doesn’t last as long,” the 22-year-old commented.

Taylor applies powder all over her face but mostly over the T-zone, and as a Lancome brand ambassador, she uses one of the company’s contouring palettes along with two colours of concealer – one peachier and one with a yellow base – to cover any undereye circles.

And while she uses make-up to even out her complexion, the brunette beauty swears cutting out one food group prior to big events makes a real difference to her skin.

“Before the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, I do all kinds of preparations. I usually start about a month in advance and I cut all dairy from my diet, no cheese, no milk – which is really hard because it means no pizza, no macaroni and cheese, none of the things that I really love,” she sighed. “But it’s worth it because I really start to notice a difference in my skin after maybe just two weeks of it.”
