Versace has recruited 2 Chainz for a new sneaker design.

The rapper and the Italian brand first teamed in 2018 on the label’s Chain Reaction line, and have once again joined forces on a new shoe, as well as an upcoming athleisure capsule collection

The We Own It rapper’s new sneaker features a chain-link sole, Versace’s Grecian frieze print, and braille lettering, reports WWD. The grey and white shoes also introduce an embossed croc Neoprene collar with dual zip closure, with the zippers connected by a nylon strap for ease and functionality.

Uploading a photo of the shoe on Instagram, held inside a gold photo frame, a brand representative wrote: “@2chainz joins the #VersaceChainReaction family pack launching February 1st! Stay tuned for more information. #2ChainReaction.”

The sneaker will debut during Super Bowl weekend in 2 Chainz’s native Atlanta, where this year’s sporting finale will be held, at a pop-up boutique in the Georgia city’s Wish Gallery. The shop will be open from 1 – 3 February (19).

Later that week they’ll be stocked at Versace’s Phipps Plaza boutique in Atlanta, but for fans not based in the area, they can also buy a pair on versace.com.

2 Chainz, real name Tauheed Epps, has long been a fan of the brand, and even married longtime love Kesha Ward at late designer Gianni Versace’s Miami mansion in August, cheered on by celeb pals Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Gucci Mane and Pusha T.

The nuptials came after the 41-year-old proposed at the Met Gala three months earlier after being invited by Donatella Versace.
