Lea Michele can’t wait to wear her custom wedding reception gown again.
The former Glee star and new husband Zandy Reich tied the knot on Saturday (09Mar19) in an intimate Northern California ceremony, during which the bride wore a stunning Monique Lhuillier ballgown.
But it was her post-ceremony look – another Lhuillier creation – that was the talking point of the nuptials, and a dress Lea didn’t want to take off.
“For the dancing dress after the reception, Monique Lhuillier made this amazing dress for me,” she tells People. “From her new collection, she has this very sexy, black mini dress with long sleeves, and she (made) it special for me, in white.”
“I could definitely see myself putting that dress on from time to time, if I can fit into it after the wedding,” she tells the publication. “I just love it so much, and I will find an excuse to wear that dress again and again.”
The big event gave the 32 year old the chance to collaborate with the designer, who she greatly admires.
“I get chills when I think about Monique, and how much I love her,” she shares. “Monique is so beautiful, and so talented and she let me try on every single dress.”
For Michele, the fitting process was her favourite part of the pre-wedding process.
“In the entire wedding process, that was one of my most favourite moments, being at that fitting with (stylist) Brad (Goreski), and with my mom, and letting my mom see me wearing my wedding dress for the first time was so magical.”
Michele celebrated her nuptials alongside former Glee co-stars Becky Tobin and Darren Criss, who performed during her special day, the show’s creator Ryan Murphy and her best pal Jonathan Groff.
