Celine Dion has revisited one of cinema’s most iconic gems by stepping out with a costume version of Heart of the Ocean necklace from Titanic.
The Canadian superstar, who sang My Heart Will Go On – the Oscar-winning theme song from the 1997 film – was spotting wearing the accessory during an outing in Paris, France on Wednesday.
The costume version of the item, which was worn by Kate Winslet in the movie classic, was recently featured in Vetements’ spring 2020 catwalk runway show at Paris Fashion Week.
Dion wore a more expensive version of the necklace, designed by Asprey & Garrard, at the 1998 Academy Awards ceremony. The 171-carat item later sold at a charity auction for $1.4 million (£1 million).
The star recently referred to the performance during the event as one of the biggest moments in her career.
“I think performing My Heart Will Go On at the Academy Awards was a defining moment for me,” she said in an interview which accompanied the announcement that she is the new global brand ambassador for L’Oreal Paris. “I was already in love with music and passionate about my career, but everything really skyrocketed after that song debuted.”
Dion has been photographed wearing a slew of stunning outfits while attending various fashion shows during the annual event. On Wednesday, the Grammy winner attended the Valentino fall/winter 2019/2010 couture runway show in a cream-coloured long-sleeved feathered frock.
