Kim Kardashian found preparing for the 2019 Met Gala much more “nerve-wracking” than her wedding to Kanye West.

The TV personality turned heads at the camp-themed fashion event in May, when she turned up in a custom-made skin-tight beaded dress which was covered in droplet-shaped crystals that designer Thierry Mugler had come out of retirement to create for her.

But in spite of attending the prestigious gala several times before, in a new teaser clip for her family’s reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim explained she was feeling more anxious about the event than she did before her wedding to rapper Kanye in Florence, Italy in May 2014.

“It’s the morning of the Met, and I just keep on saying, ‘I don’t know why I have such anxiety for the Met, I feel this sense of pressure, responsibility,'” she commented to her make-up artists and glam squad. “This is like probably as nerve-wracking as my wedding like I don’t know why I get so nervous for the Met. Maybe even more so, just because there’s pictures from every single angle.”

Kim went on to note that she also felt a lot of pressure to achieve Thierry’s vision, especially as working with the Frenchman was a “dream come true”.

“It’s a huge responsibility for me because he, I’m sure after not designing for 20 years, wants it to be something magical and special and new… I just want it to be perfect,” the 38-year-old mused.

In the clip, Kim was also shown participating in a group prayer circle with her team as they cinched her into the tight corset of her dress, which the mother-of-four previously revealed required her to undertake special breathing lessons to wear.

To conclude the teaser, the star reflected on the different Met Galas she has attended over the years, including her first time when she was “just Kanye’s plus one” in 2013, before receiving her own invitation the following year after appearing on the April 2014 cover of U.S. Vogue with her beau.

“I’m gonna say, ‘Year seven: cover girl. We officially made it,'” she smiled, referring to her April 2019 cover of the fashion publication.
