Mandy Moore has noticed a “world of difference” in her health since overhauling her diet.
The singer/actress is one of the busiest women in Hollywood at the moment, as she is juggling her commitments to hit TV show This Is Us with her upcoming comeback music tour – her first in a decade.
But in a new interview with People, Mandy explained that she has had more energy to tackle her various projects ever since she ditched certain foods.
“I try to make a good point of knowing what I’m putting in my body because I understand the connection with how I feel,” she said. “I went to a functional medicine doctor and figured out things that are definitely not making me feel great. Random things like cow’s milk, gluten, salmon, soy and apricots. I took them out of my diet and it’s made a world of difference. I have more energy; I don’t have that fog and my digestive issues have pretty much resolved themselves.”
Mandy went on to explain that she now feels better in her mid-thirties than she ever did in her twenties.
And in addition to supplementing her diet with vitamins from wellness company Nature’s Way, the star takes time to meditate when she has free time.
“It’s about how you speak to yourself and how you speak about others,” the 35-year-old insisted. “I’m making sure I’m focused on self-care as well.”
Earlier this week, Mandy announced her plans to tour the U.S. in 2020. Dates begin at the Benedum Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 20 March.
“I am thrilled to put together an intimate, elevated evening of new and old tunes, performed with a superb group of musicians,” she said in a statement. “I want the show to have threads of what the writing and recording process was like with this band, almost like you’ve been invited in our living room for an inside glimpse.”
