Robert Pattinson considers his outfit for the London premiere of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2005 to be one of his worst fashion choices.

The Twilight star shot to fame playing Cedric Diggory, his first major movie role, in the fourth instalment of the Harry Potter movie franchise, and attended the premiere in Leicester Square wearing black leather trousers, a white shirt, a red velvet blazer, and dark red shoes.

In an interview with British GQ, Pattinson revealed he cringes at a lot of his old red carpet looks, but his ensemble for the premiere really stands out.

“I was wearing leather trousers with these cowboy boots and a velvet jacket,” he recalled. “I mean, it literally looked like a kid had gone into a dressing-up box.”

Pattinson’s sense of style has improved over the years and he credits fashion experts for making him look red carpet ready.

“If I was choosing to wear clothes myself, I don’t think I would have gone in a lot (of) the directions that I have ended up going in with Dior and people like Kim Jones,” the 33-year-old added, referring to the creative director of Dior Homme. “I never would have thought I would be wearing chiffon, silk, and satin. I wore this tuxedo, which had basketball shorts last year – never would have imagined that!”

Even though he has become more experimental with his style, the British actor, who is the face of the luxury brand’s current fragrance campaign, is well aware there are certain pieces he can’t pull off.

“I wish I could dress like A$AP Rocky,” he gushed. “He just has serious style. We have been to quite a few different fittings together and I will see the craziest thing and really want to wear it, but I’d look like a total moron. Then we will go to the show and I will see Rocky in it and be like, ‘Jesus Christ, you can literally wear anything!'”
