Elle Fanning has used her time in self-isolation to try out a dramatic new hair colour.
Earlier this week, the Maleficent actress posted a mirror selfie to her Instagram Stories, with the snap showing that she has ditched her signature blonde locks and now opted to try out a soft shade of pink.
Elle didn’t indicate whether the pink colour is a permanent change or simply a temporary product.
However, the 21-year-old is evidently a big fan of pink, as the picture also depicts her holding up a light pink mobile phone case that has been decorated with a sticker of pink-haired cartoon character Strawberry Shortcake.
And while hairdressers have urged people not to dye or cut their own hair while practicing social distancing and staying at home amid the coronavirus crisis, not everyone has heeded their advice.
In an Instagram Stories post on Tuesday, What About Us singer Pink revealed that she is sporting an uneven buzz cut after deciding to give her hair a trim during a drunken night in self-isolation.
“When I drink, I get really, really brilliant ideas, and last night, I got an idea – ‘I can cut hair! I can totally cut hair! Why have I been paying people all this time?'” she told her followers, before she pulled up the side of her beanie hat to reveal two patches of hair that were shaved a little closer to her head than the rest. “I think I’m looking pretty good! Am I giving like, Alyssa Milano vibes right now? Charlize Theron? I don’t know. I might try to fix it tonight. What do you think?”
Pink jokingly captioned the post, “Haircuts and drinking… Quarantine diaries.”
And she’s not the only one to reach for the clippers during self-isolation, as Captain America star Chris Evans was also recruited by his younger brother to shave his head.
Scott Evans took to Instagram to reveal his new buzzcut, and in a video later shared on Twitter, the actor can be seen tentatively shaving his sibling’s head.
