Ryan Reynolds will get his hair cut by his wife Blake Lively during the coronavirus lockdown.
The Deadpool actor, who is spending the self-isolation period at home with the Gossip Girl actress, their three daughters, and Blake’s mother, revealed during a video interview for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday night that he was lucky enough to get a haircut before production on his movie Red Notice shut down two weeks ago, but he was already in need of another trim, so was enlisting his wife for the job on Thursday.
“I was working on a film up until two weeks ago, just a little over two weeks ago… thankfully I got a haircut on the day we shut down. I was thinking ahead,” he explained. “Tomorrow, Blake is going to give me a haircut.”
In his usual jokey manner, the Canadian star hinted that he didn’t have high expectations because of her previous trimming attempt.
“She’s done this once before. It took two and a half hours. And then at the end, it looked like she had done the whole thing using only a lighter or like those gloves that are made of sandpaper,” the 43-year-old deadpanned. “It would have been a little faster and more efficient if she’d just wore it down, if she’d just rubbed my head until the hair just disappeared, so tomorrow I’m getting a haircut, I’m very excited.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Ryan revealed he was passing the time by helping his and Blake’s daughters – James, five, Inez, three, and their eight-month-old third child, which has not been named publicly, make dresses out of tissue paper.
“I try not to push sort of gender normative ideas on my kids as they’re born, but each one as soon as they came out of the chute, they wanted to make dresses, they wanted to dress in hot pink all day,” he shared. “That’s what I do. This morning we made dresses out of tissue paper, which was fun for them.”
