Jodie Comer was totally “obsessed” with cosmetics when she was a teenager.
In an interview with Allure, the Killing Eve actress revealed that it was a big deal to get dressed up with her friends when she was growing up in Liverpool, England, so she used to cover her face in products – but she’s now come to realise she’s more comfortable without make-up.
“I went through this period where I was just obsessed with make-up and I wore a tonne of it, and then I suddenly realised how much I was wearing, and the fact that I was spending all this money,” she admitted. “I think now I’m just trying to be more comfortable with what I have rather than having to cover up… But I do love putting make-up on for a night out.”
While the 27-year-old has toned down her make-up use over the years, there is one product she cannot give up – eyebrow gel.
“My number one is eyebrow gel. I can’t live without it,” the star shared, adding that she often applies it herself on set. “I could have no make-up on, but if I fix my brows… or when I’m on set, the one thing I want to do myself is my eyebrows.”
Comer also revealed that if she finds herself without eyebrow gel, she simply spritzes on some hairspray to a mascara spoolie brush and uses it to comb her arches.
The British actress gave the interview to promote her partnership with luxury skincare company Noble Panacea. She has been appointed its global brand ambassador and will appear in all of the upcoming advertising campaigns.
“I have to believe in it,” Comer said of the collaboration. “And have to want to wear it myself and be proud of it. And I tried the products and just loved them.”
