Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner have collaborated on a fragrance.
The reality TV star launched her KKW Beauty brand back in 2017 and branched out into fragrance months later, and has since collaborated with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe and half-sister Kylie Jenner on perfume products.
On Monday, Kim announced she had joined forces with her mother Kris to make the KKW x KRIS fragrance, which will be released in time for America’s Mother’s Day on 10 May.
“My mom @krisjenner and I are so excited to announce the launch of KKW x KRIS, our first-ever @kkwfragrance collaboration,” Kim wrote on Instagram. “A woody, white floral fragrance with the freshness of freesia, creamy white gardenia, and tuberose at the heart – I know you will love wearing it as much as I do.”
In a statement, the Kardashian-Jenner clan matriarch said, “Creating a fragrance together with Kim just in time for Mother’s Day was magical! We’ve talked about doing this for years, so to see our shared vision come to life has been amazing. Kim and I have similar tastes which makes working together a dream; we both wanted a classic, ageless scent that is beautiful and empowering for anyone who wears it and I think this fragrance perfectly embodies that.”
The fragrance comes in a pale pink ceramic-look hexagonal bottle featuring a mother and daughter motif. It will be available on the KKW Fragrance website from 15 April.
In her announcement, Kim also revealed that 20 per cent of all fragrance sales would be donated to Blessings in a Backpack, an organisation that provides food on the weekends for vulnerable children across America. She has already donated $1 million (£811,000) to those affected most by Covid-19 via her SKIMS shapewear brand.
