Harry Styles has launched a special T-shirt to raise funds for the fight against the spread of coronavirus.
The Adore You singer unveiled the design on Tuesday, World Health Day, with the top featuring a message hammering home the need for people to self-isolate where possible to slow the rate of infection during the ongoing pandemic.
The white T-shirt features black text printed in capital letters, with the front reading, “Stay Home. Stay Safe. Protect Each Other.”
“This T-shirt fights Covid-19. Treat people with kindness,” reads the message on the back.
In a statement, Styles reiterated the need for social distancing.
“In times like these, it is more important than ever to remember the power of people. If you are able to help, please donate where you can. 100 per cent of the profits of this T-shirt will go towards fighting Covid-19,” the 26-year-old commented. “Stay home, self-isolate, and protect each other. TPWK (Treat people with kindness).”
The T-shirt, which retails for $26 (£21), is available as part of Styles’ official merchandise collection on his website, and the profits will be donated to the World Health Organization’s Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
The One Direction star is no stranger to releasing a fundraising T-shirt on his merchandise store. Back in December, to celebrate the release of his album Fine Line, he teamed up with his frequent collaborator, Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele, to create a limited-edition white T-shirt which featured a line drawing of a red bleeding heart being pierced by a black arrow.
The unisex top helped raise funds for the Global Fund for Women, a nonprofit foundation that supports women’s human rights initiatives.
