Alexa Chung has been living in a cardigan and jeans combo during lockdown.
The Next in Fashion host has been making sure she changes out of her pyjamas and wears proper clothes every day in self-isolation, and once she put on a cardigan and jeans from her eponymous fashion line, there was no going back – and it has become her lockdown wardrobe.
“Every day I make an effort to get dressed. It’s keeping me sane. Before we went into lockdown, my brand ALEXACHUNG launched a capsule of cosy essentials, so I’ve mostly been living in a navy-blue cardigan and jeans, and I just change the shirt out,” she told The Cut.
Although the British TV personality hasn’t had the opportunity to rock her favourite heels in the past few months, she has been getting them organised in preparation for the day she can venture out in them once more.
“I haven’t worn a pair of heels for a long time, but I’ve been arranging them in my attic so they’re ready to go when the time is right. My faves are a sparkly, strappy silver pair of Saint Laurent heels that I haven’t had the opportunity to wear yet but like to stare at,” she explained.
The 36-year-old, who was recently made the first-ever brand ambassador for London-based luxury beauty brand Code8, has also been spending lockdown in London making some “really weird” online purchases, such as some “knitted hot pants from Zara”, and doing virtual group exercise classes with her friends.
“It’s just a class that my friend Pixie (Geldof) leads for three or six of us, depending on how hungover people are. She does mat work with stretchy bands and lots of squats,” Alexa added.
