No Time to Die director Cary Joji Fukunaga has raved over Billie Eilish’s new 007 theme song.

The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter released the moody track, also titled No Time to Die, on Thursday night, becoming the youngest-ever artist to record a theme tune for a James Bond movie.

An audio clip has already racked up over 3.5 million views on Billie’s YouTube channel, and accordingly, Fukunaga is very impressed with what the 18-year-old and her producer brother Finneas came up with for his blockbuster.

“There are a chosen few who record a Bond theme. I am a huge fan of Billie and Finneas,” he praised. “Their creative integrity and talent are second to none and I cannot wait for audiences to hear what they’ve brought – a fresh new perspective whose vocals will echo for generations to come.”

Billie will debut the track live at the BRIT Awards, accompanied by Finneas, composer Hans Zimmer and the Smiths star Johnny Marr, in London next week. And the Bad Guy hitmaker still can’t believe she has recorded a Bond theme.

“It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honour. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock,” she shared, while her sibling added: “Writing the theme song for a Bond film is something we’ve been dreaming about doing our entire lives. There is no more iconic pairing of music and cinema than the likes of Goldfinger and Live and Let Die. We feel so, so lucky to play a small role in such a legendary franchise, long live 007.”

The brother and sister duo join the likes of Shirley Bassey, Sam Smith, and Adele in recording Bond themes.

No Time to Die, which stars Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, and Jeffrey Wright, will hit cinemas from 2 April.

Billie Eilish has been tapped to perform the theme song for new James Bond film No Time to Die.

Producers confirmed that the Bad Guy singer had signed on to perform the title track for the upcoming spy movie on Tuesday, with the gig making her the youngest artist in the history of the franchise to the tackle the theme.

Billie has teamed up with her older brother and frequent collaborator, Finneas O’Connell, to work on the tune, described by Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli as “an incredibly powerful and moving song”.

Gushing about the historic role, the 18-year-old shared, “It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honour. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock.”

While Finneas added, “Writing the theme song for a Bond film is something we’ve been dreaming about doing our entire lives. There is no more iconic pairing of music and cinema than the likes of Goldfinger and Live and Let Die. We feel so, so lucky to play a small role in such a legendary franchise, long live 007.”

Elsewhere, director Cary Joji Fukunaga insisted that James Bond fans will instantly fall in love with the song.

“There are a chosen few who record a Bond theme,” he commented. “I am a huge fan of Billie and Finneas. Their creative integrity and talent are second to none and I cannot wait for audiences to hear what they’ve brought – a fresh new perspective whose vocals will echo for generations to come.”

The track will be released to coincide with the global launch of No Time to Die, starring Daniel Craig, in April.

Billie follows in the footsteps of artists like Sam Smith, Adele, and Shirley Bassey in landing the prestigious honour.

Adele has reportedly told a fan that she’s lost around 100 pounds (45 kilograms) in weight.

The Hello singer hit headlines last week when she was seen on the beach in Anguilla showcasing a noticeably slimmer frame as she holidayed alongside pals Harry Styles and James Corden.

During the vacation, Adele dined at a beachside restaurant, where she got chatting to two fans who asked her about her new look.

“Adele came over and sat down next to me and my friend and was like, ‘So what can I do for you girls?'” Lexi Larson told People. “We were so excited. We were talking to her for a little while, and then she got Harry Styles to come over and sit with us also. We took a picture with Harry, and we talked to them for 15 minutes probably.

“She said she lost something like 100 pounds and that it’s such a crazy positive experience. She seemed so happy, and she looked amazing. She seemed really confident.”

According to reports, Adele has been following The Sirtfood Diet, which encourages people to eat sirtuin activator foods that suppress the appetite, such as apples, citrus fruits, blueberries, green tea, olive oil, and kale.

The 31-year-old has also apparently been participating in Reformer Pilates classes and taking part in regular sessions with private trainer Dalton Wong.

Previously, Adele showed off her svelte new figure in some snaps posted on Instagram at Christmas time, one of which she showed her posing next to a person dressed as The Grinch.

The British star has been steadily shedding the pounds since she split from her long-term partner Simon Konecki, the father of her seven-year-old son Angelo, in April 2019.

Adele has given fans another glimpse of her svelte new figure by sharing pictures from a recent Christmas party.

The 31-year-old shared two snaps from the festive bash on Instagram on Monday, showing off her staggering weight loss, which is estimated to be around 42 pounds (19 kilograms), while wearing a black silk dress.

“We both tried to ruin Christmas but then both our hearts grew! Thank you for coming to my party and making us feel like kids Grinch,” Adele wrote alongside the black-and-white pictures of her posing with The Grinch and Santa Claus. “Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone x.”

The mother-of-one paired her dress with pieces of costume jewellery, her signature red lipstick and chic waves in her shoulder-length hair.

“The only Christmas present I need!” one fan commented on the post, while another gushed: “YOU LOOK AMAZING GO OFF QUEEN.”

The Hello hitmaker has been steadily shedding the pounds since she split from her long-term partner Simon Konecki earlier this year. The couple, who share seven-year-old son Angelo, announced their separation in a statement in April, after eight years together.

Adele first debuted her dramatic weight loss at the end of October, when she attended Drake’s star-studded 33rd birthday bash in Hollywood wearing an off-the-shoulder black velvet dress.

“I used to cry but now I sweat,” she wrote alongside snaps of her from the party, referencing her new workout regime.

According to People, the Grammy winner takes part in regular sessions with private trainer Dalton Wong, who has worked with her close friend Jennifer Lawrence, Pilates classes, and workouts at Rise Nation.

Adele’s acting skills set to be tested for Oliver! role – report

Disney executives reportedly want Grammy Award-winning singer Adele to audition for the role of Nancy in the reboot of musical Oliver!

British newspaper The Sun first revealed in 2017 that Adele and Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne were the top choices to play Nancy and rogue Fagin in the movie, which will be produced by West End maestro Sir Cameron Mackintosh and Working Title Films, the team behind the three-time Oscar-winning 2012 film version of Les Miserables.

However, despite her world-class credentials, bosses in charge of remaking the musical Oliver! want the Hello singer to audition for the part of Bill Sikes’ prostitute lover, alongside the rest of the cast, to test out her ability to act.

“Bosses are still really keen to get Adele on board but they will not be seen to be giving her preferential treatment,” a source close to the Disney production told The Sun. “They know she has a world class voice but want to see if she can sustain that while also acting and dancing.

“It’s going to be a huge production and they need to cast the right people with enough stamina.”

The 1968 film version of Charles Dickens’ novel Oliver Twist, featuring the songs of Lionel Bart and starring Ron Moody as Fagin and Shani Wallis as Nancy, was nominated for 11 Oscars and won six. Adele herself already boasts an Oscar which she collected for Original Song for Bond theme Skyfall in 2013.

“There’s been a few bumps in the road on the project but everybody is quietly hopeful that once they get Adele in front of the panel they can move forward,” continued the source. “If it gets anything like the success of Cameron’s Les Miserables remake, everybody will be chuffed.”

Toby Haynes, of hit BBC drama Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, will direct the remake.

“She’s talked about (her son) Angelo being her number one priority and she sees this as a role that he could appreciate too,” a source told The Sun last September. “It would be a new challenge for her but one she would definitely be up for.”

Superstar Adele has honoured country icon Dolly Parton by dressing up as her busty blonde “hero” and sharing a sweet message online.

The 29-year-old took to social media on Tuesday (30Jan18) to show off the complete makeover she underwent for a night out, wearing an all-pink pant suit with a low-cut white shirt and a big curly blonde wig while holding a guitar.

Adele, who also sported blue eye shadow and long red nails, captioned the photo: “The effortless queen of song, Dolly Parton! We love you! We wish we could possess an ounce of your ability. You were the hero of our night! A hero of my life.”

“I’ll always love you,” the Brit added, quoting Dolly’s 1970s hit I Will Always Love You, which was revamped by Whitney Houston for The Bodyguard soundtrack in 1992.

The Hello hitmaker didn’t reveal the reason for her fancy dress, but Dolly has since praised the costume effort, commenting on her Instagram picture: “And I will always love you!”

Dolly previously expressed her admiration for Adele, whose signature cat-eye make-up inspired a lyric in the 72-year-old’s 2016 song Head Over High Heels, on which she sings, “I painted my lips red/And my eyes like Adele”.

“Everyone loves Adele,” Dolly gushed to the BBC at the time. “With all my little nieces, it’s all, ‘Adele this’ and ‘Adele that!’ And I love how she does her make-up, and so I’m always saying to my little nieces, ‘Can you fix my eyes like Adele?’.

“When I started that (Head Over High Heels) song, I had not planned to write that line. I was just thinking, ‘This needs to be about a girl dressing up sexy, so she’s got to have some make-up, and she’s got to paint her eyes.’ And all of a sudden it’s like, ‘And my eyes like Adele!'”
