Charlize Theron had a diamond bracelet woven into her hair for the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night.

The actress, who was nominated in the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role category for Bombshell, but lost out to Judy’s Renee Zellweger, looked stunning in a black and silver Givenchy outfit when she stepped out onto the red carpet at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

But while Charlize’s ensemble garnered lots of attention, it was the Tiffany & Co. diamond tennis bracelet placed on her centre parting that really had fans talking.

“I didn’t have time to do my roots. So, my lovely friend Adir (Abergel, hairstylist) said, ‘Why don’t we throw a Tiffany necklace or bracelet in there,'” she told People at the event.

The bracelet, costing around $15,000 (£11,500), contained approximately three carats worth of diamonds. Charlize also sported large diamond earrings, bracelets, and rings from the luxury brand.

And in a video posted on his Instagram page, celebrity hairstylist Adir shared a close-up of his handiwork, with it appearing that he had braided the 44-year-old’s hair down the middle, before sewing the bracelet in with thread to secure it.

“Thank you, everyone, for the overwhelming love and messages about this futuristic look. Here’s a closer look at how I attached that beautiful @tiffanyandco tennis bracelet. Shiny hair and diamonds can make anyone happy,” he commented.

Other celebrities to opt for lots of sparkle at the 2020 SAG Awards included Jennifer Lopez, who teamed her elegant Georges Hobeika gown with a beautiful diamond necklace from Harry Winston, Reese Witherspoon, who rocked a one-shoulder crystal-studded Celine dress, and Dakota Fanning, who positively sparkled in a heavily sequined seafoam green Valentino creation.

Charlize Theron had her hair cut and coloured just two hours before walking the red carpet at the 2020 Golden Globes.

The 44-year-old attended the Hollywood event on Sunday wearing a stunning black and green couture dress by Dior, and complemented the look with a fresh trim on her now-iconic pixie cut.

However, her longtime hairstylist Adir Abergel later shared his impressive work on Instagram, revealing that he had very little time to transform Charlize’s platinum blonde to more of a golden hue.

“Golden Globes goddess. Love collaborating with the most amazing team. We got to cut and color and style your hair in less than two hours. Love you @charlizeafrica,” he wrote alongside a picture of the Oscar-winning beauty.

Fans of the actress were quick to comment on Charlize’s new ‘do, with one writing: “Wow wow! In two hours? Reminds me of Twiggy in the ’60s absolutely flawless.”

Another commented: “She’s always hair goals. I’m cutting mine off this week.”

Charlize was up for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama at the annual ceremony for her role as former Fox News reporter Megyn Kelly in Bombshell, but lost out to Renee Zellweger, who scooped the award for her portrayal of Judy Garland in the biopic Judy.

She later presented her That Thing You Do! co-star Tom Hanks with the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award.

Meanwhile, Charlize took to Instagram on Tuesday to thank the team at Dior for creating her one-shouldered emerald green dress, which featured an exposed black bustier.

“Oh no! My bra is showing?!” she joked. “Shoutout to my incredible team for making me feel so good for the #GoldenGlobes.”

The actress/director has helmed the upcoming action comedy, which stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska as the new generation of Angels working at a private detective agency.

To celebrate the launch of the flick, Banks has now teamed with Virtue creative director Adir Abergel on a new campaign dedicated to supporting She’s the First, a non-profit organisation which helps to fight gender inequality through education, and RAD (Redcarpet ADvocacy), a group which looks to partner talent and brands through purpose.

“I wanted to make Charlie’s Angels to show women as the powerful human beings we are-so I’m proud to partner with RAD and Virtue hair care to help drive that message home and to educate and empower young girls by supporting She’s the First,” Banks said.

Charlize Theron has opted for a ’90s-inspired bowl cut for her appearance in Fast & Furious 9.

The Academy Award-winning actress made her debut in the eighth instalment of the action franchise, 2017’s The Fate of the Furious, in which she played Cipher, a criminal mastermind and cyberterrorist who coerces Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) into working against his team by holding Elena Neves (Elsa Pataky) and their son hostage.

For her part in the movie, Charlize sported platinum blonde locks which were styled into twisted braids, but on Monday, she took to Instagram to upload a snap of Cipher’s new hairdo – a short brunette crop with honey blonde highlights.

“She’s baaaaack #Fast9,” she captioned two snaps from the set of the film.

Charlize, 44, didn’t share any further details about her latest transformation, however, her longtime hairstylist Adir Abergel uploaded a post in which he explained that the bowl cut was influenced by “early images” of 1990s supermodels Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford by photographer Peter Lindbergh.

“I always feel so blessed collaborating with this insanely talented human @charlizeafrica. I was inspired by early images of Linda Evangelista shot by @therealpeterlindbergh. It took some rad people to make this one come to life,” the hair expert captioned a picture of Charlize, before adding a vintage photo of Linda and Cindy and writing: “I was inspired by Linda Evangelista and Peter Lindbergh early ’90s vibes for Charlize’s new hair look. This image of @lindaevangelista@cindycrawford has been in my brain for a long time.”

A number of Charlize’s celebrity followers were quick to praise her bold new look too, with Lily Collins writing in the comments section, “Love this!!” and January Jones adding, “This hair is next level good. But would only look good on you.”

Fast & Furious 9, also starring Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, John Cena, and Helen Mirren, is due to hit cinemas in May 2020.

Charlize Theron debuted faux baby bangs at the New York City premiere of Long Shot on Tuesday night (30Apr19).

The actress, who unveiled a new bob and dyed her hair a deep chestnut shade for the Academy Awards in February, made a splash when she stepped out on the red carpet at the event held at AMC Lincoln Square, with her new fringe perfectly complementing her sharply tailored black Dior suit.

At first, some fans thought Charlize had fully committed to bangs, however, her hairstylist Adir Abergel later confirmed that the look was created using a hairpiece.

“Charlize is one of my greatest muses. It’s been so much fun working with her. A couple of months ago, we decided to take her brunette and cut her hair into a bob for the Oscars,” he told Just Jared. “I love that she is a risk taker and explores different styles. For the premiere, we wanted to push it just a little bit further, and I decided to give her some faux bangs.”

Adir, who also works with the likes of Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel and Eva Green, went on to explain that his inspiration for Charlize’s bold bangs was an image of supermodel Linda Evangelista from the 1990s.

In addition, the hairstylist uploaded two pictures to Instagram showing him working on the 43-year-old star’s tresses prior to the premiere, and shared that he had completed the transformation by first using a hair mask from Virtue Labs before proceeding to sweep the rest of her locks into a low ponytail.

“New bangs on this muse @charlizeafrica,” he captioned one snap. “Love collaborating with this magical human. A little @virtuelabs hair mask, a little sleek ponytail and some new faux bangs and we are ready! Always have fun with your looks, hair is one of the greatest accessories.”

Long Shot, which also features Seth Rogen and June Diane Raphael, begins hitting cinemas around the world from Wednesday.
