Ashley Tisdale is shuttering her beauty brand, Illuminate Cosmetics.

The High School Musical actress launched her make-up company back in 2016, with the label offering up budget-friendly eyeshadow palettes, brush sets, lip glosses, and highlighter kits.

However, Ashley took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce that she is closing Illuminate Cosmetics in order to focus on her Hollywood career.

“Hey guys! I’m so sorry for the sad news but I will be shutting down Illuminate Cosmetics, it’s been quite a journey and I thank all of my customers and supporters for coming along (for) the ride,” she wrote. “It started four years ago and as you all know I’ve been trying to run it alone and with my TV shows and movies I just haven’t been able to give illuminate the focus it has needed.”

Ashley is currently appearing in U.S. sitcom Carol’s Second Act and Netflix holiday series Merry Happy Whatever. She also released her third studio album, Symptoms, last year.

And further on in her post, the star indicated that she had struggled to keep Illuminate Cosmetics afloat due to the number of other celebrity brands, such as Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty and Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics, already competing in the market.

“I won’t call this a failure as I have learned so much with taking over the company. I will just say that with the overwhelming market in make-up I just lost my passion for Illuminate. I came into make-up early on but now that everyone is jumping into it, I feel it’s my time to step out. Don’t worry this isn’t the end to me being creative, it’s just the end for this brand in particular. I love you guys,” the 34-year-old concluded.

Ashley Tisdale has noticed a change in her complexion since she gave up eating dairy products.

The actress/singer took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a close-up clip focused on her flawless face, and in the accompanying caption, told her followers that while she uses luxury brands such as La Mer, her glowing skin is down to one inexpensive lifestyle change.

“Skin never looked so good,” the 34-year-old wrote. “I would love to say it’s just the products I use but I’ve been dairy-free for five years and I swear it changed everything with my skin.

“I barely break out. I know it’s hard to give up something but when you do after a while you barely crave it and I feel healthier.”

While acne flare-ups can be associated with dairy products such as milk and cheese, they can also be attributed to a diet that contains sugar, alcohol, and processed carbohydrates.

Previously, Ashley opened up on her decision to cut down on her consumption of animal products after discovering that she was reacting badly to them.

“What you eat and finding out what you are sensitive to food-wise is important, too, because your skin is a reflection of what you are ingesting. So, if something breaks you out, doing a journal of what you ate that day and seeing how your skin reacts is helpful,” the High School Musical star told Haute Living magazine last year.

Ashley Tisdale was such a fan of her character’s wardrobe in High School Musical, she took all the items home with her.

The actress, who portrayed Sharpay Evans in the hit TV and film franchise, kept the pieces for herself against the wishes of studio bosses at Disney, the company behind the production.

In a new interview with Buzzfeed, the 33 year old admits she thought all the items could double up as red carpet attire.

“A lot of our clothes (from the show) are in like, hall of fames (sic), and they didn’t have Sharpay’s stuff,” the actress and singer explains. “Disney tried so hard to get the clothes from me and I was like, ‘No, this is mine’. So, yeah, they don’t have any of the clothes from the first movie. I do.”

The star also looked back on her embarrassing fashion choices early in her career, but insists she’s still proud of a lot of the things she wore.

“I remember wearing flip flops on the carpet and army fatigue pants,” she said. “I was like, ‘This is what I’m going to wear to a red carpet. I’m so cool’.”

Tisdale, who has been busy promoting new items from her makeup collection with BH cosmetics, insists she felt really free with her style at the time: “I can say that, for me, some of those images are so funny,” she recently told Paper. “Looking back sometimes, I’m just like, ‘What was I thinking?’ But at the same time, I realise that I was so confident.

“I think that that is such a beautiful thing in those images. As you obviously grow up in this business, and then you become more in the spotlight, people are obviously criticising you and you’re changing things. I just look back, and I’m like, ‘You know what, that is awesome’. I could not care and I just did my thing. And that’s just amazing!”

Lea Michele finds taking a luxurious bath to be the best way to relax.

The actress/singer always turns heads on the red carpet and is known for her flawless complexion and shiny brunette locks.

While Lea has a very busy schedule with her work on TV show The Mayor and planning her upcoming nuptials to Zandy Reich, she has now shared that finds the best way to slow down at the end of the day is a long soak in the tub.

“I am a really big fan of (Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle brand) Goop, and I love their detox bath salts at the end of the day or even before an event if I want to relax or detox,” she told People.com. “I love using their charcoal one as well – all of them are incredible and the complete detox line is fantastic. I can detox my system or I use them to get my skin to look its absolute best.”

When Lea has more time to spare, she will call up her friend Emma Roberts and book in a session at Shape House, an “urban sweat” lodge.

Or she will ask Ashley Tisdale to go for a massage with her.

“We get massages together, she loves beauty. She will tell me all of her favourite little beauty things,” the 31-year-old smiled.

During the interview, Lea explained that she is boosting her health by taking Olly Vitamins, the company she is a brand ambassador for. And she also abides by a mostly plant-based diet.

“Beauty is not just on the outside. Getting to feel and look your absolute best starts from the inside out,” she added. “I go back and forth in between pescatarian and vegetarian diet, and I love doing cleanses when I can. I see results in my skin and in my hair, the texture of my hair, and my overall energy level.”

Lea Michele will be wearing the first wedding dress she tried on when she weds Zandy Reich.

The former Glee actress began dating AYR clothing brand executive Zandy in July 2017, with the pair getting engaged in April.

Lea and Zandy threw a star-studded engagement party to celebrate their love last weekend, but it appears that the star is already working on wedding plans as she has confirmed to PeopleStyle that she had no hesitation over what gown to wear on her big day.

“I saw a photo, it was the first one I tried on and it was the one that I picked,” she told the publication of her dress. “I’m a very decisive person so they said I was one of the easiest brides that they have ever dealt with.”

Lea didn’t share any further details about the style or designer of the wedding gown. But she did indicate that it will complement the four-carat diamond engagement ring Zandy gave her.

“He really took care of everything himself,” the 31-year-old said of her gorgeous bling. “I think he knows me well enough but I give him all of the credit, and obviously the designer, but he really surprised me and did an amazing job.”

Lea and Zandy’s engagement party on Saturday was attended by a number of celebrities, including Ashley Tisdale, Emma Roberts, Hilary Duff, Billie Lourd and JoAnna Garcia Swisher.

The actress, who previously dated her late Glee co-star Cory Monteith, shared snaps from the event on her Instagram page and explained that the date was important to her because her parents Edith and Mark had also just celebrated their wedding anniversary.

“My incredible parents celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary Friday,” she captioned a snap of her and her mother and father. “I picked out my wedding dress (yesterday) and today is our engagement party. And I look up to you both so much and we love you both more than you know.”
