Sam Smith always suffers from “tricky body issues” during the Christmas holidays.

The singer, who came out as non-binary earlier this year and now prefers to be referred to with the pronouns they/their, posted a black and white topless snap on Instagram, with the image showing their arms crossed across a hairy chest.

Alongside the picture, Smith wrote: “Christmas time is upon us. This time of the year always triggers tricky body issues with me. I love me some mince pies and all the trimmings, and I always find I gain a bit of weight during this time.

“I’m writing this out to you all, but also writing this for myself. Let’s make sure we remind our bodies during this time that no matter what weight we are, we are deserving of love and acceptance. Let’s love our fluctuating bodies. Look in that mirror and shower that reflection with Christmas kindness. Be super soft. It’s an everyday struggle for me. You aren’t alone.”

The Stay With Me singer was quickly inundated with messages from their fans and celebrity friends, including plus-size model Tess Holliday, who wrote: “Yes. This. Forever. You are beautiful and valid regardless of your size, and thank you for sharing this. (Oh and enjoy all the mince pies).”

Singer Brandi Carlile commented, “You are f**king beautiful Sam”, while Beth Ditto added, “i deserve alllllllll that cake (sic) !”

Smith has previously spoken about their battle with weight and body confidence, writing on Instagram back in April that they have “always hated being naked”. Despite that, the star decided to have a naked day and added to fans: “It has been so empowering and wonderful and f**king FUN. I think everyone should have a naked day once in a while and celebrate that beautiful human body of yours.”

Labelled #MYCALVINS IRL (in real life), the pictures show Naomi and Bella in both filtered photos from a photoshoot and more relaxed snaps lensed at home.

“The fall 2019 Calvin Klein Underwear campaign, #MYCALVINS IRL – In Real Life – celebrates two totally different perspectives of what sexy looks like,” a Calvin Klein spokesperson explained of the concept. “The result blurs the line between the public image and private realities of our unapologetic cast and asks the question, how do you do sexy? Perfectly filtered or IRL raw?”

Other celebrities to feature in the campaign include DJ/producer Diplo, actor Jacob Elordi, NFL star Odell Beckham, Jr., actress Jelly Lin, musicians Beth Ditto and Lay Zhang, as well as models Matthew Noszka and Cara Taylor.

One half of Diplo’s image shows him standing with a serious gaze as he models a pair of boxer briefs, while the other half depicts him demonstrating a yoga pose. Euphoria star Jacob is also shown appearing to remove his sweatpants in his candid image, and Ditto models a black lacy bra as she reclines on a grey sofa.

The stars also front an accompanying campaign video directed by Bardia Zeinali.

“The #MYCALVINS IRL campaign brings a unique point of view on sexy by capturing both the posed and stripped-back sides,” they added. “The campaign brings to life the playful and pure perspective of sexy; one that encourages self-expression and underscores the idea that sexy is a state of mind.”

Madonna has been wearing the brand new Moschino x H&M collection to do the cooking at home.

The Queen of Pop was one of the A-list guests at Moschino designer Jeremy Scott’s London launch party on Tuesday night (06Nov18), where she was snapped in key pieces from the new range – the black hooded dress with images of gold chain detailing across the front and cuffs. her daughters Stelle and Estere, five, also joined her at the bash. And she switched it up when she got back to her London home, opting for the MTV Moschino hoodie teamed with a red faux fur coat with added chains.

“Cooking up something in the studio kitchen! @moschino #music #magic #mambo,” she wrote on Instagram.

Scott shared the same image, and wrote: “MMM GOOD ! @madonna @mtv @moschino !!! #HMOSCHINO.”

The full collection drops on Thursday, with fashion fans running into difficulty trying to get their hands on the coveted line. Scott is the latest high-end designer to team with the Swedish high street retailer, and he joins the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Kenzo and Alexander Wang among other top fashion names.

Also at the launch party, held at London night spot Annabel’s, was Beth Ditto and Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall, who were also both decked out in the new garments.

“@itsjeremyscott you are a b**ody dream so much fun (too much, feeling it today) at the @hm x @moschino party,” Jade captioned a photo of her and Scott posing together.

Models Gigi Hadid, Vittoria Ceretti, Soo Joo Park, Imaan Hammam, Stella Maxwell and Rianne van Rompaey were last month unveiled as the campaign stars for the hotly anticipated collab.

Beth Ditto is considering launching her own beauty brand.

With stars like Kylie Jenner and Rihanna boosting their bank balances with cosmetic lines, entering the beauty world has become all the rage for celebrities who have an interest in make-up.

And former Gossip singer and beauty junkie Beth could be next.

“I think about doing my own beauty brand all the time,” she told Refinery 29. “I love the smell of make-up, the look of it – I even wear eyeliner to the beach. Working with MAC (in 2012) was really fun, but I’m still in this headspace of, I’m Beth, I make music and I’m a really good babysitter. My problem is that I’m really bad at self-promotion and social media. It feels too unnatural – it’s not who I am.

“Would I do my own line, in a world where I didn’t have to sell anything? Yes! But right now, I’m into body scrubs. Just sugar, coconut oil, and essential oils, and you just mix it up.”

Explaining that she’s very crafty and a fan of crochet, Beth added that she is keen to bring out her own line of yarn.

As well as being talented when it comes to applying her own make-up, the songstress, who released debut solo album Fake Sugar last year (17), also uses her beauty prep time before a gig as a form of meditation.

“Before a show, I spend about two hours by myself doing my hair and make-up. It’s a really important, meditative time for me – for creativity and reflection, almost like painting,” the 37-year-old shared. “It’s not just like, I have to look good before I go out there! Because that’s not the goal. I don’t feel like I look better when I go on stage or when I do a photoshoot; I just feel different. It’s a way of breaking the monotony.”

Singer and actress Beth Ditto is proud to be a fashionable “social justice warrior” creating positive change in the world.

The former Gossip frontwoman has released two eponymous plus-size clothing lines and part of her aim with the garb is to promote tolerance through stylish attire.

“People are like, ‘Ugh, a SJW (social justice warrior),’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, why is that bad?’,” she muses to USA Today. “I just wanted to give people options (with outfits). There’s this big gap that’s missing (in plus-size fashion): You either have high-street or you have really, really expensive. A lot of people I know who are my size can afford to get things tailored, but not everybody can afford to do that.”

Beth, who stars alongside Jonah Hill and Joaquin Phoenix in new dramatic comedy Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot, feels it’s her duty as a celebrity to use her platform to make a large, favourable impact on society.

“I would rather hang out with a celebrity who talks about caring for the world,” she explains. “I want to hear what people have to say. We live in a celebrity culture where it’s very obviously looked up to and followed to a T: the way people look, the way people talk, the way people act.

“That is the culture we live in, and if that’s what it takes to instill some sort of empathy and right-doing for the good of everybody, then I think that’s the most awesome thing you can do.”

Beth left her hit rock group Gossip in 2016 to pursue solo musical projects and a career in fashion.
