Armie Hammer has shocked fans by shaving his head during self-isolation.

The Call Me by Your Name actor surprised his Instagram followers in April when he debuted a radical new look featuring a mohawk and a handlebar moustache, and on Tuesday, he revealed he had taken matters a step further by shaving his hair off entirely.

He posted a picture to his Instagram Stories which showed him wearing a patterned kaftan and shorts while holding a bottle of beer and a mixing bowl in his hands. He can be seen standing in a kitchen with his new shaved head, a trimmed moustache, and pink toenails.

“Day 1328 of the ‘Tine: Cracked a beer, put on a Kaftan and fried up some Mac n cheese balls at 9:30 in the morning. What are you gonna do about it?” he wrote in the accompanying caption.

The Social Network actor has been in lockdown with his wife Elizabeth Chambers and their two children on the Cayman Islands, where he lived as a young boy.

After he shared a snap of his new mohawk look, which he accompanied with a fringed tank top and patterned beach shorts, on Instagram in April, Chambers posted video footage of her husband using clippers on his hair and wrote, “Week 5 of quarantine and the wheels have completely fallen off the damn bus.”

Hammer isn’t the only celebrity to experiment with his hair during the lockdown. Pink also gave herself a buzzcut, Blake Shelton is growing a mullet, and the likes of Dua Lipa and Hilary Duff gave dyed their hair unusual shades.

Gwen Stefani gave her partner Blake Shelton a haircut during a TV interview on Monday.

The country music star, who is self-isolating at his home in Oklahoma, was in the middle of a video interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon when former No Doubt singer Gwen appeared with clippers to buzz the sides of his burgeoning mullet.

“We’re pretty self-sufficient out here. As a matter of fact, we actually had a schedule that we had lined up for today and I don’t think we can put it off any longer, so…” Blake said, before Gwen came into shot.

The Hollaback Girl star then began to tidy up the sides and added: “I’m going to be helping Blake grow out his mullet, so we had already scheduled that today is haircut day. I’ve got my clippers and my attachments.”

After closely shaving the sides, Blake asked her to take his cut one step further by buzzing the initials “J” and “F” – for Jimmy Fallon – into the side of his head.

“She just said they’re not showing up very well because of the grey (hairs),” Blake joked, as Gwen said, “Oh, no… that looks terrible.”

Reacting to the look, Jimmy told the singer, “Dude, you are so Tiger King right now. You have no idea,” referring to the popular Netflix documentary series.

Blake, who sported a mullet cut during his youth, recently decided to let his typically short hair grow out during his forced downtime amid the coronavirus pandemic, after the public health crisis led to the postponement of his Friends and Heroes Tour.

However, Gwen previously mocked the hairstyle during a September appearance on U.S. TV show Late Night with Seth Meyers, and insisted: “I never, never thought I’d get the opportunity to be with someone that has a mullet, or had a mullet! Can you believe it? He actually had that haircut! He thought that was great.”

Katharine McPhee recently gave her husband David Foster’s hair a trim during an Instagram Live session.

The couple has been staging daily mini-concerts on social media while in self-isolation during the coronavirus pandemic, and on Wednesday, the Smash star revealed she had stepped up and become a barber to give the veteran musician a much-needed tidy-up.

After introducing viewers to the live stream, McPhee recapped what they had been up to since their last online gig.

“The update is I cut your hair,” she said as she turned to Foster, and then pulled out a pair of scissors to trim his locks a little further.

“She did an amazing job – look at this!” Foster gushed, as McPhee explained, “It’s just a minor adjustment.”

“She did a great, great job,” the 70-year old-continued. “My hair was getting so long. I was starting to look like Einstein!”

McPhee and Foster aren’t the only celebrities giving each other at-home haircuts. Gwen Stefani recently helped style her boyfriend Blake Shelton’s new mullet by shaving stripes into the side of his head, while Ryan Reynolds revealed his wife Blake Lively was going to cut his hair shortly.

However, he joked that he wasn’t too thrilled about the idea since her first attempt wasn’t a success.

“She’s done this once before. It took two and a half hours. And then at the end, it looked like she had done the whole thing using only a lighter or like those gloves that are made of sandpaper,” the 43-year-old deadpanned. “It would have been a little faster and more efficient if she’d just wore it down, if she’d just rubbed my head until the hair just disappeared.”

Pink also realised the downsides of DIY hairstyling after she gave herself an uneven buzz cut.

Gwen Stefani has shaved stripes into the side of boyfriend Blake Shelton’s head to help style his new mullet.

The country superstar, who sported the dated cut during his youth, recently decided to let his typically-short hair grow out during his forced downtime, after the coronavirus pandemic led to the postponement of his Friends and Heroes Tour.

“I am growing my mullet back as a symbol of hope or some s**t like that…,” he declared on Twitter earlier this month. “Anyway it’s coming back! For real. Stay tuned…”

On Thursday, Shelton showed off his work-in-progress in a video clip on Twitter, revealing his 50-year-old girlfriend had stepped in to try and improve his changing image.

“Quarantine mullet update 3/26/2020,” Shelton captioned the post. “@gwenstefani has decided to take it to the next level.. Stripes.”

The couple is also keeping busy in self-isolation by dressing up in matching camouflage outfits, with the No Doubt rocker even donning a pair of comfy Crocs bearing the same design.

“Our first quarantine photo shoot…,” the country singer quipped as he shared a picture of the pair posing for the camera.

The Voice U.S. judge isn’t the only celebrity making a hairstyle change during self-isolation – Pink recently took to Instagram to show off her new uneven buzz cut after deciding to give her hair a trim during a drunken night at home.

“Stay safe. Stay home. Cut your own hair! Screw it!” she joked.

Jim Carrey and Will Smith have decided to grow beards while in self-isolation during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Mask star has chosen to let his facial grooming routine slide during the unexpected downtime, and plans to keep fans updated on his hairy transformation by sharing regular snaps of his progress on social media.

Taking to Twitter to share a selfie to show off his stubble on Monday, Carrey wrote, “Day 1. I’m growing a beard until we all go back to work. I’ll post reg (regular) pics so you can marvel at the miracle of my meaningless transformation. Normally, I try to stay on the cutting edge of entertainment. Now I shall conquer the uncutting edge. Please join me. #letsgrowtogether.”

Commenting on his post, Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams announced she would be taking up the challenge, only she has chosen to let her body hair grow out.

“Gonna do this with my armpits,” the 22-year-old replied.

He’s not the only one growing a beard – followers of Smith’s Instagram account noticed that his facial hair, a closely trimmed moustache, and beard, had been significantly growing, and he addressed the comments in a video on Tuesday.

“I’ve been reading all the comments and all y’all talking crazy about my beard, y’all talking about my beard. I don’t know why you’re acting surprised, I’ve been rocking the beard forever,” he joked, before he shared clips of himself in Men in Black, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and Aladdin. They had been edited so that his current bushy salt and pepper beard had been placed on his characters’ faces.

“Who else lettin’ their beard grow out?!” he wrote in the caption.

They aren’t the only one growing out hair – country star Blake Shelton recently announced he is growing back his mullet as a “symbol of hope” during the global health crisis.

Blake Shelton is planning on bringing back his old mullet hairstyle.

The country music star, who sported the iconic look in the early 2000s, announced to fans on Twitter on Tuesday that he was bringing back the hairstyle, in which the hair is cut short at the front but left long in the back, as a “symbol of hope” amid the global coronavirus crisis.

“I have an announcement. With basically EVERYTHING I had scheduled being cancelled for the foreseeable further @gwenstefani and I have made a decision together,” he tweeted. “I am growing my mullet back as a symbol of hope or some s**t like that. Anyway, it’s coming back! For real. Stay tuned…”

Gwen Stefani, who has been dating the musician since 2015, is yet to publicly confirm if she is onboard with Blake’s mullet plan, but one of his fellow judges on The Voice U.S. seemed keen on the idea.

“I think this may be the cure we’ve been searching for!” John Legend tweeted.

However, the announcement divided his fans, with one user writing, “Don’t do it cowboy. You look way better with short hair,” and another posting, “Please say this is a joke.”

Others were more supportive though, with one tweeting, “We will need weekly updates! Great idea!”

Blake, who was named People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2017, famously sported a mullet for the first few years of his career before chopping off the long locks and going for a short look.

During a 2017 appearance on America’s TODAY Show, the 43-year-old looked at throwback pictures of himself with the mullet and couldn’t help but laugh at his old hairstyle.

“I mean, that is ridiculous… Why didn’t my family or friends or somebody tell me how stupid I looked?” he responded.

Kate Hudson is looking to make a splash in the liquor industry with her own craft vodka brand.

The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star has created King St. Vodka, described as an “ultra-premium spirit” hand-crafted in Santa Barbara, California, after realising this particular corner of the market is one dominated by male entrepreneurs.

Hudson explained how the idea came about in a new Instagram post announcing her latest venture, writing, “After a particularly long day, I decided to host an impromptu cocktail party with my closest friends.

“As I prepared to whip up a batch of dirty vodka martinis I surveyed my bar, but I wasn’t 100 per cent happy with my options. Then I wondered, ‘Are any of these vodkas founded by women?’ I did some research, they weren’t. So, I decided to make my own just the way I like it! @KingStVodka #KingStVodka.”

In additional marketing materials, the actress revealed that the brand is named after the New York City street on which she once lived, “where many of my most precious memories were made”.

A release date has yet to be announced, but Hudson promises fans the seven-times distilled liquor, which is free of gluten and distilled with alkaline water, is “insanely delicious” and “best served with good company”.

“The creative side of me thought it would be a fun challenge to develop a vodka for my palate, and in a beautiful package that I would love to have on my bar and share with friends. The businessperson in me is now looking forward to the challenge of building a brand in an entirely new industry,” the 40-year-old added.

Hudson is the latest celebrity to unveil her own vodka brand – rap mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is behind the Ciroc label, actor Channing Tatum launched the Born and Bred line in 2017, and country star Blake Shelton owns Smithworks Vodka.

Gwen Stefani thanked her mum and grandmother for giving her their sense of style as she picked up the Fashion Icon honour at the People’s Choice Awards on Sunday night.

The pop star revealed her matriarchs influenced her look and inspired her love of fashion as she hit the stage to collect her honour in Santa Monica, California.

“I always loved fashion, it was one of those instinctual things,” the 50-year-old said. “My mom would come home from school and my grandmother would have made her prom dress.”

Her designer pal Jeremy Scott was on hand to salute her at the awards show, insisting Gwen’s designs “always have a piece of her in them”, and adding, “She has never forgotten who she is or who we are.”

The former No Doubt frontwoman wowed in a blush Vera Wang gown with a huge black bow and walked the red carpet with boyfriend Blake Shelton, who was wearing jeans and brown boots.

She also discussed what it was like to have fans of No Doubt copying her style.

“I can remember being on the tour bus with No Doubt and looking out the window… and seeing myself and going, ‘Wait a minute, that girl’s copying me!” Gwen told E! News host Giuliana Rancic. “To have someone copy me was just bizarre – and it’s a great feeling, especially when you’re designing as well.”

Stefani, the brains behind fashion brands L.A.M.B. and Harajuku Lovers, later revealed she would be handing her trophy to her 11-year-old son Zuma.

Miranda Lambert gave a special mention to her “sweet husband” Brendan McLoughlin during her gig in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Saturday.

The country superstar wed the New York Police Department officer in January, just two months after they met in the Big Apple when Miranda performed on Good Morning America with her group, the Pistol Annies.

Midway through the set on Saturday she paused proceedings to declare her love for her beau.

“Something about country music is usually a sad song,” she told the audience. “You gotta have them, sometimes the sad song gets you through a sad time, isn’t that right? Lucky for me, I’m not in a sad time anymore in my life.”

The House That Built Me hitmaker then flashed her impressive wedding ring, declaring “Thank you to my sweet husband from Staten Island, by the way!” – as Brendan acknowledged his wife’s gesture from the side of the stage.

“But no matter what, sometimes you always go maybe in a dark room and drink a beer and sing a sad song and that’s what I’m going to do, because I love it,” Lambert added, before performing her 2017 hit Tin Man.

The track was written shortly after the singer’s split from ex-husband Blake Shelton in 2015, and plays on the analogy of the popular The Wizard of Oz character – who doesn’t have a heart.

Country star Blake Shelton is reuniting with Kelly Clarkson on the big screen after joining the cast of her new animated movie UglyDolls.

The Honey Bee hitmaker, who was crowned People magazine’s 2017 Sexiest Man Alive, will voice the role of Ox, the unofficial mayor of a fictional town called Uglyville.

The gig also features Blake performing original songs as the cocky character.

“Blake is one of country music’s most talented and highly regarded artists, and his signature wit and infectious charisma lend themselves perfectly to the character of Ox, who fancies himself a defacto Mayor of the UglyDolls,” Adam Fogelson, chairman of STXfilms, shares in a statement to Variety.

Blake’s The Voice co-star Kelly will lead the cast as Moxy, who, along with her pals, confront issues about fitting in as they learn to eventually love themselves.

UglyDolls, based on the popular plush toys created by David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim, also features the vocal talents of Nick Jonas, rapper Pitbull, and comedians Wanda Sykes, and Gabriel Iglesias.

Clarkson, Jonas, and Pitbull will also contribute new material for the movie soundtrack.

The children’s project, designed to be the start of a film franchise, is due to launch in theatres in May, 2019.

Blake is gradually building up his acting resume – he previously made an appearance in Pitch Perfect 2 and Adam Sandler comedy The Ridiculous 6 as famed gunslinger Wyatt Earp, while he also voiced Earl Pig in another animated film, 2016’s The Angry Birds Movie.
