Cardi B has urged women not to criticise those who have had plastic surgery, admitting she “remembers the struggle” of having tiny breasts and a flat bottom.

The 26-year-old rapper has been very open about the procedures she’s undergone, including having her breasts redone and having liposuction following the birth of her daughter Kulture in July 2018.

And in a video shared on Instagram on Sunday night, Cardi told her fans that she will never criticise anyone for going under the knife because she understands the reasoning behind it.

Calling out “natural b**ches” who leave comments such as “Ugh, your body’s fake. Ugh, plastic this, plastic that”, Cardi continued: “Let me tell you something. I don’t like talking s**t about b**ches’ bodies because I remember the struggle, baby. I remember when I had no motherf**king t**ties and I remember when I had a fun-sized a*s.”

She captioned the video: “Am I bugging ? Women talk about uplifting each other, but are we really uplifting each other ?”

In the comments section of the clip, the Bodak Yellow star went on to slam those women who leave remarks such as, “Don’t go to the ocean or you’re gonna kill all the whales with your motherf**king plastic a*s body.”

“If you confident in yourself, you don’t got to be under the next b**ch’s comments talking about her body,” she wrote. “My sister, she natural, she got small t**ties, she got a little cute ass. She ain’t hatin’ on the next b**ch because she know that if she want it, she could get it.”

Cardi B has opened up about embracing her “weirdness” in a new video campaign for sportswear giant Reebok.

The Bodak Yellow hitmaker was named as a brand ambassador for the footwear and apparel company in November.

Now, Cardi has teamed up with Reebok executives to front the Meet You There collection, a streetwear-inspired take on athleisure.

In the campaign images, the 26-year-old wears a green, blue, and white colour-blocked sports bra, black bike shorts, and a black sports jacket from the line. The accompanying video shows Cardi posing in the outfit on a city rooftop and talking about what makes her unique.

“I just thought I was weird because everyone keep telling me I’m weird (sic),” she admitted in the video. “But when I started doing videos on Instagram and so many people claimed they relate to me, I was like, ‘I guess there was a lot of weird people out there!'”

She also shared that her style was influenced by The Bronx borough in New York, where she grew up, and admitted she was insecure about her accent before she realised she had to be true to herself.

“A lot of people always talk about how I talk – I have a really deep accent,” the star continued. “I started feeling really insecure about it, but it’s like, ‘Nah, forget it.’ I gotta be real with myself all the time. That’s something I gotta do to stay me.”

The Meet You There collection, which offers sizes 2XS to 3XL and caters to men and women, also features tank tops, gym leggings, hoodies, trainers, and shorts.

Cardi B has showed off her comedic side in her debut ad for Reebok.

The I Like It rapper was named as a brand ambassador for the sportswear giant last November, and on Tuesday, she dropped her first commercial – called Nails – in which she promotes the updated Club C Classic shoes.

During the short film, Cardi is seen sitting in a salon getting her hair done, as she discusses blocking a man on her phone who had failed to text her two days after they met.

She then notices her pristine white Reebok Classic Club Cs are untied, and rather than mess up her hair and lean over to tie up her shoelaces, she lets her freshly manicured nails do the work.

With her hands resting on her legs, Cardi’s nails grow to the floor, tie her shoes for her and then retract.

At the end of the video, the 26-year-old turns to a fellow customer and simply states: “Nailed it… So anyway, I think I’m going to block him.”

Cardi uploaded the video to her Instagram page too, with Snoop Dogg among the thousands of fans who commented on her post, simply writing: “U 2 Much,” alongside three of fire emojis.

Inga Stenta, senior director of global marketing at Reebok, said she wanted to “take a different path” while working with Cardi on the Club C Classic advert.

“Working with Cardi on Nails, we aimed to create a moment that is authentic to Cardi while breaking convention and doing something more engaging than a typical celebrity cameo. We took a different path, putting her in an everyday-type situation that shifts in an unexpected manner, spotlighting the iconic Reebok Club C in a completely unique way,” she commented.

Anna Wintour was “completely in awe” over the crimson gown Cardi B wore to the 2019 Met Gala.

The Bodak Yellow rapper attended the camp-themed event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City back in early May and wowed the crowd with her dramatic red high-neck dress which was covered in 30,000 feathers and featured a custom-made bodice containing 44 carats worth of rubies.

Accordingly, U.S. Vogue editor-in-chief Wintour has now shared the latest Met Gala was the moment she was convinced Cardi has what it takes to be a fashion icon.

“I was completely in awe of the stunning dress that Cardi B wore to the Met this year. She looked unbelievable,” she said in an interview for her Go Ask Anna video series. “It was designed by Thom Browne, she could barely move but it made no difference. I mean, people parted like the queen was coming through because she looked so fantastic. And I had not seen her look as chic or as original beforehand, so I have completely rethought my opinion of Cardi B’s style.”

Elsewhere in the clip, Wintour noted that sleeveless dresses are her summer must-have and jokingly commented that she wishes more fashion shows “started on time”.

And of all of the hundreds of fashion shows she has attended over the course of her career, the editor pinpointed John Galliano’s fall 1994 presentation held in Paris as her most memorable.

“My very favourite fashion show of all time was a show that John Galliano gave in a broken down, dilapidated, extraordinary mansion in Paris and the collection was all black,” the 69-year-old recalled. “John created every single look himself. And he’d been out of the public eye for a while. So, it was very emotional for him and for everybody in the audience that he was having his comeback.”

Cardi B has splashed out $80,000 (£63,000) on diamond jewellery for her baby daughter Kulture.

The Bodak Yellow rapper took to Instagram on Monday to share a screenshot of a text message showing the details of her purchase as well as a photo of nine jewel-encrusted tennis bracelets and a pair of large diamond stud earrings.

“Everything will be ready at 3, bracelets are comin out cuteeee and changed the setting to the studs with the bigger pair, send ur guy at 3 also pls call Linda and tell her to wire the 80k, I just spoke to her she needs ur approval,” the text sent to Cardi stated, with the star adding in the caption, “Just spent a bag on my daughter, you know a bad b**ch gonna spoil. If I’m iced out my daughter gotta be too. YEUP IM BRAGGING CAUSE I BUST MY A*S TO DO SOO (sic).”

Cardi tagged New York-based jewellery company Pristine Jewelers in the post, and also uploaded a snap of Kulture, who she welcomed with her Migos rapper husband Offset last July, wearing one of the diamond bracelets.

However, she has since deleted both images from her Instagram page.

Cardi is no stranger to expensive bling, as the eight-carat teardrop-shaped diamond engagement ring Offset proposed to her with is worth an estimated $500,000 (£395,000).

Speaking about the ring on the red carpet at the 2018 Grammy Awards, the 26-year-old commented to E! News reporters, “It makes me feel good. Even when we’re in an argument… I’m like, ‘Does he really love me?’ He got me a half-million dollar ring, yeah he does.”

Cardi’s shopping spree comes shortly after she announced that she would be dropping new single Press, which she first teased in December, on Friday.

Cardi B has explained she admitted to having liposuction because she wanted to educate her fans on the reality of undergoing the cosmetic procedure.

The Bodak Yellow hitmaker, 26, revealed she had undergone the surgery, which is used to remove unwanted body fat, during a performance at the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis on Sunday night (05May19). During the set, she told fans that she shouldn’t be moving around too much so soon after having the work done.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight’s Katie Krause at the launch of the rapper’s latest Fashion Nova clothing line at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Wednesday, the star confessed she wanted to share her ordeal so young women considering the procedure know what it entails.

“I want to explain to people how hard it is to process. I feel like people look at girls on Instagram and go, ‘Oh, they got their lipo done and it was so easy”,’ the I Like It rapper confessed. “It is just such a long, hard process.”

The star went on to highlight the overwhelming changes that her body is going through post-surgery, and compared them to the changes she saw after giving birth to daughter Kulture, who she shares with 27-year-old husband Offset, last July (18).

“(It’s) almost like the same process as after you give birth to a baby and you see your body change and snapping it back,” she suggested.

Last week, the Please Me star also told reporters from the outlet that she had “just got her boobs redone” to give herself a confidence boost following her daughter’s birth.

Cardi B’s stylist is defending herself amid criticism for dressing the rapper in a fur coat at a recent beauty event.

The Bodak Yellow hitmaker appeared at BeautyCon in New York last weekend sporting a vintage Paco Rabanne coat with a custom Sarah Sokol hat and Casadei shoes – a look that raised a few eyebrows as animal rights activists condemned the star’s fashion choice.

“Fur is never okurrrr @Cardib,” a representative for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) posted on Twitter, referencing the rapper’s catchphrase and sharing an image of a fox, adding: “Who wore it Better?”

Now Kollin Carter, the stylist behind the ensemble, is speaking out, accusing social media users of being hypocritical.

“How can you bash me for putting my client in fur yet I see leather products on your page, and plates of meat? So hypocritical,” he wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday (10April19). “PETA and their supporters are one of the most hateful activist groups out there. I’ve been called a n**ger and gotten death threats because I chose to put my client in fur… ridiculous.”

Cardi also made headlines at the BeautyCon event after arriving over four hours late, citing a booking issue.

Her appearance was delayed following the Bodak Yellow hitmaker’s late-night performance at the grand opening of Kaos Dayclub & Nightclub at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. She took to Instagram after the gathering to gush about the experience and apologise for her poor timekeeping.

“Hey guys! I had such a great time at Beautycon,” Cardi said. “Sorry for me being late, I didn’t realise I was overbooked. It was crazy, from getting to Vegas to over here (New York).”

Rapper Cardi B has landed another fashion campaign with sports apparel brand Reebok.

The Bodak Yellow hitmaker will be the face of the brand’s Aztrek sneaker and will also promote other Reebok products on social media.

Announcing the new partnership on Monday (05Nov18), Reebok president Matthew O’Toole said, “For us, she really is emblematic of what our brand has done well over the years and that is to be bold, provocative and uninhibited.

“If we look at some of the things we’ve done… when we are at our best we are with people who are comfortable living out loud and Cardi fits that.”

Cardi, real name Belcalis Almanzar, follows in the footsteps of JAY-Z, Pharrell, and Queen Latifah – and Reebok bosses are hoping to expand their relationship with the 26 year old.

O’Toole also insists he is thrilled he has been able to add Cardi to the group of women that already represent the brand, including Gal Gadot and Ariana Grande.

“For us, we are trying to bring together a group that’s really representative of our consumer and I feel like we’ve brought a number of amazing women together and they are all contributing to our story,” he adds. “We probably won’t be signing on more women at the same pace because we feel good about where we are.”

Meanwhile, just last month (Oct18), Cardi spoke about her desire to expand into footwear after launching her first clothing collection with online retailer Fashion Nova.

“I definitely want to branch out into shoes. I love shoes. I have a big fetish for shoes,” she told Business of Fashion. “And I want to be able to design what I want for my daughter (three-month-old Kulture) to wear.”

Cardi B: ‘Designer jeans don’t fit my big butt’

Cardi B’s struggles with designer denim has prompted her to create jeans for all body types.

The 26-year-old rapper is one of the most exciting celebrity style icons of the moment and, in recent months, has been dressed by some of the world’s biggest fashion houses including Tom Ford, Alexander Wang and Dolce & Gabbana. Now, Cardi is offering her fashion expertise to fans by launching her first clothing collection with online retailer Fashion Nova, and has ensured that, unlike many designer labels, her range will cater to all shapes and sizes.

“Sometimes, designers don’t have what I’m looking for. Designers don’t make jeans that fit me. I have a big butt, and they seem not to fit me,” she lamented in an interview with Business of Fashion. “The only jeans that fit me would be like Fashion Nova jeans.

“What I don’t like about wearing jeans is when the butt is boxy,” the Bodak Yellow hitmaker continued. “And I don’t like when there is that little space in the butt part, between your back, do you know what I’m talking about? That’s my biggest pet peeve.”

Cardi, real name Belcalis Almanzar, has a tendency to mix high street pieces with big-name brands such as Christian Louboutin and Balenciaga, and is adamant that her Fashion Nova customers will “look like they’re wearing Gucci and Prada.”

And it seems as if this is just the beginning of her design venture, with the Grammy-winner sharing that she has plans to expand into the footwear market in the future.

“I definitely want to branch out into shoes. I love shoes. I have a big fetish for shoes,” she smiled. “And I want to be able to design what I want for my daughter (three-month-old Kulture) to wear.”

Cardi’s Fashion Nova collection goes live at midnight on 15 November (18).
