Hilary Rhoda is to become a first-time mother.

The model, who is perhaps best known for her work with Estee Lauder and appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, took to Instagram on Thursday to announce that she and her sportsman husband Sean Avery are expecting a son.

“It’s a boy,” she wrote alongside a snap of herself cradling her growing baby bump while sitting on a sofa. “@imseanavery and I are having a baby and we’re so excited about this next chapter of life together.”

Accordingly, a number of Hilary’s celebrity pals were quick to send her congratulatory messages, including the likes of Martha Hunt, Brooklyn Decker, Nicky Hilton, Georgia Fowler, and Nina Agdal.

“Congratulations to you guys!!!!! What an amazing news (sic),” Natasha Poly wrote, while Carolyn Murphy added: “Yay mama and papa.”

However, when announcing the news on her Instagram Stories, Hilary added that falling pregnant hadn’t been easy.

“We’re having a baby! The last year has been quite a journey getting to this point, lots of ups & downs… but for those trying to conceive, all I can say is just keep going,” the 32-year-old wrote, along with a red heart emoji. “Trying to conceive is a mindf**k and might have almost ended our marriage once or twice.”

Meanwhile, Sean opened up about his journey with Hilary on his podcast No F**ks Given, revealing she had suffered two miscarriages before they conceived their baby boy.

“The moment we took the noise, science and methods out of it – that’s how you make a baby in tough times,” he said, explaining that it was when he returned home from a five-week trip that the conception happened.

Hilary and former National Hockey League player Sean, 39, married in October 2015.

Adam Sandler has found a silver lining in missing out on an Academy Award nomination.

The comedian received Best Actor buzz for his role in 2019 crime thriller Uncut Gems, but he was not on the shortlist for the category on Monday, when the list of Oscar nominees was released, revealing the race was between Leonardo DiCaprio for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Antonio Banderas for Pain and Glory, Adam Driver for Marriage Story, Joaquin Phoenix for Joker, and Jonathan Pryce for The Two Popes.

However, Sandler took to Twitter to prove to his fans that he had found a positive in the snub.

“Bad news: Sandman gets no love from the Academy. Good news: Sandman can stop wearing suits,” he wrote, before congratulating Kathy Bates, who played the mother of his character Bobby Boucher in 1998 sports comedy The Waterboy, for her Best Supporting Actress nomination.

“Congrats to all my friends who got nominated, especially Mama,” Sandler concluded the tweet, which featured a still of Bates.

The actress, who was nominated for her role in Clint Eastwood’s crime drama Richard Jewell, spotted his message and replied, “I love you my Bobby Boucher!!! You was robbed!! But Mama loves you!!! I learned a new urban slang word for you! You da GOAT (Greatest of All Time)!! Not the one we eat at home, Son.”

Bates joined many film fans on social media expressing their outrage at the 53-year-old’s rejection, including The Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood, who tweeted, “Truly baffled that Sandler wasn’t nominated and that Uncut Gems wasn’t acknowledged at all.”

Sandler had previously joked that he would make a deliberately bad film if he got snubbed at the Oscars, and his Just Go with It co-star Brooklyn Decker registered her interest in supporting the project, with her writing on Instagram: “If I’m not in this movie it will be a crime.”

The 92nd Academy Awards show will take place in Los Angeles on 9 February.

Brooklyn Decker has shared the name of the product she used to combat her chin acne.

The model-turned-actress, who is known for her tumbling blonde locks and flawless complexion, always looks picture-perfect whenever she steps out on the red carpet.

However, Brooklyn used to suffer from blemishes on her chin and jawline, and she has now divulged that she credits MyChelle’s Fruit Enzyme Cleanser with helping to clear her acne up.

“I used to have really bad acne before I had kids, all these zits right here and somebody recommended this to me to help my acne, and it really worked,” the mother-of-two said in a video for Harper’s Bazaar’s Go To Bed With Me series. “It’s really effective at getting the day off… You know how a lot of make-up removers feel like they’re stripping your skin? Because this is oil based, it still feels really soft and nice. My skin feels ready and prepped for all of the magical tinctures I’m going to add to it.”

Brooklyn went on to explain that she uses Beauty Counter’s Cleansing Balm to remove all of her make-up before cleansing and is also a fan of using iS Clinical’s Pro-Heal Serum Advance Plus to “heal” her face.

“What I love about this is it’s great for anti-ageing and fighting acne, which I had a lot of when I was pregnant but I’m using it after because it’s awesome,” the Grace and Frankie star commented of the serum. “And like I said, this is church, it’s all about healing the damage from the week.”

Another secret Brooklyn shared was how she achieves a natural-looking glow by adding a couple of drops of James Read’s H2O Face Tan Drops to Vintner’s Daughter’s Active Botanical Serum and mixes the oils in her hands.

“The first time I tried this I put eight drops into my hands and applied it like a face oil. Woke up with an orange face, don’t recommend that,” she cautioned. “Rub it all together and then just pat it on your face. And I wake up glowy and kinda just a little sun kissed… It’s not tan, it’s not bronze, it’s just a little bit of glowy – but I love it!”

Brooklyn Decker: ‘I lost my curves after having children’

Brooklyn Decker had no problems shedding the pounds after having her children – in fact, she lost so much weight that her curves went too.

The Grace and Frankie star first publicly addressed her changing shape in February (19) clapping back at an Instagram troll who body-shamed her for looking so “gangly”.

“For the umpteenth time- because people love to comment on my body … my children sucked the life out of my body and left behind a bag of bones,” the former model replied to the body-shamer, who subsequently deleted the tweet.

Now, in an interview with Us magazine, the 31-year-old, who shares son Hank, three, and 15-month-old daughter Stevie with her tennis star husband Andy Roddick, harshly compared her post-pregnancy figure to a “long, floppy noodle.”

“I was one of the women who lost a lot of weight after having children. Before I had children, I had boobs and a body, and I was curvy,” she explained. “And then I had children, and after breastfeeding for however many years and doing sleepless nights, I just lost my body, or it became something different.”

In a 2011 interview, the mother-of-two admitted she used to be insecure about having “no shape.”

“People made fun of me and called me a boy,” the former Sports Illustrated cover model recalled to Self magazine. “I remember praying for boobs and a butt.”

However, while it has preoccupied some people online, the former model insists that since becoming a mother she is unbothered by the changes to her figure.

“Some people lose their boobs. Some people get bigger. Who gives a s**t, right?,” she explained to Us Weekly. “You just had a child, and your child’s healthy and that’s all that matters.

“When you have your first, you can really indulge in their every need and every snuggle and every moment and really soak them all up. And when you have two, you don’t have that same luxury. You’re still being a full parent to your first child.”

Brooklyn Decker’s wardrobe app helps women ‘manage’ their clothes

Brooklyn Decker is confident her wardrobe app will help busy women manage their clothes better.

The model-turned-actress has teamed up with former news anchor Whitney Casey on Finery.com, a website and app that was first launched in 2017, with the technology offering a virtual closet management tool.

Speaking about the concept, Brooklyn has explained that she and Whitney are seeking to help women avoid over-spending as well as aid them in interacting with their clothes in new ways.

“It might seem frivolous but when you look at the spend women are putting on clothing, it’s more than their education!” she said during a Build Series interview on Monday (06Aug18) in New York City. “Millennials, in particular, I am one of them, I am an old Millennial, will on average, wear an item of clothing four to five times. When you think about the waste…why is there not something out there to manage our stuff?”

Finery has been designed to help women organise their garments, plan looks, peruse street style inspiration and build the ultimate clothing wishlist. It also allows users to get sale alerts for favourite items and reminders on items recently purchased – and Brooklyn, 31, is surprised that it has taken so long for technology developers to enter the fashion market.

“When you think about all the apps we have to manage our stuff – we have apps to manage our finances, to manage our music, to manage our travel. I can even manage my thermostat and my kids’ baby monitor from another state. But there’s nothing out there to help us manage our stuff,” the Grace and Frankie star shared, adding that Finery is essentially “iTunes or Spotify” for clothing.

Brooklyn, who shares two children with her husband, former tennis player Andy Roddick, added that Finery is newly-patented. And she is enjoying stepping out of Hollywood and working for a groundbreaking technology company.

“As anyone who is innovation knows, it’s not without its challenges, so it’s interesting as we sort of navigate this journey,” she smiled.

New mum Chrissy Teigen has intrigued her Instagram followers by giving her genitals a steam as part of an at-home beauty treatment.

The model and TV personality, who is married to singer John Legend, gave birth to their second child, son Miles last month (May18), and she has been giving fans a candid look into her life post-partum via social media.

On Monday (18Jun18), Chrissy proved she was not afraid to give odd procedures a try, as she experienced vaginal steaming perched on the device with a towel over her legs, while multi-tasking with a warming pad on her neck, and a white moisturising sheet on her face.

“face mask / heat pad / vagina steam,” she captioned the funny snap.

Preempting fans’ questions about the treatments, she continued, “No I don’t know if any of this works but it can’t hurt right?”, before jokingly adding, “vagina dissolves”.

Chrissy has yet to update followers about the success of the beauty routine, but Gwyneth Paltrow famously experimented with the treatment a few years ago for her Goop.com blog, and claimed it balances female hormone levels – although medical experts have not backed up the statement.

The post intrigued her fans and famous friends alike, with fellow new mum Khloe Kardashian commenting, “Living your best life,” while actress Gabrielle Union remarked, “This is why we are friends”.

“GIMME DETAILS NOW,” model-turned-actress Brooklyn Decker demanded, as Jenna Dewan quipped, “You kill me”.

Chrissy hasn’t been shy about detailing the ups and downs of motherhood online, and recently complained about her veiny breasts, while on Sunday (17Jun18), she posed for a picture with her husband as she pumped breast milk en route to a dinner date for Father’s Day.
