Coach has paid homage to the work of Jean-Michel Basquiat in its fall/winter 2020 collection.

Creative director Stuart Vevers unveiled his latest line at the 47th Street Warehouse as part of New York Fashion Week on Tuesday, with the spectacle drawing in the likes of Michael B. Jordan, Megan Thee Stallion, Naomi Osaka, Zoey Deutch, Camila Morrone, Rafferty Law, and Paloma Elsesser.

To open, a series of models showed off Coach staples, such as leather skirts, trench coats, and layered, oversized outerwear. However, partway through the presentation, Vevers surprised guests by introducing sweaters and coats emblazoned with the graffiti-inspired artwork of Basquiat, who died of a drug overdose at the age of 27 in 1988.

Basquiat’s sisters Lisane and Jeanine were in the audience, while his niece Jessica Kelly walked in the spectacle.

“We have always been fans of Coach. It’s such an iconic New York brand with really beautiful craftsmanship. To see this collection come together has been truly exciting. Coach has done a great job in capturing the texture, detail and energy of Jean-Michel’s work,” said Lisane. “We are really impressed with Stuart’s vision and attention to the spirit of the work.”

Other highlights included a patchwork-look faux fur coat, ’90s-inspired leather jackets with black buttons, and striped ensembles with a grunge vibe. Model Kaia Gerber stood out in a pink sweater, beige skirt, and long blue leather jacket.

And at the end of the show, Vevers unveiled another surprise – he invited Debbie Harry to take to the stage and perform Blondie songs alongside punk rock/garage band The Coathangers.

Camila Morrone is a huge Justin Bieber fan and once tried to appear in one of his movies.

In an interview with W magazine, the model/actress revealed that she used to accompany her famous parents – model Maximo Morrone and actress Lucila Sola – to auditions and would obsess over the Sorry hitmaker while waiting for them.

“I’d go to every audition with them and sit in the waiting room. I would pass time looking at Justin Bieber on my phone. I was a big Belieber,” she said. “I sent in audition tapes to be in his movies. I recorded myself singing One Less Lonely Girl so I could be one of the fans in his documentary. I dropped off my DVD at the post office, and I never heard back.”

While Camila didn’t land a part in Bieber’s documentary, Never Say Never, she did land a role at the age of 15 in James Franco’s unreleased film Bukowski, and confessed she was so nervous that she passed out on set.

“I had to make out with a 13-year-old kid. I think it was his first kiss. I was 15. I became so nervous on set that I actually fainted when James Franco came to direct me,” the 22-year-old, who is currently dating Leonardo DiCaprio, recalled.

And far from wanting to be known as just the Titanic actor’s girlfriend, the star insisted she wants to be an actress in her own right.

“If I can have a career based on playing roles that are a challenge and tell an important story, and for no alternative reason, then I have succeeded,” she stated.

Kate Moss and Yara Shahidi have been tapped to star in Coach’s 2019 holiday campaign.

Photographed by Juergen Teller, the imagery was released on Monday, with one snap showing the British supermodel posing in a dark red dress with a black leather belt as she rests on a fallen Christmas tree.

Moss is also clutching a new version of the Kat Saddle Bag from the brand’s new Horse and Carriage collection, which reimagines Coach’s iconic motif as a colourful pattern on bags and ready-to-wear.

While Black-ish actress Shahidi is seen standing in the snow next to a box of festive decorations and wearing a hoodie with the company’s dinosaur mascot, Rexy, as well as light brown trousers and a printed jacket with suede panels.

Other names to feature in the print images include rapper Megan Thee Stallion, model Fernanda Ly, and actor Miles Heizer.

The group also appears in an accompanying video directed by Bunny Kinney titled Wonder For All, with Shahidi’s family making a cameo, alongside the likes of the Newark Boys choir, Spike and Tonya Lee, model/actress Camila Morrone, Bob the Drag Queen, the winner of season eight of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and writer, actor, and producer Ben Sinclair.

“The campaign follows the band of revellers as they gather at an impromptu party at a New York brownstone. Capturing the magical mood of the season, it champions the belief of coming together for the holidays and the inclusive, authentic spirit of New York,” a Coach representative explained. “It sees the cast in joyful, unfiltered scenes that highlight the house’s spirit of playfulness and the authentic self-expression that defines New York City.”

Camila Morrone has unveiled her new collaboration with luxury brand Naked Cashmere.

The 22-year-old model has created essential travelling pieces for the Naked Cashmere x Camila Morrone capsule collection, including long duster cardigans, jogger sets, and bralettes.

Morrone, who is currently dating Leonardo DiCaprio, has also designed a special travel set – featuring a blanket, eye mask and a pair of socks – which the model herself travels with.

The line will be launched alongside Naked Cashmere’s upcoming fall collection, with prices ranging from $85 (£70) to $595 (£491).

The Mickey and the Bear actress struck up a friendship with the brand’s co-founders Bruce and Leslie Gifford back in 2014, when she first began her modelling career, and the trio discussed the collection while keeping in touch.

“This being my first collaboration, I wanted to do something that felt organic and close to me,” Morrone said in a statement. “From the first time I worked with the brand and the family behind it, I dreamt of creating a line that was everything I ever looked for in cashmere. Something I could travel in, something I could feel sexy in, something I could be comfortable in.”

Photographer Zoey Grossman shot the sultry campaign images, which feature the model posing in pieces such as the cashmere bralette and joggers as well as a long-sleeved sweater on the beach.

This isn’t the first time that Naked Cashmere has collaborated with a famous face on a collection. Back in 2016, Italian fashion stylist Erica Pelosini, who has worked with Olivia Palermo and Jessica Chastain, created her own dual-gender capsule line.

Irina Shayk and Amber Valletta have commended H&M for committing to making sustainable lines.

The supermodels both attended the launch of the Swedish high street retailer’s Conscious Exclusive collection for spring 2019 in Los Angeles this week (begs25Mar19), with the range set to drop online and in selected stores around the world on 11 April.

Featuring pieces like floaty dresses and cute two-piece ensembles, all of the items are made from eco-friendly materials, such as recycled polyester and organic cotton, with Russian beauty Irina, 33, commenting that she is proud to be associated with a brand that was looking to make strides into sustainability.

“For me, as a fashion model, it’s really important to see that they care about mother nature,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “We live in the 21st century and the technology is amazing, so you can see all those pieces are still cool and colourful and fashionable… We all know what’s going on in the world – climate change – and look how many tonnes of plastic get dumped in the ocean and how many animals’ lives get hurt by it.”

In addition, the Conscious Exclusive range contains pieces made from Pinatex, a natural leather alternative made from cellulose fibres extracted from pineapple leaves, as well as a plant-based flexible foam using algae biomass, and Orange Fiber, a sustainable silk-like fabric made from citrus juice by-products.

And Amber is hopeful that fast-fashion will become much more sustainable across the board in coming years.

“@hm has some serious goals set – 2020 – All cotton will come from sustainable or recycled sources. 2030 – All H&M products will be sourced from more sustainable or recycled sources. 2040 – Climate positive across their entire value chain. I truly hope that within these goals they will understand that producing less and more slowly will make their goals a reality,” the 45-year-old wrote on her Instagram page of the collection.

Models including Alek Wek, Camila Morrone, and Halima Aden, and actresses Abigail Spencer, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and Dakota Fanning were also at the launch event.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s model girlfriend Camila Morrone has landed a prestigious new campaign – modelling Ramy Brook’s Spring/Summer 2019 range.

The 21-year-old beauty dons a variety of items for the stunning shots, such as a striped halter jumpsuit, an orange crossover top and white trousers and a flirty yellow two-piece number, consisting of a long-sleeved top and matching ruffled miniskirt.

In a statement, Camila said she was thrilled to have worked with both designer Ramy and photographer Sebastian Faena on the shoot.

“Working with Ramy Brook was a pleasure- we had fun throughout the entire shoot,” she smiled. “Shooting with Sebastian, who is a dear friend and fellow Argentinian, makes the on-set experience effortless. This new collection is vibrant and comfortable and easy for everyone to wear.”

Ramy added of his new model muse: “Camila is such a joy to work with. She has a young, fresh energy and wears the clothes beautifully. The pieces in our Spring/Summer collections are colourful and bold- just like Cami. We are thrilled to have her star in our 2019 campaigns, and I can’t wait to see all of the great work we do together.”

The campaign is the latest big land for Camila, who has been dating Hollywood heartthrob Leonardo for the past year. She’s been making regular appearances during New York Fashion Week, and posed happily for photographers at the Coach 1941 Ready-To-Wear show on Tuesday afternoon (12Feb19).

Showcasing her svelte figure, Camila donned a sheer floral dress from the new line, and had earlier thanked the company for the invite to their show with a heartfelt post on social media.
