Megan Mullally has been inundated with offers from designers to dress her for the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards after she struggled to find an outfit.
The Will & Grace actress took to Instagram last week (ends16Dec18) to tell fans she would be hunting for the perfect ensemble online because “designers do not send me dresses”.
As predicted, Megan’s post garnered several responses from designers, including Christian Siriano, who replied on her post: “I would love to dress you!”
Siriano has gained something of a reputation for offering to dress celebrities when other designers refuse to do so.
The 33-year-old famously provided Leslie Jones with the outfit she wore on the red carpet at the Ghostbusters premiere in 2016, after the comedy star complained that several other brands did not want to create an ensemble for her.
Following Christian’s response, The Vampire Diaries actress Candice King applauded him and wrote: “The Siriano Bat Signal has lit up the gram (Instagram) and you answered! Yes! So excited to see this happen.”
Marc Bouwer also offered to step in and help Megan, after Million Dollar Matchmaker star Patti Stanger commented on the actress’ post by writing: “@marcbouwer help a stunning sister out! X.”
He replied: “@pattistanger yes. We have dressed the gorgeous Megan before. Would love to create a beautiful gown just for her. But would love to get paid too. Designers work is often taken of granted (sic). I mean would you borrow a sandwich? Love being paid for what I do. And love making my clients beautiful. Such a win in. Megan call me.”
Megan has yet to reveal who she will be wearing to host the star-studded awards ceremony on 27 January.
