Catherine Zeta-Jones and Carys Douglas have been tapped to star in Fendi’s latest campaign.

The Hollywood actress and her 16-year-old daughter, whom she shares with husband Michael Douglas, appear in a short film and still imagery as part of the latest instalment of #MeAndMyPeekaboo, promoting the launch of the new versions of the popular Peekaboo bag, which was first released by the Italian fashion house in 2008.

In the clip, which is set to Mary J. Blige’s song Family Affair, Catherine and Carys are seen showcasing the Peekaboo handbags while posing together in front of historical buildings in Rome.

“Catherine and Carys, mother and daughter, show their unique yet special family-bond celebrating the renovation of life by blending tradition and innovation and recalling the Fendi dualism and DNA,” a brand rep shared of the campaign. “Keeping their authentic daily rituals, they elegantly dance under the colonnade of Palazzo Altemps, a Roman historical building, and lovingly play among the statues of Palazzo Della Civilte Italiana, the Fendi HQ in Rome, nourishing the dialogue between classic and contemporary where the Fendi Peekaboo bag becomes the real protagonist.”

The duo shows off the regular and extra small versions of the Peekaboo bag in the video, as well as the distinctive Pequin design.

In April 2018, the first instalment of the #MeAndMyPeekaboo campaign was unveiled, with the pictures depicting Fendi creative director Silvia Venturini Fendi and her daughters Delfina Delettrez Fendi and Leonetta Luciano Fendi, while the second set was released that July, with the images starring Kim Kardashian, her six-year-old daughter North West, as well as the reality TV star’s mother Kris Jenner. The campaign also included portraits of actor Ewan McGregor’s daughters, Clara and Esther, as well as South Korea-based sisters Jessica and Krystal Jung.

Taraji P. Henson was originally supposed to wear her Emmy Awards dress to the 2019 Met Gala.

The Empire actress took to the purple carpet at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday wearing a plunging pink Vera Wang dress with a red cape.

However, in an interview with Variety, Henson revealed she had been planning to wear it to the 2019 Met Gala in May, but she had to skip the glitzy event after her friend, director John Singleton, passed away.

“You know this is the dress I was supposed to wear to the Met Gala. John Singleton passed away and I had to go to his funeral. It was the day of the Met. And Vera was so gracious and so beautiful and I love her so much and I promised her, I was like, ‘We will wear this dress,'” she said.

However, the gown had been designed by Wang with the Met Gala’s theme, Camp: Notes on Fashion, in mind, so the ensemble had to undergo some changes to make it more appropriate for the Emmys.

“But we had to un-camp it. It was very campy. The train was three times as long and we had butterflies and embellishments on the train. We had to un-camp it,” the 49-year-old smiled.

The designer posted a picture of Henson rocking the look on her Instagram page and wrote in the caption, “To my dear friend Taraji. You float. You glide. You also alwAys keep it cool (sic). You rock! Love you much. Wang Gang family!”

Henson was just one of many celebrities who worked the pink and red trend at the TV awards show. Mandy Moore wore a Brandon Maxwell gown with a pink off-the-shoulder top and long red skirt, her This Is Us co-star Susan Kelechi Watson opted for a red gown with pink sleeves by Badgley Mischka, Marisa Tomei sported a pink and red dress by Ralph & Russo, and Catherine Zeta-Jones donned a hot pink Georges Hobeika number.

Jennifer Lopez’s project about real-life drug lord Griselda Blanco is now getting the big-screen treatment.

It was announced in August 2016 that the actress/singer would be playing the notorious Colombian drug dealer known as “The Cocaine Godmother” in a TV movie for HBO, but it has now been revealed that the film will be coming to cinemas instead under the title The Godmother, thanks to a collaboration between Lopez and STX Films.

The Out of Sight star is also considering making her directorial debut with the crime drama, but has not been formally attached to the role, sources have told both Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter.

“I’ve been forever fascinated by the story of Griselda Blanco and jumped at the chance to play her on screen,” she said in a statement. “She is all things we look for in storytelling and dynamic characters – notorious, ambitious, conniving, chilling. In a genre dominated by legendary kingpins, I’m eager to shine a spotlight on this anti-hero and excited to partner with STX for the third time so we can bring this compelling, complicated story to life.”

The Godmother follows the ups and downs of Blanco, who outsmarted and outhustled the men around her to rise from an impoverished childhood in Colombia to become one of the world’s biggest drug lords.

The 50-year-old will also serve as a producer alongside Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina, among others, and the screenplay will be written by Terence Winter, who is known for creating Boardwalk Empire, and Deadwood’s Regina Corrado.

The film marks Lopez’s third collaboration with STX Films following 2018’s Second Act and the upcoming Hustlers.

“We love working with Jennifer, Elaine and Benny. They are extraordinary producers and we value their partnership and trust,” said STX Films chairman Adam Fogelson. “This is an epic true crime story that Jennifer is passionate about telling and we can’t wait to begin production on The Godmother with her and her team.”

Lopez will follow in the footsteps of Catherine Zeta-Jones, who portrayed Blanco in the Lifetime movie Cocaine Godmother: The Griselda Blanco Story last year.

Fendi has honoured the late Karl Lagerfeld with its fall/winter 2019-2020 couture show.

The German couturier, who had served as the Italian label’s creative director of fur and women’s ready-to-wear since 1965, died at the age of 85 in February.

Accordingly, menswear and accessories designer Silvia Venturini Fendi took the opportunity to honour the godfather of fashion at the latest high-end presentation, which was held at the Palatine Hill and overlooked the Colosseum in Rome on Thursday night.

Titled The Dawn of Romanity, and with the likes of Susan Sarandon, Zendaya, Jason Momoa and wife Lisa Bonet, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Zoey Deutch, and Kiernan Shipka, in attendance, Fendi told editors at Vogue.com that the range celebrates the relationship between Fendi and the capital city, as well as Lagerfeld’s groundbreaking vision and techniques.

“(His legacy includes) his attitude to break rules and push boundaries,” said Silvia, adding that for Lagerfeld, “Nothing was ever impossible, and that’s what we all tried for.”

To open the presentation, a model walked the runway in a white suit with blouse-like sleeves, a gauzy shirt, and carried a fur-look handbag. A retro theme was immediately apparent in the ensembles that followed, with Silvia opting for a palette of brown, tan, white, and light blue, as well as a mix of textures, such as dresses matched with furry coats. Sam McKnight was in charge of the hair, with each model sporting a round bob wig dyed to match their outfit, with the colours inspired by the pinks, greys, and apricots of Roman marbles.

Highlights of the collection included a dress with striped panels made from black velvet which was modelled by Candice Swanepoel, a black gown with ruffled skirt featuring deep-V neckline, a black dress with geometric panels worn by Liu Wen, as well as a long silky dress with ’60s-style marble print as modelled by Kaia Gerber.

It was a battle of the plunging necklines at the SAG Awards on Sunday night (27Jan19), but Lady Gaga ultimately won with her stunning Dior Haute Couture white gown.

The 32-year-old singer and actress looked incredible in the eye-catching piece as she posed on the silver carpet ahead of the star-studded ceremony in Los Angeles.

And it seems Gaga’s ensemble may have been a last-minute choice, considering the outfit only debuted on the catwalk at the Christian Dior show during Paris Couture Fashion Week last week.

The A Star is Born beauty teamed the dress, which featured a daringly low neckline and a sexy thigh-high split, with a swipe of dark lipstick and matching nails. She completed her outfit by adding a gold and diamond choker, gold earrings and several bracelets, while wearing her platinum blonde hair swept back in a chic updo. White Jimmy Choo heels finished off her stunning look, which saw her top the best-dressed lists despite missing out on the Best Actress gong at the ceremony to Glenn Close for The Wife.

Gaga wasn’t the only star to showcase her cleavage in a sexy plunging outfit for the awards. Margot Robbie looked incredible in her white and gold Chanel number, which highlighted her slender figure in all the right places, Catherine Zeta-Jones opted for a gorgeous navy blue Zuhair Murad gown, with a daringly low neckline and cinched-in waist, while Robin Wright left little to the imagination in her slinky black Oscar de la Renta dress.

Other outstanding looks on the silver carpet included Lupita Nyong’o’s black and silver Vera Wang ensemble, and Sophia Bush’s polka dot Monique Lhuillier dress, which came complete with a matching cape. Amy Adams was as elegant as ever in her black strapless Celine dress, which featured ruffle detailing on the waist to highlight her hourglass figure, while Emily Blunt courted attention in a bubblegum pink Michael Kors custom gown. Emma Stone went against the grain as she shunned a red carpet gown in favour of a gold top and tailored black high-waisted trousers, a look she’s perfected in the past, as Black-ish star Yara Shahidi also hit headlines thanks to her sequinned Fendi Couture jumpsuit, which featured a net overlay.
