Kiernan Shipka has been tapped to star in the new campaign for Fendi’s Baguette handbags.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actress appears in the latest instalment of the Italian label’s #BaguetteFriendsForever series alongside her filmmaker pal Christian Coppola.

Showcasing the new Baguette designs in the video advertisement, Kiernan, 20, is seen daydreaming in a hotel room while surrounded by the purses, before hearing a loud honk outside of her window. Waiting for her on a scooter is Christian, ready to head to the top tourist sites in the city.

“Together they explore Rome eating gelato in the typical narrow lanes of the city, tossing a coin in the iconic Trevi Fountain and make a wish, all the way up to Palazzo Della Civilta Italiana, Fendi’s headquarters, where they play along its arches and statues,” a Fendi representative shared. “The Baguette strings along with the two best friends while discovering the city with its different versions, from the FF embossed large and mini Baguette in pink and blue pastel shades to the newly added Men’s one in brown leather with a surprising touch of the Nano Baguette worn as a belt.”

A series of still images show Kiernan and Christian posing together on a scooter and in front of the Trevi Fountain.

The iconic Baguette bag was first launched by designers at the fashion house in 1997.

Fendi reissued the Baguette at the spring/summer 2019 Milan Fashion Week show to much fanfare, with the #BaguetteFriendsForever campaign featuring Sarah Jessica Parker, influencer Caroline Daur, and model Ebonee Davis, rolling out a short time later. Amanda Seyfried and Emma Roberts also fronted a Baguette campaign, filmed inside the Fendi flagship store on New York’s Madison Avenue, which was released in June.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Kiernan Shipka prefers casual shoes over pricey designer footwear.

The actress has no desire to wear uncomfortable, heavy heels, preferring comfort over the latest high-end fashions.

“I don’t wear the Balenciagas – they literally feel like ankle weights, and are a little too big for functioning,” she tells InStyle, admitting she would rather put her funds towards something other than expensive shoes.

“They’re also a very expensive shoe, and I think I’d spend money on something else,” she shares. “But, honestly, I’m all about a sneaker, or a big shoe, or a silly looking shoe. Bring it on!”

Her role on the hit Netflix series allows her to show off dark retro looks and she notes the latest episodes of the series showcase even edgier looks for her magical titular character.

“The fashion definitely gets edgier and darker, and I think that’s something that people are going to dig,” she adds.

One aspect of Sabrina’s style that isn’t changing is her signature black headband.

“It’s not going anywhere,” she jokes. “I think it’s glued down to her head. There are a couple of scenes where it’s not on – but just a couple.”

Off screen, Shipka’s style preferences have earned her praise from celebrity stylist Ashley Streicher, who likes the blonde beauty’s forward-thinking looks.

“She actually has a very fashion-forward mindset,” the style guru tells The Hollywood Reporter. “I take cues from her. She’s one of my only clients that tells me what to do. I feel like she always has a really good direction.”

Kiernan Shipka was a fashion force to be reckoned with at the Kids’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday (23Mar19), rocking up in a bow-tiful Miu Miu dress.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actress looked stunning in her cute but elegant dress from the label’s Pre-Fall 2019 line, which featured an embellished top with a cutout on the torso, a black bow on the waist and an ivory pleated skirt.

Kiernan completed her look with black accessories and stud earrings, and wore her blonde hair in a high bun. Inside the awards ceremony, held at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, the 19-year-old star posed with fellow stars including To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before actress Lana Condor, who looked stylish in a ruched white crop top and high-waisted red trousers.

Kiernan also shared a snap on her Instagram page alongside Bebe Rexha, as well as a shot which showed that her gorgeous dress had narrowly avoided being slimed during the awards ceremony – with a tiny bit of the green goop landing on her arm.

Elsewhere, The Kissing Booth star Joey King looked picture perfect as she posed for photographers ahead of the awards, wearing a Jacquemus ensemble consisting of a knit shirt and leather harness teamed with wide-leg leather cargo pants and a mini handbag.

And Janelle Monae also dressed to impress, wowing in a checked tuxedo jacket from the Petar Petrov spring ’19 runway collection which she wore as a dress. Finishing off her look, the Hidden Figures actress added a pair of Christian Louboutin ankle boots and a black hat, with yellow earrings complimenting the yellow accents in her boots.

Jennifer Hudson and Ally Brooke were two of the other stars who pulled out all the stops with their ensembles at the ceremony.

Kiernan Shipka suffered from “angry skin” while shooting the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

The actress, known for her performance as Sally Draper on AMC series Mad Men, has successfully made the transition from child star to leading lady by landing the part of Sabrina Spellman in Netflix’s new series, which is based on the comic book series of the same name.

While Kiernan was thrilled to play the half-witch teenager in the show, she has now shared that she had a terrible time with her skin when filming the episodes in Vancouver, British Columbia earlier in the year (18).

“I was having a lot of skin troubles when I moved up to Vancouver because A) I found out I was allergic to the cat on the show, so there were a lot of hive breakouts happening, and B) just adjusting to the new pollens,” she told Byrdie.com. “Plus, I think lack of sleep and the physical and mental stress of taking on this giant job made my skin angry.”

The skin flare-ups caused Kiernan to reassess her skincare regime and try out new products. Accordingly, her daily routine now incorporates a variety of different formulas from Marie Veronique, Beautycounter and Tata Harper.

“I landed on a brand called Marie Veronique, and I swear my skin has never been clearer. I think they make it here in L.A., and it’s freaking amazing. Their cleanser, their face oil, and their retinol serum are so good. I also love me some face masks,” the 18-year-old noted.

Apart from skincare, Kiernan stays grounded by taking yoga or SoulCycle classes. She also shops up a storm at local farmers’ markets too.

“(I eat) a lot of root vegetables and warm foods during the fall and winter. We could get into the sort of Ayurvedic aspect of it-like grounding foods. Top-favourite vegetable is cauliflower, for sure. And have you ever done roasted celery? It’ll change how you look at celery,” she smiled.
