Christina Ricci and Dianna Agron have been tapped to star in a campaign for footwear brand Roger Vivier.

The Sleepy Hollow actress and Glee star appear in the short film, titled “Abracashoes”, by the luxury French brand’s creative director Gherardo Felloni, who also makes a cameo in the clip.

In the footage, Ricci plays a magician and shoe thief, who is performing in a theatre. She chooses Agron’s character, who is wearing a pair of black Belle Vivier pumps, from the audience to be her volunteer and she lies down in a box.

Ricci’s illusionist performs a trick in which she saws Agron in half, but then steals the shoes from her feet while she’s stuck in the box and runs away. The clip ends with Agron yelling, “She stole my shoes”, and Fellini, as an audience member, laughing hysterically. Ricci is seen putting the shoes in an empty compartment of her magician’s box, revealing that she has been collecting different versions of the Belle Vivier. She stores the pumps away as she whispers, “Abracashoes”.

Explaining why he chose his campaign stars, Felloni described Ricci as “one of my dream actresses who I really admire” and Agron as “a talented young actress… Her beauty and sex appeal seduced me at first sight.”

Felloni creative directed the film, which was helmed by Nicolangelo Gelormini and styled by Elisa Nadin. It was shot over two days at Milan’s Teatro Gerolamo in December.

Abracashoes is the third film Felloni has made since joining the brand in 2018 – the first one starred French cinema icon Catherine Deneuve and the second featured Thelma & Louise actress Susan Sarandon.

Charlize Theron was criticised by a movie financier after she gained weight to play serial killer Aileen Wuornos in Monster.

The 44-year-old underwent a dramatic physical transformation for the 2003 drama, and in a new interview, she revealed that she was sent into a panic when she got a phone call at 3am from a disgruntled financier.

“As soon as I started gaining weight, I had one of the financiers call me up. Actually, his wife saw me, and she was like, ‘Did you see Charlize? Have you seen what she looks like?’ And I got that call, like, ‘What’s going on with that?'” she told The Hollywood Reporter during a producers roundtable discussion.

“He was like, ‘What are you doing? You never smiled. You look so angry, you look horrible,'” Charlize, who also served as producer on the film, recalled. “So, you panic a little bit because you are putting yourself out there, and you are taking a risk, and when you do that, you are not a hundred per cent sure. You are taking a chance.”

The actress also opened up about the fights she and director Patty Jenkins had with the financiers, who thought they were “basically paying for a hot lesbian movie with me and Christina Ricci”.

“And initially when we went in to get our financing, it became very clear to me that there was this need for me to step in. And knowing what Patty wanted to do with it, I knew that we were going to come up against things. There were a lot of fights,” she explained.

Despite the criticism, Charlize scooped a haul of honours her role as serial killer Aileen, including a Golden Globe, Independent Spirit Award, a Critics’ Choice Award, and an Academy Award.

Christian Siriano managed to find time to make Meghan Trainor’s Grammys outfit while finalising his New York Fashion Week show plans.

The designer is a favourite among the A-list, and normally dresses multiple stars for red carpet events. However, two of the biggest dates in the showbiz calendar, the Grammys and BAFTAs, both held on Sunday (10Feb19), clashed with his Fashion Week show, which took place on Saturday.

Siriano was undeterred though, and as well as presenting a glamorous and futuristic fall/ winter 19 line, he also created a daringly low-cut white jumpsuit for Meghan to wear to the music awards.

“The amazing #meghantrainor in a custom Siriano crystal jumpsuit tonight at the #Grammys! #chic Yes even during #fashionweek we made this!” Siriano captioned a snap of Meghan on Instagram.

Former model and activewear designer Tatiana Korsakova also opted for Siriano in London, donning a pink and white floor length gown, reminiscent of old Hollywood, to the BAFTAs.

The former Project Runway champion’s New York Fashion Week show was just as starry an affair, with Debra Messing, Christina Hendricks, Danielle Brooks, Christina Ricci and Tess Holliday all occupying seats on the front row.

As for the runway itself, Ashley Graham stole the show in a mesh gown covered in crystals with a matching silver cap, while Chanel Iman also wowed in a purple frothy design, typical of the fashion house.

And during the show, held at the Top of the Rock observation deck at Rockefeller Plaza, Siriano unveiled a new app which allowed the audience to vote on the looks they liked the most.

Christina Ricci managed to hide her love for John Cusack while the pair filmed their latest movie.

The Hollywood stars both have roles in Rob W. King’s Distorted, which is a mystery thriller about a woman who moves into a technologically advanced ‘smart apartment,’ but is unknowingly being brainwashed by the property itself. And though she is a huge fan of one of John’s most famous movies, Say Anything, Christina vowed to be professional on set.

“No (I didn’t tell him I was a fan),” the 38-year-old insisted. “When I was doing the second Addams Family, Joan (Cusack, John’s sister) took me to meet him. He had an office on the Paramount lot, while we were shooting, so I felt like he knew already. I just tried to be cool and respectful, and a good scene partner.”

Christina’s mind was focused on her particularly challenging lead role as Lauren, who is managing her bipolar disorder as well as being tormented by the state-of-the-art home.

“I familiarised myself with what version of emotional issue or mental stability we were going to go with for this character,” the Monster star explained. “I think the challenges and the stuff you dread is the emotional breakdown scenes. And then, there was the added element of reacting to memory. There’s a camera in front of you and 30 people, and everyone’s just being really quiet and you’re doing stuff. You have to really throw out any self-consciousness you have, and that element can be really daunting.”

The actress admitted that the dark script was even harder to portray due to her typically good nature.

“The more dark and dramatic the thing that I’m filming, the lighter I am, in general, to balance that out on set. When we shot Monster, all Charlize (Theron) and I did was giggle, the entire time, to balance out how dark the material was,” she recalled.
