Paul Rudd sometimes feels like he’s an “imposter” in the acting industry and not as talented as his co-stars.

The actor made his movie debut in 1995 teen classic Clueless, and throughout his 25-year career, he has starred in films such as Romeo + Juliet, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Role Models, Ant-Man, and the most recent Avengers instalments.

Despite having a long and successful career, Rudd has admitted he still feels like he’s not as good as his colleagues.

“I still have that feeling – ‘I’m an imposter, I’m not as good as the people I’m working with,’ or I feel I just don’t have it,” he confessed to British actor Abubakar Salim as part of the BAFTA Breakthrough mentoring scheme, according to Yahoo!

However, Rudd explained that he feels more comfortable if he has written or produced the project, or if he is working with actors he’s collaborated with before.

“I feel like with that stuff it gets a little easier; if I’ve worked on the script it’s a little easier because I know it more and I’ve worked on it from the ground up so I think maybe I feel a little bit more comfortable,” the 51-year-old continued. “I’ve also been lucky too to work with some of the same people and, if I work with people I’ve worked with more than once and we are all on the same page, those experiences I think I probably feel a little less stressed.”

The Captain America: Civil War star will next be seen in cinemas in Ghostbusters: Afterlife. The feature was originally meant to be released in July but will now come out in March 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Alicia Silverstone has signed on to be the face of Crystal Deodorant.

The Clueless actress, who abides by a vegan lifestyle and is a longtime advocate for animal welfare, has announced that she is teaming with executives at the brand.

“I’ve used Crystal Deodorant for over 20 years because it’s safe, vegan and most importantly it works!” she said. “I am proud to partner with a company that shares my values and is committed to making healthier and kinder products.”

Crystal Deodorant products are made with mineral salts and are available in roll-on and sprays. The formulas are non-toxic, offered in unscented and scented versions, and are contained in eco-friendly packaging.

In light of the partnership, Martin Floreani, chief executive officer and president of Crystal, commented that the star is the perfect fit for the company.

“It makes perfect sense that we would choose Alicia, who has been such a devoted, longtime fan of our products, to represent our brand,” he praised. “There couldn’t be a more authentic partnership, and we are excited to work with her.”

Alicia recently hosted an event sponsored by Crystal at The Gentle Barn, a non-profit animal sanctuary.

The 42-year-old has previously teamed up with mykind Organics on a range of vitamins and stripped off for a People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) campaign in which she called for people to stop buying clothing made from animals, including leather and wool.

Alicia is the latest star to join forces with a deodorant company, with Justin Bieber divulging earlier this year that he was working on a natural formula called Here + Now alongside bosses at U.S. body product brand Schmidt’s.

Alicia Silverstone approves of K-Swiss’ new range of sneakers inspired by her movie, Clueless.

Bosses at the American brand sent fans of the 1995 teen romcom – that also starred Brittany Murphy, Paul Rudd and Stacey Dash – into a frenzy earlier in May when they dropped two pairs of athletic shoes influenced by the movie.

One pair is a white sneaker with a plaid lining and the word “Clueless” on the sole of the shoe, while the second has a yellow plaid upper with a white outsole. Both retail for $80 (£63) and are available for purchase on the K-Swiss website.

And now longtime vegan and animal rights/environmental activist Alicia, who played spoiled fashionista high school student Cher Horowitz, has weighed in with her thoughts on the shoes.

“@KSWISS Cher digs this look but wishes it was #CrueltyFree and made without leather,” she shared on Twitter, alongside a campaign video for the collection shared by K-Swiss.

The brand quickly responded to the 42-year-old star’s critique and revealed that the sneakers were in fact cruelty-free.

“We are thrilled that Cher digs the look! We completely agree with you, the plaid shoe is 100 per cent cruelty-free, and this year we have new materials partners for our first four conscious, recycled, cruelty-free shoes. Every company MUST make this transition, and it’s our top priority,” they wrote.

Alicia, who is raising her eight-year-old son Bear Blu as a vegan, previously credited the plant-based diet with keeping her looking younger and healthier.

“It’s no accident that everyone says to me all the time that I still look like I did in Clueless. I see the difference if I eat a certain way for a day, so I choose to make more than one meal be that great meal,” she commented.

The producer of the upcoming Clueless reboot has stressed the film will be a new take, not a remake.

Deadline reported on Thursday (25Oct18) that the ’90s hit was to be revived courtesy of Girls Trip writer Tracy Oliver, who has signed on to produce, with GLOW writer Marquita Robinson penning the script.

The original Clueless was released in 1995 and starred Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, Paul Rudd and the late Brittany Murphy. Written and directed by Amy Heckerling, the movie, which was loosely based on Jane Austen’s Emma, went on to become a beloved cult classic thanks to the preppy fashion choices and catchy phrases and vocabulary of the characters. It also spawned a TV series.

As the reboot is still in early development, no details of story or casting have yet been revealed, however, Oliver has taken to Twitter to emphasise that this will be a fresh project rather than a carbon copy of the original.

“Crazy excited to be producing a *new* take on one of my favorite movies of all time, #Clueless, with the hilarious and super talented @MarqRobinson writing it!!!,” she wrote. “As. If.”

Robinson, who has also previously written episodes of Zooey Deschanel’s New Girl, jokingly replied to her colleague, writing: “Omg can you believe these idiots are remaking Clueless, @TracyYOliver?”

News of the reboot drew mixed responses from fans of the chick flick on social media, with many insisting that it was unnecessary to revive the feature and feared that a new version could ruin the original’s legacy.

And when one user asked Oliver whether she was incapable of making anything original, she simply responded: “Like… Girls Trip?”

Neither Heckerling nor any of the Clueless cast have commented on the news.

Alicia Silverstone will sleep with her make-up on after photoshoots as she likes the way it looks the next day.

The Clueless actress has long credited her flawless complexion and glossy hair to abiding by a vegan diet and using products with natural ingredients.

While Alicia only needs to wear the bare minimum of cosmetics when she steps out, she has now divulged that she’s a bit of a beauty rulebreaker and will sleep with her make-up on sometimes.

“Most days I don’t wear any make-up,” she told Into The Gloss. “If my make-up’s great after a photoshoot or whatever, then I will literally sleep in my make-up so that it looks good the next day. I know that’s terrible, but I don’t care. When I do wear make-up, I like it to look really natural.”

For everyday make-up, Alicia will dab on a little concealer from the Ecco Bella and Zuzu brands. She will use a little powder, blush or eyeshadow too, but prefers to highlight her eyes.

“I’m not a make-up artist at all, so I only know how to do one thing and that’s what I do. I like this Maison Jacynthe eye pencil in either brown or black. I try to draw it as close to the lash as possible and then smudge it with a little brush. Or I’ll use eyeliner from W3II People – I like them,” the 41-year-old commented.

During the chat, Alicia also divulged that she used to suffer from cystic acne, and once even had to re-shoot an entire scene in a project because of her blemishes.

And even though she is still “terrible” at taking care of her skin, the star is adamant that she doesn’t have to rely on too many products because her healthy diet takes care of the rest.

“It’s the food that saves me. I can wear no make-up, and be really, really tired, but if I’ve been eating clean then my skin is glowing, my eyes are white, and I feel great,” she smiled. “But, I still do use cleanser! Right now I’m using this bar of soap – the Sibu Sea Therapy and Body Bar. It smells good, and I like that it bubbles a little.”

Alicia Silverstone credits vegan diet for youthful look

Actress Alicia Silverstone’s years of vegan eating has helped her achieve a youthful glow at 41.

The Clueless star has maintained her strict diet throughout her career and has promoted her lifestyle and eco-friendly living on her blog The Kind Life.

Silverstone notes her eating habits have left her looking much like she did when she filmed the teen classic in 1995.

“Do I think I really know what works? Yeah,” she tells Redbook magazine. “It’s no accident that everyone says to me all the time that I still look like I did in Clueless. I see the difference if I eat a certain way for a day, so I choose to make more than one meal be that great meal.”

The San Fransisco native first revealed the effect her food choices had on her appearance in her 2011 book The Kind Diet in 2011.

“After only two weeks of being vegan, people were beginning to ask, ‘What is going on with you? You look amazing!’,” she wrote. “All I’d given up was meat and dairy, and yet I began to look better in just two weeks!”

Despite the benefits, she is in no rush to push her eating habits on her seven-year-old son Bear.

“I’m really open to Bear being a little bit flexible out in the world,’ she says. “When he is with other kids who are eating regular pizza – if there’s no vegan pizza, I want him to have the pizza. I know other vegans might not agree with that or think it’s acceptable, but I don’t care.”

Silverstone also rarely passes judgment on others’ health choices, even if they don’t align with hers.

“I really think everyone has to be given the respect to do what they choose to do,” she tells the publication.

Alicia Silverstone was left feeling exhausted on the set of Clueless because of all the costume changes.

The cult film helped launch the careers of Alicia, the late Brittany Murphy, and Paul Rudd, and told the story of rich, fashion-obsessed teen Cher Horowitz.

The bold fashion choices are synonymous with the 1995 feature, with the yellow plaid skirt suit worn by Cher one of the standout fashion moments. While fans lapped up the clothes, Alicia herself wasn’t so keen.

“I remember being so exhausted with the costume fittings because I just, I wore, I didn’t have any fashion sense at all at that age, and it only took, I mean, it took recently that I became interested in clothes,” she recalled to ABC. “At the time, jeans and a green T-shirt, I was good all week long. So, when I had to try 63 things on, I was just like, ‘This is painful.'”

But for head costume designer Mona May, the film was a dream come true.

As well as the plaid suit, which Stacey Dash’s character Dionne also wore in a black and white version, Cher also helped to popularise berets, tailored shirts and jackets, and chic layering.

“When Amy (Heckerling, writer and director) gave me the script, it just blew my mind. How fascinating these characters were and it was all about setting trends and making something new,” Mona smiled.

“The clothes were, they were their own star. They were the main character of the movie and (Mona) did such a beautiful job,” Alicia added.

Donatella Versace’s latest collection is aimed at all women.

The Versace head showed off her latest designs at Milan Fashion Week on Friday (23Feb18), with the runway full of bold colours and prints, as well as the fashion house’s signature gold chain detailing.

Talking about the fall 18 line, Donatella told Vogue in a video: “(It’s) a continuation of last year. What (it) represents is the family of Versace. They are different characters. There is a punkish one, there is a more sophisticated one, the mystery woman, and the young, young school girl with sneakers.

“There is not one for this collection, it’s a lot of woman coming together and be courageous and be strong (sic).”

To show off the bold designs, Donatella hired an army of strong models to walk for her. Gigi Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Anja Rubik, Edie Campbell, Binx Walton and Natalia Vodianova were among those strutting their stuff.

Among the collection were pieces that seemed to be a nod to ’90s icon Cher Horowitz, from cult teen movie Clueless. Her iconic yellow chequered skirt suit was re-imagined for the millennial market, with Donatella creating multiple skirt suits, sweaters, jackets and trousers in purple, yellow, green and blue chequered and plaid prints.

During the behind-the-scenes shoot for Vogue, some of the models summed up what they loved about Versace in one sentence.

“She’s not afraid to take chances,” Anja smiled, while Teddy Quinlivan added: “Strength, empowerment, femininity.”
