Justine Skye has partnered with the team at H&M on a festival collection.

With major music events like Coachella on the horizon, the singer-songwriter has unveiled the Justine Skye x H&M capsule range in collaboration with designers at the Swedish label.

The line features bodycon pieces, oversized silhouettes, and a mix of sporty items in soft neon yellow organza and silver metallic.

“With this festival collection, we wanted something that was new and fresh to the festival scene. Usually festival is very boho so we thought the pieces should represent something different,” said Justine. “I’m a big advocate for being comfortable no matter what – that’s how I feel empowered through my look. When you go to a festival, you’re always moving around so I created pieces that were comfortable but still extremely cute and all goes together.”

In addition, the collection also includes biker shorts, crop tops, shorts with panelled details, a cropped metallic shirt, and a nylon windbreaker. When it comes to accessories, Justine has made sure to include her takes on festival essentials such as bucket hats and bandanas.

For the accompanying campaign, the 24-year-old was photographed by Tyler Mitchell, with Ade Samuel in charge of styling.

“It’s been such a fun and creative process working together with Justine Skye for this H&M Festival collection,” added Emily Bjorkeheim, H&M’s Head of Design for Divided. “We wanted to create modern festival pieces with a bit of edge that were easy to mix and match, and with a fun blend of sporty and feminine silhouettes. Adding the soft neon yellow and silver metallic created that eye-popping freshness we were after and now we can’t wait for the festival season to start.”

The Justine Skye x H&M collection will be available in selected stores and online from 12 March.

Kanye West attempting to trademark Sunday Service merchandise

Kanye West has filed an application to trademark merchandise that was inspired by his Sunday Service set at the Coachella festival.

The rapper and designer staged his uplifting weekly gospel session on a hillside on Easter Sunday for festivalgoers in California back in April, alongside a choir and numerous dancers, who were all dressed in merchandise.

The Stronger hitmaker sold religious merchandise from the special Sunday Service, including $50 (£40) socks that read “Jesus Walks”, and faded, tie-dye sweaters emblazoned with the words “Holy Spirit” and “Sunday Service the Mountain” that ranged from $165 (£132) to $225 (£180).

The 42-year-old recently filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to trademark the phrase Sunday Service. The application was made by Mascotte Holdings, Inc., the same firm that previously filed trademarks for Yandhi, Yeezus, Yeezy, Calabasas Clothing and Kanye West on the Grammy winner’s behalf.

If his request is granted, Kanye will be the only person allowed to sell clothing, including dresses, footwear, jackets, loungewear, scarves, shirts, socks and tops, under the phrase.

The Sunday Service, which he hosts with various members of his wife Kim Kardashian’s extended family, are weekly events and feature an exclusive guest list of famous faces. Kim also streams the service live on her Instagram Stories, or shares clips from the event, which now includes her and Kanye’s six-year-old daughter North performing in the choir.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six column, the Gold Digger hitmaker also filed an application to use the phrase “Half Beast” for a rumoured TV or online entertainment venture that may include toys.

Slick Woods is convinced she was visited by a ghost when she stayed in a hotel room Marilyn Monroe once slept in.

The model has become synonymous with her shaved head and gap-toothed look, which has been tapped by the likes of Rihanna’s Fenty brands, Marc Jacobs and Moschino for various campaigns and catwalk appearances.

However, in a chat with W magazine, Slick admits she totally lost her cool credentials last April during her first Coachella visit.

“I stayed in Marilyn Monroe’s old suite and it was super haunted. I’ve never believed in ghosts until then,” she said of her time at the 2018 festival.

“Like, the shades just opened. And when I was sleeping, the lights turned on. I’m thinking it might be the automatic ones, but then it goes, ‘Whoosh.’ This is like 4 a.m. So I called my agent like, ‘Yo, it’s crazy in here, you have to come over.’ And he’s like, ‘Baby, you’re fine.’ I started crying and all of this. And before he even gets to the suite, the bathroom light turns on and the mirror swings open. I’m like, ‘Is this b**ch fixing her lipstick? B**ch, I’m asleep! If you want to fight, we can fight, but I’m sleepy!’ It was crazy.”

The haunting didn’t put her off the Californian festival though, and she was regular fixture at the 2019 event after joining the UGG Open Road road trip, alongside actors Tommy Dorfman and Patrick Schwarzenegger, and new Victoria’s Secret Angel Leomie Anderson.

Kim Kardashian had a pair of sunglasses from her debut collection made in a smaller size for her daughter North West so the youngster wouldn’t steal hers.

Last month (Apr19), the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star announced she had teamed up with eyewear brand Carolina Lemke on an initial collection of seven styles.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Kim shared a sweet snap of her daughter in a pair of glasses and revealed she designed some shades specifically for the five-year-old.

“I made her these kid size @carolinalemkeberlin sunglasses because I really wouldn’t share mine lol,” the 38-year-old quipped. “I love my fashionista Northie so much!”

The designer, who also founded the successful KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance lines, went on to share the extent of North’s love of fashion, admitting that she’ll often find her trying on her clothes.

“I didn’t think my daughters love for my clothes and jewellery would happen so soon,” the reality star confessed. “I’ll literally be working and come home to find North dressed up in all of my things.”

Last month, Heat magazine reported the youngster was set to follow in the footsteps of her father and Yeezy founder Kanye West, 41, with the release of her debut clothing line.

North looks set to curate the collection, which sources claim will be titled Sunday Best, and is said to have enlisted her six-year-old cousin Penelope Disick to offer a helping hand.

The collection will reportedly be inspired by Kanye’s Los Angeles-based church services, dubbed Sunday Service, which he took to Coachella last month.

Moschino is set to take over the Universal Studios Hollywood backlot in Los Angeles for its annual cruise 2020 presentation.

The fashion label, spearheaded by creative director Jeremy Scott, will showcase its cruise 2020 line-up alongside its men’s spring 2020 collection at the show, which is slated to take place on 7 June.

The iconic location is a landmark in the U.S. movie industry, and follows the Italian brand’s impressive presentation held at Rome’s legendary Cinecitta Studios in January, where it previewed its men’s fall 2019 and its women’s pre-fall 2019 collections.

The show bore a similarly cinematic theme, and paid tribute to celebrated Italian director and screenwriter Federico Fellini, whose popular credits include La Dolce Vita and La Strada.

Under Scott’s creative direction, the Moschino brand is renowned for its celebrations of pop culture, with previous references within the line including Barbie, Looney Tunes and SpongeBob SquarePants.

News of Moschino’s return to Los Angeles comes shortly after the brand launched its recent The Sims inspired capsule collection at Coachella last month.

Speaking of the collaboration, the designer gushed over his love of fantasy and shared that he likes to create storylines and characters within his fashion lines.

“I love the idea of being able to imagine, design and bring to life a world of individual personas with The Sims universe,” he said in a statement. “That concept emulates what I get to do for each collection at Moschino as I create a fantasy universe of spectacular storylines and characters.”

Amandla Stenberg chooses clothes according to how they make her feel, not how beautiful they make her look.

The Hate U Give actress has become one of the hottest names in Hollywood thanks to both her acting work and edgy style, which she says some people have tried to tame over the years.

“I’ve had some adverse experiences with styling, where I wanted to do something that was a little edgier and people have wanted to feminise me or make me be presented in a more traditional way,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “And I really don’t necessarily like looking at clothes from the angle of ‘How can I look the most beautiful or the most desirable?’ I just want to feel like myself, as does everyone.”

To help hone her look Amandla works with super stylist Karla Welch, whose other famous clients include Justin Bieber, Tracee Ellis Ross and Sarah Paulson.

Praising Karla’s approach to styling, Amandla gushed that the fashion expert has pushed her out of her comfort zone and got her to experiment with new red carpet looks.

“What I love so much about Karla is she gets that and not only does she get it, but she runs with it and actually pushes me out of what I anticipated for myself. She has shown me that there is a way to experiment with gender in your clothing, while still presenting in a femme way,” she grinned.

Amandla wowed at the Levi’s pool party at Coachella over the weekend in a denim corset matched with baggy flared jeans and cute red sunglasses.

Ariana Grande has joined forces with NASA for a limited run of branded apparel.

The eight-piece collection includes a range of T-shirts, sweatshirts and even a pair of glasses, and was made available at the One Last Time songstress’ booth on the Coachella grounds over the festival’s first weekend (12-14Apr19).

The collaboration, which was inspired by the 25-year-old’s song NASA from her most recent album Thank U, Next, features the space agency’s iconic logo, while the shirts include lyrics from the song, including the lines “I’ma need space” and “One giant leap for womankind”.

The capsule collection has also been made available online for a limited time and is priced between $40 (£31) and $75 (£57).

Ariana became the youngest-ever headliner of the festival when she performed on Sunday, and Coachella marked the occasion with a 7 Rings art installation in homage to the star’s hit song.

The structure comprised seven oversized, neon pink rings, complete with diamond-shaped pieces on the top, which formed a series of arches that led to the songstress’ merchandise stand.

Earlier this month, it was reported that the musical powerhouse also has plans to expand her empire with an upcoming beauty line.

In a recent trademark filing, the star stated her intention to sell sweet-smelling items including male and female fragrances, body lotions, bath gels, shower gels, body scrubs, body powders, body souffles, and body mists – all under the name Ariana Grande Thank U, Next.

Ariana already has five perfumes to her name and released her most recent scent, Cloud, back in September (18).

Miguel has sparked controversy after the star wore a T-shirt suggesting that U.S. President Donald Trump should have been killed instead of Nipsey Hussle.

The Adorn hitmaker debuted the statement shirt in a clip posted to his Instagram page, which showed him wearing the plain white T-shirt which bore the words “How Nipsey before Trump?”.

He teamed the top with black pants and accessorised the look with a pair of white-framed sunglasses and a simple gold chain around his neck.

The R&B star since removed the post, but The Blast reported that Miguel, full name Miguel Pimentel, was also seen wearing the outfit at Coachella over the weekend (13-14Apr19)

Miguel has spoken candidly in the past about his distaste for President Trump, and has slammed his treatment of Mexico and his decision to build a border wall to keep immigrants away from the United States.

Nipsey Hussle, 33, was shot and killed on 31 March near his clothing store Marathon Clothing Company in Los Angeles, California.

The star was later memorialised at a service at The Staples Center last week with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Barack Obama and Kendrick Lamar all paying tribute.

Following news of the rapper’s passing, Miguel took to Instagram to share his sadness and send his love to the star’s family and friends.

“Heavy. Sending nothing but love and condolences to Nipsey’s family, friends, Lauren, loved ones,” he posted. “Man had a lot of positive things he was working on for his community and overall consciousness not to mention always solid energy when we crossed paths. S**t is wild we’re the same age. Heart breaking.”

Hailey Baldwin is using her married name to develop a new cosmetics line.

The model, who wed Justin Bieber last year (18), has filed paperwork to own the Bieber Beauty name, months after she trademarked ‘Hailey Bieber’ for potential business ventures.

Although Bieber Beauty is the 22 year old’s first foray into the makeup world, she has been the face of campaigns for Bare Minerals, L’Oreal Professionnel and Model Co.

The blonde beauty hinted at her ambitions outside of the modelling world earlier this year (19) when she revealed she had her sights set on starting a fashion brand.

“I have so many ideas, and I’m really into trends and am pretty in tune with what people my age are wearing and like to wear,” she told Elle. “Right now, I’m having a great time wearing other peoples’ designs. There are so many young talented designers out there.”

Meanwhile, the young star has been supportive of her new husband’s stylish side ventures, frequently taking to social media to promote items from his House of Drew clothing line – she posed for a photo with pal Kendall Jenner at the Coachella festival over the weekend, wearing a bandanna from the collection. Justin posted the shot on Instagram.

She was also spotted wearing a diamond-encrusted Bieber necklace.

News of Baldwin’s makeup line comes following the recent announcement of her Levi’s 501 campaign. The line features items she helped customise.

Hailey has long ties with the brand, and she famously made headlines for wearing an oversized Levi’s trucker jacket, emblazoned with the name ‘Bieber’, when she announced her marriage to the Baby hitmaker.

Jeremy Scott is to celebrate Coachella in style by launching his latest Moschino collection, inspired by The Sims, at the festival.

Known for his love of cartoons, Scott has now turned his attention to computer games, designing a capsule collection paying homage to the life simulation video game by EA.

He’ll unveil the quirky clothes at the first weekend of Coachella, which kicks off on Friday (12Apr19) at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, at the Palm Springs Desert Party.

“I love the idea of being able to imagine, design and bring to life a world of individual personas with The Sims universe,” he said in a statement. “That concept emulates what I get to do for each collection at Moschino as I create a fantasy universe of spectacular storylines and characters.”

Fans looking to snap up the latest Moschino range can get their hands on the items in store and online from Saturday.

The collection includes T-shirts, sweaters, sports bras, dresses, shorts, trousers, swimwear and accessories, all bearing pixilated motifs and finishes.

Models have posed in The Sims-style setups, including in a home, bar and campsite.

Scott previously channelled Barbie, Looney Tunes and SpongeBob SquarePants in his Moschino offerings.

The 2019 Coachella line-up sees Ariana Grande, Donald Glover’s Childish Gambino and Tame Impala top the bill.

It runs across two weekends, finishing on 21 April. Janelle Monae and Khalid are also among the acts performing.
