David Beckham and his partners at fashion brand Kent & Curwen have launched a new clothing line collaboration with British band The Stone Roses.
The Capsule Collection was first announced last year (18) and has now been unveiled on the label’s website.
The new line features the band’s iconic artwork, designed by guitarist John Squire, on a range of T-shirts, hats and jackets.
Kent & Curwen creative director Daniel Kearns grew up listening to The Stone Roses, according to a press statement.
“For him they are a band that established the look and the sound of the 90’s,” the release reads. “The music and artwork created by The Stone Roses now forms the inspiration for the Kent & Curwen Spring/Summer 2019 collection which celebrates the feeling of British summertime, iconic British music and British culture.”
The collaboration is a good fit for Beckham, who is a longtime fan of The Stone Roses and Kent & Curwen’s clothing.
The band dedicated a song to him during a show in Manchester, England in 2017, just before calling it quits on their reunion.
The launch comes just weeks after the Kent & Curwen label, which the former soccer superstar co-owns, unveiled its collaboration with hit TV show Peaky Blinders last month (Jan19).
The brand’s bosses showed off the new collection during London Fashion Week: Men’s as Beckham, his wife Victoria, their eldest son Brooklyn, and his model girlfriend Hana Cross watched.
The line, inspired by the BBC series about 1920s gangsters in Birmingham, was designed by Kearns.
