Cher has been tapped to headline Dsquared2’s latest fashion campaign.

The Hollywood icon is starring in the new spring/summer 2020 marketing imagery for the Milan-based label, helmed by twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten.

Shot by photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the black-and-white image depicts Cher gazing into the distance while wearing ripped jeans and a black sweater with the word “Icon” emblazoned across the front.

“This Is What Happens When The Three Of Us Get Together. Dean, Dan & Cher. #D2SS20 Happy 25TH Anniversary,” the 73-year-old captioned a snap of the campaign on her Instagram page.

The Catens also posted the campaign to their Twitter feed along with the word: “ICONIC”.

The imagery was directed by Giovanni Bianco, with Serena Radaelli tasked with styling Cher’s signature brunette locks and Isamaya Ffrench in charge of make-up.

It is not known if Cher will be appearing in other imagery for the brand.

The Catens launched their company in 1995, and over the years, have built up a reputation for offering edgy sportswear, elegant dresses, and sharp suiting, counting the likes of Madonna, Britney Spears, and Beyonce as fans.

To mark the 25th anniversary of the brand, the duo celebrated by having Sister Sledge perform during their Milan Fashion Week presentation in January.

Awkwafina had to learn how to beat her insecurities and love herself in a dress.

The Crazy Rich Asians star feels more comfortable wearing suits on the red carpet, but she is working hard to become confident while wearing gowns.

“I think fittings for me always start with insecurity, like, ‘I hate this part about me,'” the 31-year-old shared. “I love dresses, but I think I had to learn to love myself in a dress. I had to learn to look at myself and be like, ‘Don’t slouch; really stand up and feel proud that you’re in this beautiful dress.’ I had to teach myself that.”

Awkwafina, real name Nora Lum, prefers wearing glamorous two-piece suits because not only can she move better, it makes her feel powerful.

“The first time I really wore a suit to an event, I remember thinking, ‘I can move so well.’ But then there is (also) something about looking at yourself in a suit that does make you feel a sense of empowerment,” the Golden Globe Award-winning actress added. “I like suits because I grew up kind of more of a tomboy. So I live in them better.”

Awkwafina’s style has evolved with the help of stylist Erica Cloud, who is responsible for dressing the former YouTube rapper in a pale pink Dsquared2 sequinned suit for the 2019 Academy Awards, and now the actress feels like she can express herself on the red carpet.

“I always felt very unsure when it came to fashion, but what I learned from (working with a stylist) is that it is definitely an expression of who you are,” she said. “If you don’t (feel like) yourself in it, you’re not going to feel good in anything that you wear.”

Dsquared2 and Drake’s lifestyle label October’s Very Own (OVO) are going into business together.

The two fashion brands are teaming up on a capsule collection which will feature laid back pieces like a denim jacket, jeans, a grey hoodie with coordinated fleece track pants, and T-shirts. Two hats – a beanie and baseball cap – complete the line.

And Dsquared2’s twin founders Dean and Dan Caten have put their own spin on OVO’s signature owl motif, duplicating the bird and adding their own logo alongside it.

“We have this intuitive cultural understanding between us, we are all from Toronto, Canada power, working with Drake was like creating with the third D, D cubed to the power of three,” Dean smiled, according to WWD.

“We feel that collaborations unify forces from different industries, whether it is fashion or music, coming together is the way to go,” added Dan.

The capsule drops on Friday at OVO’s seven flagships across Canada, the U.S. and in London, as well as on the OVO website. Prices range from $138 (£107) to $598 (£466).

It marks the latest collaboration for the design brothers, who have also worked with famed fashion photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and basketball star Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union’s husband, in recent years.

God’s Plan hitmaker Drake founded his OVO clothing brand with entrepreneur Oliver El-Khatib and longtime producer Noah ’40’ Shebib, in 2011. The trio also owns the OVO record label.

Natasha Poly is pregnant with her second child.

The supermodel and her husband Peter Bakker are already parents to five-year-old daughter Aleksandra, and on Thursday (16Nov18) she took to social media to tell fans that her family will soon be welcoming a new addition.

In a sweet black-and-white photo posted to Instagram, Natasha and Aleksandra are wearing pyjamas and laying on a bad with their eyes shut, as both their hands rest on the Russian star’s baby bump.

“Baby N2,” she captioned the post, followed by emojis including a baby and pregnant mother.

The touching post received liked from models including Karlie Kloss and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, while many other fashion starlets flocked to share their messages of congratulations with Natasha.

“Congrats beauty!!!!! So happy for you and your family,” wrote Lily Aldridge, while Doutzen Kroes similarly added, “So excited for you and your beautiful family!! Congratulations love.”

Meanwhile, mother-of-two Candice Swanepoel suspected Natasha’s good news all along, commenting, “I knew it!!!!”

Though the Victoria’s Secret Angel may have had a hunch, the 33-year-old’s pregnancy bombshell will likely come as a surprise to most, since she showed no signs of a baby bump when she attended an event organised by her modelling agency, Women Management, last Wednesday (07Nov18).

Sporting a girly pink hairstyle, Natasha looked incredibly trim and taut as she posed in a fitted black blazer with a plunging neckline and slim-fitted trousers by Dsquared2, accessorised with high heels and a black handbag with chain detailing.

Dean and Dan Caten have recalled their traumatic experiences of childhood bullying.

The 53-year-old identical twins are founders and owners of fashion label Dsquared2, which is known for edgy sportswear, elegant dresses and sharp suiting, counting the likes of Madonna, Britney Spears and Beyonce as fans.

The brothers recently designed a capsule collection with anti-bullying organisation Be Cool Be Nice, and in an interview with British Vogue, they shared details of their own emotional experience.

“(Bullies) beat us up every day. We found new ways of going home so we wouldn’t be attacked by bullies,” Dean explained to the publication. “There’s a certain kind of flower that I can’t even smell because they rubbed it in our faces and beat us up.”

“We came from a poor family. We dressed badly. We were feminine. We were everything possible to pick on. And it was fun for everybody,” added Dan.

The duo were so scared that they slept together in case “something bad” happened, and still share a bed today but “don’t sleep face to face.” In addition to the bullying, the pair suffered additional trauma when their parents could no longer afford to look after them both, and they were separated for a year. This time apart means that Dean and Dan have since vowed to never be apart.

“There was a moment in my life when I thought I was never going to see my brother again,” Dean admitted. “That will never happen again in our life. So if we’re afraid of the dark and need to sleep next to each other then we’re okay because there’s no stronger power than can get us. It’s not sexual, it’s brotherly.”
