Natalia Vodianova’s Naked Heart Foundation raised more than $1 million (£760,000) at a charity event on Thursday evening (12Jul18).

Philanthropic model Natalia founded the charity in 2004 with the aim of ensuring that every child in her native Russia has a loving family and a safe and stimulating place to play.

On Thursday, the Naked Heart Foundation hosted a gala dinner at Pashkov House in Moscow, with stars including Mick Jagger, Nicole Scherzinger and model Sasha Luss attending.

“Ready for tonight Gala dinner time all funds raised tonight will benefit the development of free support services for families of children with special needs in Russia. Thank you to our friends @qatarrussia for making this evening possible @nakedheartfoundation #qatarrussia2018,” Natalia posted on Instagram before the event.

“Beyond proud tonight thank you to everyone for joining us tonight for such a special event and raising above 1million euros for @nakedheartfoundation,” she added after.

Wearing a sparkling red floor length dress, with giant corsage detail, Natalia happily posed for photos alongside her A-list guests.

Louis Vuitton, jewellery brand Mercury and FIFA World Cup, which is currently being played in the Eastern European country, all donated lots to the gala.

“We are so grateful to our guests for their generosity and to sponsors for fantastic lots including @LouisVuitton FIFA WORLD CUP™ Official match ball collection trunk with 13 match balls inside signed by 55 world champions, and a unique ring by @mercury_russia @mercuryjewellery,” a representative for Naked Heart Foundation wrote on Instagram.

“Thanks to your support we can make a difference to the lives of more children with special needs and their families.”

Stella McCartney made sure she watched the England 2018 FIFA World Cup match after her debut Men’s Fashion Week show.

McCartney treated guests at her Milan presentation, including model and actor Luka Sabbat, to a garden party on Monday evening (18Jun18), complete with Aperol Spritz cocktails and fresh pizzas served in McCartney-branded boxes.

Presenting men’s and womenswear, the British designer also made sure the Tunisia v England game was shown via a giant projector.

“We need to find the football!” she exclaimed during the evening to The Hollywood Reporter. “England’s playing tonight! I need to go and watch it. It’s my dad’s (Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney) birthday, so I’m hoping that brings us good luck. Come on England!”

“We’re aware that fashion can be relentless. We just wanted everyone to have a good time,” she added of her party setting.

As well as her home side winning 1-2, McCartney also served up an impressive co-ed collection. The menswear line featured classic chequered tailoring, oversized gingham shirts and retro sportswear.

“The inspiration is very much the best of Stella McCartney,” she explained. “It’s what people come to us for but elevated and twisted.”

The female models also rocked a sporty vibe, but mixed in with ethereal touches, like the stacked sneaker-style shoes worn with silk slip dresses and pretty printed suits.

“For the women’s collection we wanted to have a conversation between sportswear and femininity,” she noted.

Bags, shoes and sunglasses were also on show.

Natalia Vodianova is hopeful the 2018 FIFA World Cup will bring about social change in Russia.

The model is enjoying the famous soccer tournament taking place in her home country, and was on hand to present the World Cup trophy, which was encased in a Louis Vuitton box, with Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas ahead of the first match last week (ends17Jun18).

Over the years celebrities like Madonna, Lady Gaga and Sam Smith have spoken out against Russia’s controversial anti-gay policies, but Natalia is confident the Eastern European nation will benefit from being the 2018 World Cup host country.

“It definitely will be an opportunity for social change in the country, because of the infrastructure that has been put in place,” she said to British Vogue. “Russia is a wonderful country, full of treasures, whether in nature, culture, people. Of course, like all the countries we have our changes to make and things to improve. But I am hopeful for the future generations, the children of the World Cup, who will see a different future for Russia.”

In the opening game of the tournament, Russia beat Saudi Arabia five goals to nil.

The 36-year-old beauty watched the game live with three of her five children, and says it was a special experience.

“I must say, that first goal Russia scored was like popping a blister,” she smiled. “It was such an important game for Russia – even the most enthusiastic supporters would not have predicted such a victory. We were very proud and are hopeful for the rest of the tournament.

“It was very special having my children with me – for Neva, my daughter, it was her first match. They all had the best time. Now we have a summer of football matches ahead.”

Virgil Abloh is gearing up to release a soccer-themed Off-White collection for Nike.

The Ghanaian-American designer and artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s men’s wear collection, is one of the hottest names in the fashion industry, with A-list fans of his Milan-based fashion label Off-White including Rihanna, Bella Hadid and Drake.

Abloh previously teamed up with the sportswear giant to create “The Ten” and Air Presto footwear collections and he is now releasing another line in time for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

“The great thing about the vocabulary and history of football is that aesthetically it has its own look. I was always inspired by the way European teams have a sponsor printed over the chest,” he said in a statement, according to Footwear News. “When I was working on this collection, I wanted to celebrate the different variants of typography.”

The Football, Mon Amour collection will include two Flyknit Zoom Fly sneakers, available in black and orange colourways. The shoes feature Nike’s Swoosh icon and Abloh’s signature dot design.

“I wanted to communicate where a player strikes the ball. So, I put dots on the boot; if you’re going to strike the ball, your foot-eye coordination is basically the only variance of chance,” the 37-year-old shared. “That’s what the collection started with, these running shoes that mimic…your actual boot on the pitch so that you start subconsciously training all the time. Then I just applied that aesthetic from the bottom up.”

To complement the footwear, Abloh is also unveiling a range of matching apparel, such as soccer shirts printed with the Off-White logo and a black tracksuit.

The line will be available to purchase from 14 June (18), the day the World Cup kicks off in Russia.
