Jacquemus is to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a show in Provence, France.

Designer Simon Porte Jacquemus is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with in the fashion industry, having started his own brand in 2009 when he was only 19.

Now, Jacquemus will mark a decade of business by returning to his home region for a show on 24 June. An exact location is yet to be announced.

“I couldn’t picture myself in Paris at all – it had to be at home in Provence. It’s going to be epic. It’s a mind-blowing place,” he told WWD, adding that he was at first unsure about how to commemorate the occasion, after some comments from his team members. “But I was sure that we should mark it, because it’s part of the history of the brand and my personal story. I started at 19, I’m 29 now. How do I feel? Pretty good. It’s weird. It’s a lot of things. But I think this is going to be a new start for us, not just because of the anniversary, but because of the move.”

The anniversary event will be Jacquemus’ first co-ed fashion show, as he introduced menswear in June 2018.

While the designer is based in Paris, and has recently extended his office space, he also showed his spring/summer 2019 menswear show in Marseille.

And in spite of his success, Jacquemus is determined to remain an independent company and continue to act as both creative director and chief executive officer of his label.

“I talk to a lot of people, but I have a strong character. Anyway, I’m going to stay independent. I’m never going to work for anyone,” the designer shared. “I love the journey, all these men and women with whom I have built this. Some people joined as interns and now hold important jobs, so that’s something I’m really proud of, because that’s what moves me the most.”

Disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has been hit with another lawsuit for allegedly raping a woman in 2006.

Emma Loman claims she first met the producer in 2004, and two years later he allegedly contacted her to tell her he was “impressed” with her as an actress.

Loman claims Weinstein invited her to the Cannes Film Festival in France, insisting the trip would benefit her career.

When Loman arrived at the festival she claims Weinstein peppered her “with professional advice and support, gradually gaining her trust”, and eventually invited her to his “office” – which was in a hotel suite.

Loman then claims he “quickly dropped his professional demeanor”, and “overpowered Loman and raped her” before rushing her out of the hotel room, telling her he would call her.

The accuser subsequently met with Harvey for a second time because she “wanted an explanation and an apology” from him, but upon entering his hotel suite she saw another woman, and Weinstein “indicated that he wanted a threesome…”

She claims his security guards initially prevented her from leaving, but after she “began to shout and cry”, Weinstein calmed her down and allowed her to go, telling her he was engaged and adding “journalists were waiting downstairs, who would ruin his marriage and career if they saw a distraught woman who had come from his suite (sic).”

Emma claims she didn’t tell anyone about the alleged rape because she was convinced “no one would believe her”, but she decided to come forward after multiple allegations of sexual misconduct and assault were aimed at Harvey last year (17).

According to The Blast, she is suing for assault, battery, false imprisonment, and violation of human trafficking laws and is seeking damages in excess of $75,000 (£58,300).

Weinstein, who is facing multiple sex assault criminal charges in New York, has not commented on Loman’s claims, but he has previously denied all allegations of non-consensual sex.

Paris Jackson has insisted that she didn’t “storm out” of Dior’s fashion show recently, but left quietly because she was “heartbroken” over how they allegedly treated the horses.

The 20-year-old was one of the famous faces at the fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2019 Cruise Collection presentation at the Chantilly Stables in France on Friday (25May18), where some of the models rode side-saddle on horses.

Some reports emerged from the show suggesting Paris “huffed out barefoot” and “stalked out in a rage” as the first model appeared on the runway, and Paris addressed the speculation on Twitter on Tuesday night (29May18).

“To be clear, i did not ‘storm out’ of the show,” she wrote. “I quietly got up and walked out trying my hardest to not cause a scene, because i do not support animals being branded and whipped. not trying to become enemies in the fashion world in any way, but i will always be myself.

“Furthermore, i was not ‘enraged,’ just taken by surprise and a little heartbroken. and i have no doubt that all high end fashion brands will soon switch over to no-fur and anti animal cruelty, as that seems to be the pattern here. and we should all be very excited about that!”

Michael Jackson’s daughter had previously confirmed she left the show early by sharing a picture on Instagram of herself standing outside the venue looking up to the sky as it rained, while wearing the multi-coloured printed dress and black leather bag with a rainbow-striped strap that she posed in before the presentation. However, she had removed her red heels and was stood in the rain barefoot.

Paris, who reportedly follows a cruelty-free diet and uses her social media presence to campaign for animal welfare, wrote in the caption, “left early n did this,” with a storm emoji.
