Ciara is “so proud” of how her hair has grown back following a disastrous chemical treatment.

The Goodies singer is always one to watch on the red carpet, and since launching her career in 2003, has built up a reputation for her glamorous ensembles and eye-catching hairstyles.

Recently, Ciara has ditched her long extensions for her natural tresses, and on Sunday (28Apr19), she uploaded a video to Instagram showing how she can now tie her hair up into a ponytail.

“The first time I got a relaxer when I was young, it took out my hair. I was devastated. I never thought my hair would grow back. So proud,” she captioned the video.

A relaxer is a type of cream or lotion typically used by people with natural curls which makes hair easier to straighten by chemically “relaxing” the strands.

In the video, Ciara teased fans that she would divulge all of her hair “secrets” at a later date.

The clip has quickly racked up over 1.8 million views, with fans praising the star’s decision to embrace her own hair instead of experimenting with wigs or hairpieces.

“Long hair don’t care,” one user wrote in the comments, while a second stated, “Because we’re not meant to get relaxers Queen our hair texture is meant to stay in its natural hair state #teamnatural.”

Another follower suggested that Ciara’s new look is all down to her settled home life, with the 33-year-old having been blissfully happy since marrying Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson in 2016.

Together they have daughter Sienna, who turned two on Sunday, and she also is mum to four-year-old son Future from her on again, off again relationship with rapper Future.

“Her hair is long because she got rid of all the negative stuff,” they insisted.

As part of the promotion of her Beauty Marks album, which is set to be unveiled in May, Ciara also posted a make-up-free selfie to Instagram last week, and encouraged her followers to do the same for a project celebrating the new record – her seventh studio offering.

Ciara has insisted that drinking “tons of water” was key in helping her regain her sleek figure.

The star, who is renowned for her toned physique and works hard to keep it in shape, admitted to Entertainment Tonight that making small lifestyle changes helped her shed 50lb (23kg) in five months after welcoming her daughter, Sienna, on 28 April 2017.

“Tonnes of water – water is key – and honestly just listening to your body,” she cited as the most important thing she does for her wellbeing. “I had to work on mastering that because I love food so much, and food is so good. It’s so comforting and the problem is that, when it’s in your face, you want more.

The Love Sex Magic songstress went on to admit that she found restricting her diet the toughest part of getting back in shape, and insisted that “finding balance is key”.

“That’s what I’ve really been working on and I will tell you it’s been a long time, it’s hard work trying to do that…” the 33-year-old reflected. “I really talk to myself, (I say) ‘I’m not going to eat those fries right now…brownie ice cream, I hear you. Imma eat you tomorrow’.”

Sienna is the star’s first child with her husband, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. She also has a son, four-year-old Future, from her previous engagement to rapper Future.

The Level Up hitmaker also suggested that, while she takes the time to tone up, she’s also keen to embrace her flaws.

“Even something as real as having stretch marks on my back on both sides, I look at these babies and it’s all worth it,” she confessed. “This is beautiful.”

Rapper Future bought his nine year old daughter high end designer items during a recent $40,000 (£30,000) shopping spree.

The Mask Off hitmaker indulged in the retail therapy session, which was arranged by bosses at Complex magazine, buying up items from top brands and designers and he admitted he has started spoiling his little girl, Londyn Wilburn, early, noting she has already has a wardrobe grown women would envy.

“I be buying my little girl 10, 20 pairs of Chanel and she ain’t nothing but nine years old,” he said during the video segment, Sneaker Shopping, which was filmed for the publication. “She got more bags than grown ladies.”

He also picked up Chanel rope sandals, Balenciaga knit sneakers, and Prada ankle boots for Londyn.

The 35 year old, born Nayvadius Wilburn, also treated himself to purchases, during a trip to the Barneys’ shoe department, picking up footwear by Prada and Vetements.

“When I get started, I don’t stop,” he shared.

Other pieces Future left the stores with included Gucci slippers, Buscemi sneakers and Givenchy socks.

During the outing, he admitted to having a shopping addiction and recognised he may need to curb some of his spending habits.

“I shop every day,” he said. “I probably spend two to three hundred thousand dollars on clothes a month. “It’s crazy. I gotta stop.”

Future’s love of fashion inspired him to drop an exclusive new clothing line earlier this month (Jan19) – the collection features T-shirts from designers Pyer Moss and Rhude.

Ciara keeps herself motivated by working out with her football star husband Russell Wilson.

Over the years, the Goodies singer has used regular gym sessions and energetic dance routines to maintain her fitness and enviable abs.

However, Ciara has now shared that she now prefers couples’ workouts to individual regimes, and sometimes even brings her and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell’s 20-month-old daughter Sienna, and her four-year-old son Future, from her relationship with rapper Future, along too.

“There’s a lot of athleticism in our household and (Russell and I) do a lot of things together. We find even more ways to be motivated because we can work towards our individual goals together,” she said in an interview with Vogue.com. “When I was losing my baby weight, it was so amazing having my partner right there beside me, cheering me on. And it’s cool (because) your kids get to see you in action.”

With her passion for fitness, Ciara has just been named a brand ambassador for U.S. fitness company Equinox.

And while she may appear to be the epitome of health, the star did divulge that she faces her own set of body issues.

“I have diastasis recti, which is when your stomach muscles split post-pregnancy. I had it after my first pregnancy, and could feel a difference compared to my abs before I ever had a child,” the 33-year-old explained. “But the second time it was really noticeable because my muscles were actually laying differently. Immediately, I changed my workout to focus on that and the gap between my muscles began to get tighter and tighter.”

In addition, Ciara spoke about her diet and noted that she plans to incorporate more vegetables such as broccoli and beetroot into her everyday meals.

“I want to make sure I’m moving away from the foods that make my body feel more weighed down at certain parts of the day, as well as focus on being more open-minded and leaning into lighter protein options, like fish, and definitely eating more vegetables,” she said.
