Jane Fonda has no desire to go under the knife for any further plastic surgery.

The 82-year-old actress still looks as glamorous as ever when she hits the red carpet for a premiere or awards ceremony, but has been open about the amount of work it’s taken to maintain her flawless visage and enviable hourglass figure.

Yet, in an interview with Elle Canada, Jane insisted she won’t have any more procedures done.

“I can’t pretend that I’m not vain, but there isn’t going to be any more plastic surgery – I’m not going to cut myself up anymore,” she shared, before adding: “I have to work every day to be self-accepting; it doesn’t come easy to me.”

But the screen star tries to lift her spirits by poking fun at herself in hilarious posts on her social media pages.

“I try to make it very clear that it has been a long and continuing struggle for me,” the Grace and Frankie star insisted. “I post pictures of me looking haggard – and once with my tooth out!”

Jane candidly discussed her plastic surgery past in her 2018 documentary, Jane Fonda in Five Acts.

And as to why she’d decided to go public with that revelation, the Hollywood veteran replied: “I knew that if I really told the truth, it would be universal. All these issues are universal among women: ‘I’m not good enough; I have to please, starting with Daddy; I’m not pretty enough; I’m not thin enough; I’m not smart enough.'”

Jane Fonda promoted sustainable fashion at the 2020 Academy Awards on Sunday night by slipping into a dress she’d previously worn six years ago.

The 82-year-old looked stunning in a red sequin Elie Saab gown as she presented the Best Picture prize to Parasite director Bong Joon Ho and producer Kwak Sin-ae during the ceremony held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

However, fans were quick to point out that Jane had first sported the dress at the 67th International Cannes Film Festival in 2014, with the move in keeping with her promise not to purchase any new clothes as part of her protests against climate change.

In addition, the Grace and Frankie star swapped her signature blonde hairstyle for a shorter, silver crop and topped off her ensemble with Pomellato jewellery, explaining in a post on Instagram that she opted for items from the brand because the designers “only use responsible, ethically harvested gold and sustainable diamonds”.

But Jane wasn’t the only celebrity to recycle a look for the Oscars. Elizabeth Banks opted to give a pre-loved gown another outing and attended the Vanity Fair after-party wearing a scarlet Badgley Mischka dress.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the bash, Elizabeth revealed she had first worn the ensemble at the magazine’s party back in 2004.

“I’m upcycling this dress – I wore this dress for the first time to Vanity Fair in 2004,” she explained. “And, we very rarely get a dress gifted to us. Badgley Mischka made this dress for me. Back then, I was in Seabiscuit, which was a big Oscar nominee, and they gave it to me, and I recently moved and found it in the back of the closet. And it still fits! So, I’m wearing it on the carpet tonight. Very excited to be wearing a dress, recycling a dress from 16 years ago.”

Elsewhere, Booksmart actress Kaitlyn Dever wore a red Louis Vuitton dress made from “completely sustainable” fabrics, while Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star Margot Robbie looked stunning in a vintage midnight blue gown from Chanel.

Jane Fonda’s very first fitness collection is set to be unveiled in July.

The Hollywood star announced last November that she was developing a lifestyle brand with Evine, with the range to be aimed at women over 50.

Now, editors at WWD have confirmed that the line will include 25 pieces and will officially launch on 5 July.

Fonda is famous for her at-home fitness videos in the ’80s, and despite her dedication to following a healthy lifestyle for more than 30 years, this is her very first activewear collection.

The Grace and Frankie star was involved in designing every item of the line, which includes T-shirts, sports bras and leggings. Prices start at $40 (£31) for a cotton/jersey blend T-shirt and go up to $125 (£99) for a terrycloth/spandex zip-up sweatshirt.

Fonda, who sold more than 17 million copies of her Jane Fonda Workout series more than 30 years ago, is proud of her inclusive range.

“Inspired by my lifetime love for fitness, I wanted to create a line that is fun, comfortable and timeless. It was also really important to me that the line be accessible to everyone, both in its price point but also with inclusive sizing,” the 81-year-old shared.

As part of the partnership with multiplatform and video commerce retailer Evine, there will be activewear, athleisure, health and nutrition products and fitness equipment available to buy, and the Oscar-winning actress will also be making appearances on the network.

“Jane Fonda has a lifetime of experience in the health and fitness industry,” Evine’s Nicole Ostoya gushed back in November. “She holds the unique ability to relate to women of all ages and backgrounds. We love what she stands for as an artist, expert and activist.”

Brooklyn Decker has shared the name of the product she used to combat her chin acne.

The model-turned-actress, who is known for her tumbling blonde locks and flawless complexion, always looks picture-perfect whenever she steps out on the red carpet.

However, Brooklyn used to suffer from blemishes on her chin and jawline, and she has now divulged that she credits MyChelle’s Fruit Enzyme Cleanser with helping to clear her acne up.

“I used to have really bad acne before I had kids, all these zits right here and somebody recommended this to me to help my acne, and it really worked,” the mother-of-two said in a video for Harper’s Bazaar’s Go To Bed With Me series. “It’s really effective at getting the day off… You know how a lot of make-up removers feel like they’re stripping your skin? Because this is oil based, it still feels really soft and nice. My skin feels ready and prepped for all of the magical tinctures I’m going to add to it.”

Brooklyn went on to explain that she uses Beauty Counter’s Cleansing Balm to remove all of her make-up before cleansing and is also a fan of using iS Clinical’s Pro-Heal Serum Advance Plus to “heal” her face.

“What I love about this is it’s great for anti-ageing and fighting acne, which I had a lot of when I was pregnant but I’m using it after because it’s awesome,” the Grace and Frankie star commented of the serum. “And like I said, this is church, it’s all about healing the damage from the week.”

Another secret Brooklyn shared was how she achieves a natural-looking glow by adding a couple of drops of James Read’s H2O Face Tan Drops to Vintner’s Daughter’s Active Botanical Serum and mixes the oils in her hands.

“The first time I tried this I put eight drops into my hands and applied it like a face oil. Woke up with an orange face, don’t recommend that,” she cautioned. “Rub it all together and then just pat it on your face. And I wake up glowy and kinda just a little sun kissed… It’s not tan, it’s not bronze, it’s just a little bit of glowy – but I love it!”

Jane Fonda has reflected on getting older and admitted that she has never felt beautiful.

The veteran actress made the comments during an interview for British Vogue, where she discussed the challenges of ageing and what the process has taught her.

“I think (getting older) is harder for women,” the Grace and Frankie star confessed. “But what’s so lucky for me is that I never felt beautiful.”

The 81-year-old claimed that she has “gone through periods of time where she was definitely not beautiful,” and suggested that self-confidence and strength are as integral to beauty as aesthetics.

When discussing self-maintenance, the Youth actress stressed that women should start young to help make getting older easier.

“It’s survival,” she insists. “It’s really a matter of self-interest. I wish I could help young people understand the importance of laying a foundation of muscular strength and aerobic fitness.”

The star also highlighted that, despite being in her 80s, she remains independent, and revealed that she prefers being single because she doesn’t have to cater to someone else’s needs.

“I cannot be in a relationship with a man. That is my failing,” the Julia star stated. “I realize I can never overcome it. When I’m with a man, I give myself up.”

The Hollywood icon concluded that, despite the challenges that it brings, she is “fond of age”.

“I like being over the hill because I’ve discovered there’s a whole new landscape,” she said. “I’m glad I’ve lived this long… I mean, it’s better than the alternative.”

Lily Tomlin has joked she may not be around by the time a sequel to her movie 9 to 5 is made.

The 79-year-old actress – alongside co-star and fellow Hollywood icon Jane Fonda – opened up about the film during the Grace and Frankie panel at PaleyFest in Los Angeles, and she had “hope” for the long-rumoured project.

“(We’re) waiting for the script,” Fonda shared, while Tomlin quipped: “Everybody is very hopeful. We may not live to see it.”

The pair also revealed that they are still hard at work trying to get their 9 to 5 co-star Dolly Parton to guest star on their hit Netflix series.

The comedy, about three female secretaries who decide to get revenge on their tyrannical, sexist boss by abducting him and running the business themselves, was released in 1980.

A sequel has been discussed for years, but the trio’s busy schedules have hampered negotiations, and last year (18), Parton said that she, Tomlin and Fonda had all signed on for the 9 to 5 follow-up during an interview with ABC News’ Nightline.

“All these years we’ve talked about doing a sequel to 9 to 5, but it never made any real sense,” she shared. “Until just recently (with) all the equal work for equal pay and all the harassment in the workplace (backlash) – we decided that we are going to try to do another one.”

And Parton revealed that if the script was right, they wouldn’t hesitate to go ahead with the sequel.

“We’re trying to get the script and all that. Everybody is very interested, and we’ve all agreed that we’d love to do it, if it’s right,” she explained.

Brooklyn Decker had no problems shedding the pounds after having her children – in fact, she lost so much weight that her curves went too.

The Grace and Frankie star first publicly addressed her changing shape in February (19) clapping back at an Instagram troll who body-shamed her for looking so “gangly”.

“For the umpteenth time- because people love to comment on my body … my children sucked the life out of my body and left behind a bag of bones,” the former model replied to the body-shamer, who subsequently deleted the tweet.

Now, in an interview with Us magazine, the 31-year-old, who shares son Hank, three, and 15-month-old daughter Stevie with her tennis star husband Andy Roddick, harshly compared her post-pregnancy figure to a “long, floppy noodle.”

“I was one of the women who lost a lot of weight after having children. Before I had children, I had boobs and a body, and I was curvy,” she explained. “And then I had children, and after breastfeeding for however many years and doing sleepless nights, I just lost my body, or it became something different.”

In a 2011 interview, the mother-of-two admitted she used to be insecure about having “no shape.”

“People made fun of me and called me a boy,” the former Sports Illustrated cover model recalled to Self magazine. “I remember praying for boobs and a butt.”

However, while it has preoccupied some people online, the former model insists that since becoming a mother she is unbothered by the changes to her figure.

“Some people lose their boobs. Some people get bigger. Who gives a s**t, right?,” she explained to Us Weekly. “You just had a child, and your child’s healthy and that’s all that matters.

“When you have your first, you can really indulge in their every need and every snuggle and every moment and really soak them all up. And when you have two, you don’t have that same luxury. You’re still being a full parent to your first child.”
