Hailee Steinfeld relies on her father to help keep her in shape.

The 22-year-old singer and actress teased her trainer’s identity during an interview on Live with Kelly and Ryan on Thursday by saying she has known him for “almost 23 years” and then insisted she gets no special treatment from her personal trainer, Peter Steinfeld.

“He definitely does (push me),” the Bumblebee star added. “I’ve got a free pass but I no longer get away with the ‘Dad, this hurts’ (excuse). There is no remorse.”

And her father Peter doesn’t only specialise in physical fitness, but mental health too.

“He’s incredible, because I go to him with a certain state of mind and there’s an outcome I want to accomplish and he helps me get there,” the True Grit star shared.

And while free workouts are a big perk, she has one tiny complaint – she has to watch her mouth when the routines get really tough, because cursing is strictly “not allowed”.

It’s not the first time that Hailee has lavished praise on Peter – back in June, she posted a photo of the two of them in workout gear to celebrate Father’s Day in the U.S.

“Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! Especially mine. You really are the greatest of all time Dad. I wouldn’t be where I am without you. Thanks for being my best friend, my confidant, and my very own, personal (A** KICKING) trainer. Love you forever!!!” she captioned the snap on Instagram.

Ashley Benson has teamed with eyewear brand Prive Revaux once again to design a line of sunglasses.

The Pretty Little Liars actress, who is a partner in the affordable eyewear brand along with Jamie Foxx and Hailee Steinfeld, first released her own designs with the company in 2017, and has now designed the Prive Revaux x Benzo collection, which refers to her nickname.

The collection features three frame styles – a narrow version of a cat-eye named Olive, after her dog, a futuristic design with side shields labelled Planco, after her best friend, and a classic rectangular style named Victoria, after her middle name. Each design has acetate frames, polarised lenses and anti-blue light optical technology and will retail for $39.95 (£32).

“Everyone calls me Benzo and it adds more of a personal touch to it,” she said to WWD. “The Plancos are different and not everyone can wear them, but that’s my personality, I’m very different and I wanted some of the pairs to be really unique. And the others I would wear every day.”

The 29-year-old wanted the line to be affordable because she’s aware her fanbase is largely quite young.

“I have fans of all ages, but PLL girls are young and no one wants to spend money on sunglasses,” the star continued. “You lose them all the time – I’ve lost every one I’ve ever bought and then you just buy them again and you wind up spending so much money. So, the fact that I was able to have something that my fans would love and afford was really important to me and it was fun to be in a collaboration with Jamie Foxx and Hailee Steinfeld.”

Ashley, who will do a countdown ahead of the sunglasses launch on 22 July, is already planning her next collaboration with the brand.

Hunter McGrady is a married woman.

The Sports Illustrated model wed Brian Keys in Moorpark, California on Sunday in front of guests including Hailee Steinfeld and Olympian Aly Raisman, according to editors at People.com.

The ceremony was filled with emotion, as Hunter also recited a set of vows to her new stepdaughter.

“She’s just the most beautiful little girl,” she said of Brian’s eight-year-old child from a previous relationship. “She’s so special, so gentle and so loving.”

Hunter, who champions body positivity, wore two custom dresses from bridal company Watters.

“For me, being plus-sized, it was really hard to find any kind of wedding dress that I felt like myself in,” the 26-year-old shared. “I’m not ashamed of my body, and I wanted something that was really tight-fitting and shows off my curves.”

The curvy star chose a “very sexy, lace, romantic first dress” for the ceremony. She then changed for the reception, describing her second outfit as “kind of an ode” to the chic Stella McCartney gown Meghan, Duchess of Sussex sported at her reception when she wed Prince Harry in May 2018.

In July, Hunter and Brian will head to Turks and Caicos Islands for their honeymoon.

The couple met on Snapchat, and the 43-year-old popped the question in New York in late 2017.

“(On our first date), I saw him and was like, ‘That’s my husband.’ I just felt like I knew him forever,” Hunter gushed to the publication. “We’re both very easygoing and spontaneous. We just get each other. We have the same humour and the same likes. It just goes to show that when it works, it works!”

Hailee Steinfeld is the new leading lady in modern dating rom-com, Voicemails for Isabelle.

The project has been picked up by Sony, and will follow a young woman navigating the dating scene in Los Angeles, with the script penned by writer and actress Leah McKendrick.

Sharon Maguire, director of Bridget Jones’ Diary and Bridget Jones’ Baby, is in negotiations to helm the project, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch and Becky Sanderman are onboard as producers.

Though it’s being described as a modern-day romantic comedy, editors at Deadline report Voicemails for Isabelle has been inspired by the Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan 1998 classic, You’ve Got Mail, as technology is used to bring together a couple in the new movie.

Steinfeld last starred in the Transformers prequel spin-off Bumblebee, alongside John Cena, and also voiced Gwen Stacy in the hit animated movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

She was nominated for an Oscar at the age of just 14, after impressing critics for her portrayal as the fiery Mattie Ross in True Grit.

Maguire, who was praised for her efforts in bringing Helen Fielding’s books to life with Renee Zellweger starring as the loveable Bridget, also directed the 2008 drama Incendiary starring Michelle Williams and Ewan McGregor.

Director Travis Knight has lots of ideas for a potential Bumblebee sequel.

The 2018 movie followed Charlie Watson (Hailee Steinfeld), a teenage girl who finds and befriends a Transformer named Bumblebee. It marked the sixth instalment of the live-action Transformers franchise.

Bumblebee won positive reviews, especially for Steinfeld’s performance and the nostalgic ‘80s setting, and director Knight has now indicated that he would like to helm a follow-up.

“In my mind, I have all kinds of ideas for where Charlie goes from here; where Bumblebee goes from here; where Optimus Prime goes from here,” he said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “In my mind, I’ve already made those movies on some level… I love these characters, so it’d be a thrill to be able to tell a different kind of story in this universe. Time will tell.”

Bumblebee also featured John Cena in a key part, and Dylan O’Brien, Angela Bassett and Justin Theroux in voice roles.

And while the feature had plenty of star power, Knight is adamant that it wouldn’t have been the same without Steinfeld.

“Well, there’s the old saying that directing is 90 per cent casting, and I was incredibly blessed to have Hailee Steinfeld as my leading lady. She is one for the ages. She is incredibly talented; she’s so good. From the outset, I knew that she was my Charlie,” he gushed.

Even though a new Bumblebee film is yet to get the go-ahead from studio bosses, it may be some time coming as Steinfeld is busy with new TV series Dickinson, which delves into the life and work of American writer Emily Dickinson.

Though if the chance arises, the 22-year-old has previously stated she’s open to revisiting the character.

“I think (Charlie is) still capable of so much and we see that throughout the course of this film and we see how much growth takes place in such a short period of time that by the end of the film, you know, even though she’s overcome so much,” she said to Cinemablend.com.

Bumblebee director Travis Knight has signed on to make Mark Wahlberg’s The Six Billion Dollar Man film.

Back in 2014, studio executives announced that The Fighter actor would play Colonel Steve Austin, who becomes half machine following a near-death accident, in an adaptation of the classic 1970s sci-fi TV show starring Lee Majors.

Filming was originally due to begin in early 2015, though stalled following the departure of Peter Berg and Damian Szifron from the project. However, editors at Variety confirmed on Tuesday (16Apr19) that Knight was joining the film, with Ozark and The Accountant screenwriter Bill Dubuque penning the script. Sue Kroll, Bill Gerber, and Stephen Levinson are to produce the movie.

Knight is perhaps best known for working as the lead animator for stop-motion animation studio Laika and helming the films like 2016’s Kubo and the Two Strings and 2018’s Bumblebee.

Starring Hailee Steinfeld and John Cena, Bumblebee is a live-action spin-off of the Transformers franchise, and not only won largely positive reviews but also grossed over $466 million (£356 million) at the worldwide box office.

Neither Knight nor Wahlberg has yet commented on the news.

Previously, Warner Bros. bosses indicated that they planned to release The Six Billion Dollar Man in June 2020, though that date has not yet been confirmed. The studio purchased the rights to the movie from The Weinstein Company, the production company co-run by disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, in late 2017.

No other casting details have been announced. Wahlberg was most recently seen onscreen in action movie Mile 22 and comedy-drama Instant Family. The 47-year-old is currently in the post-production phase of his frequent collaborator Berg’s Wonderland, in which he plays an ex-felon named Spenser who returns to Boston’s criminal underworld to unravel a twisted murder conspiracy.

Meanwhile, Knight has served as a producer on the animated movie Missing Link, which features the voices of Hugh Jackman and Zoe Saldana.

Hailee Steinfeld is open to making more Bumblebee movies.

The Oscar-nominated actress portrays Charlie Watson, a teenage girl who finds and befriends a Transformer named Bumblebee, in the new flick – the sixth instalment of the live-action Transformers franchise.

Bumblebee has won praise for the 1980s setting and Steinfeld’s performance, and she has now indicated that she would be open to exploring her character further in a sequel.

“I think she’s still capable of so much and we see that throughout the course of this film and we see how much growth takes place in such a short period of time that by the end of the film, you know, even though she’s overcome so much,” the 22-year-old said in an interview with Cinemablend.com. “I still feel she’s got so much to say, a lot more to learn and a long way to go. So I would be interested in exploring that.”

Bumblebee was released in late December (18) and has so far been a success, garnering $97 million (£76 million) in the U.S. and $192 million (£150 million) at the global box office.

Previously, director Travis Knight stated that he would be interested in making more films if “the world wants more”, while Steinfeld’s co-star John Cena, who portrays former U.S. Army Ranger Jack Burns, has also indicated that he would want to appear in another flick.

“I really enjoyed working with Travis, but I love the movie and it looks like it’s going to make a lot of money too, so hopefully we’ll be able to do it again,” he said.

But if a new Bumblebee film did get the go-ahead it may be some time in the future, as Steinfeld has a number of projects on the go, including TV series Dickinson, which looks into the life and work of American writer Emily Dickinson.

Actress/singer Hailee Steinfeld has ended 2018 by achieving her bucket list dream of having an original song feature on one of her movie soundtracks.

The Pitch Perfect 3 star penned the track Back to Life for the new Transformers prequel Bumblebee, in which she plays Charlie Watson, a teenage girl who finds and befriends the titular robot.

The film is set in the 1980s, and even though Hailee wasn’t born until 1996, she channelled the vibe of that era to come up with a song which would fit in with the times, and that in turn helped her get into character.

“Really being able to immerse myself into that world (of the ’80s) was so much fun…,” she smiled on U.S. breakfast show Today. “The music plays such a huge role in this movie; it’s the way that this robot communicates…

“There’s an incredible soundtrack, which I was able to contribute to as well, but that I think was a perfect direct connection to the time that I was able to use.”

And combining her love of music and acting for the blockbuster project was a real thrill for Hailee.

“(It’s) so amazing! It’s been on my bucket list to have a song of my own in a movie of my own, and I have this song that I co-wrote, called Back to Life…,” she smiled. “This is a song that I wanted to explore the music of the ’80s and feel like it could represent our film in that time accurately, but also feel like it could be part of my music project today. It was an interesting approach writing it (while) playing this character.”

The single, released in November (18), is one of a handful of tracks Hailee has featured on this year, and she promises fans her debut studio album will soon be on its way.

“I had every intention of putting an album out this year, but this little movie (Bumblebee) came about and a TV show that I’m working on with Apple, called Dickinson, that finishes at the top of the year, and after that, I will be finishing what I started with the music,” she explained.

Hailee previously showed off her musical talents on her 2015 EP Haiz.

Hailee Steinfeld is in final talks to produce and star in the movie touted as the next A Star is Born.

Netflix bosses and War for the Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves are in advance talks to develop Matt King’s Idol script – about a young hopeful who becomes the assistant to a diva, according to Deadline.

Steinfeld is attached to star as the wannabe with dreams of becoming a success.

The True Grit star will also feature on the film’s soundtrack, which will be released by Federal Films, the motion picture division of Republic Records – Steinfeld’s label.

Her mother, Cheri Steinfeld, has also been tapped as one of the producers, according to the movie news outlet.

Hailee, who is a pop star in her own right with hits like Love Myself and Starving, married her love for singing and acting in the last two Pitch Perfect movies. She will next be seen in Paramount’s Bumble, which is scheduled to hit cinemas on 21 December. The actress will also be behind the voice of Gwen Stacy in Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse cartoon, which opens on 14 December, and she’ll portray poet Emily Dickinson in the Apple TV series Dickinson.

Meanwhile, Reeves, who appears to be the front-runner to direct Idol, also has his hands full – he has taken over the reins of the upcoming The Batman movie from Ben Affleck, who was originally slated to direct and star as the Caped Crusader, the comic book superhero he has portrayed in Justice League and Batman v Superman; Dawn of Justice.
