Emily Ratajkowski has opened up about her struggle with depression over the past year.

The model/actress took to Instagram on Monday to share a serious black-and-white selfie and a message about her recent mental health battles.

“This pic was taken toward the end of last year,” she wrote. “2019 was one of the hardest years of my life. My mom was really sick, I was battling a serious depression and everything felt very uncertain.”

Emily didn’t divulge any further details about her own health but indicated that she is now in a much better place – in spite of the coronavirus crisis currently sweeping the world.

“2020 is definitely giving last year a run for its money but I’m happy to say that I’ve have learned how to take better care of myself,” the 28-year-old stated. “I don’t generally like to get too personal on here and I’m far from having s**t figured out but these were some of the notes I scribbled down on New Year’s Eve. I wanted to share them and a little piece of my story in case they might make any of you feel less alone in the anxiety or confusion or fear you could be experiencing right now.”

In addition, the I Feel Pretty star uploaded several pages of handwritten notes titled “Things I learned in 2019,” along with an extensive list of life lessons.

“True satisfaction comes after quite patient hard work. You can’t control other people’s perceptions so do not let their perceptions dictate your life or who you are,” one point read, with others including, “Your feelings are always justified and should be honoured,” and “Be curious about yourself and other people rather than judgemental.”

Emily Ratajkowski used to be “obsessed” with looking at pictures of herself and criticising her appearance.

The 28-year-old, who has been in the spotlight since she began her modelling career at the tender age of 14, has candidly revealed that she used to study images of herself from red carpet events and tear herself down.

Speaking to People magazine about her last-minute nerves ahead of big celebrity bashes, the model and actress said she no longer suffers with any anxiety before stepping out in front of the cameras.

“I’m like, ‘Oh no, I just popped my arm up. Did I remember to shave my armpits?'” she shared. “But no, I don’t get nervous in the same way I used to, which was so obsessive, looking at the pictures and being really hard on myself. I don’t think that’s healthy or constructive… I think that we’re all human and that’s so important to remember.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the Gone Girl star opened up about her fitness regime, and shared that she relies on group workouts, such as high-intensity Zumba dance classes, to help keep her figure trim.

“When I’m going to the gym by myself it’s kind of like, ‘Okay what is this going to be like, what kind of mood am I in?’ I think that the class itself has so much energy and the way that the music is curated does help. There’s good bass and beat so you end up working harder,” she explained.

Amy Schumer jokingly sent trainer cease and desist letter after ‘extreme’ workout

Amy Schumer has jokingly sent her personal trainer a cease and desist letter following an “extreme and unduly” workout.

The Trainwreck star has been working hard to get back into shape following the birth of her son Gene in May.

But in a post on her Instagram page on Tuesday, Schumer admitted it had been tough going through workout sessions with her trainer AJ Fisher, and had drafted in her lawyer Isaac Dunham to send the exercise expert a faux legal document.

Alongside a screenshot of the letter Fisher received, which stated that Schumer had been unable “to perform simple daily tasks like walking and picking up her child as a result of such ‘exercise'”, the 38-year-old explained on her 3 Girls, 1 Keith podcast that the entire letter was an elaborate joke.

“On @3girls1keith this week I mentioned that as a joke I had my lawyer and who I love, draft a cease and desist to my trainer @ajcorectology because I thought the workouts were so hard. I jokingly threatened to do it during our workouts for months. This is it!” she wrote. “I love my lawyer and I once, without his permission bought him bench ad space on his route to work. He had a good reaction to it and wasn’t mad and sent this picture. AJ is an amazing trainer and is the reason I feel strong and good and have recovered from my herniated discs and C-section.”

Schumer concluded her post: “Was this is a wasteful use of resources? Very, very much so but it brought me so much joy.”

In the joke cease and desist letter, Schumer had Dunham ask Fisher to end her “torment” of the actress.

“We are the attorneys for Amy Schumer, an internationally known actress, comedian, and high-profile public figure,” the letter reads. “It has come to our attention that while Ms. Schumer has engaged you to perform simple physical training for her, you have instead forced Ms. Schumer to perform extreme and unduly punishing physical exercises well outside the bounds of normal physical training.”

Emily Ratajkowski wants to try a “crazy” hairstyle one day because she was never able to experiment with her locks as a teenager.

The model/actress started her fashion career at the age of 14, and has since gone on to nab campaigns for the likes of DKNY, Paco Rabanne, and haircare company Kerastase, as well as appear in films such as Gone Girl and I Feel Pretty.

However, Emily’s career means she has to keep her signature brunette locks the same, and she’s now shared that she hopes to one day try a new colour or style.

“I still have this deep want – need- to go crazy and get the teenage years out at some point, since I never got to dye my hair green or anything. And I’m always up for a dare,” she said in an interview for the November 2019 issue of Marie Claire magazine. “Well, I would be if I didn’t have a hair contract with Kerastase! So, it’s going to look like this for a while.”

Emily went on to explain that her hair is naturally straight and very fine. But over her years in the fashion industry, she has intently watched hair professionals in order to pick up some top styling tips.

“I’m really good with make-up now, but styling my own hair? It’s been a journey,” the 28-year-old said. “I can’t see the back of my own head! I don’t know what I’m doing!”

Elsewhere in the chat, Emily also shared that she once cut her friend’s hair into a bob and will play with wigs and hairpieces if she gets the urge to try a new look.

“I wear them all the time and people don’t realise,” she smiled.

Emily Ratajkowski has recruited TV veteran Judith Light and actor Andy Garcia’s daughter Alessandra Garcia-Lorido to help her promote her new Inamorata Woman bodysuit range.

The 27-year-old has released images of herself posing with 70-year-old Transparent actress Judith, while Alessandra, 27, appears in another shot, modelling a bodysuit that doubles as a dress.

She also tapped models Ebonee Davis and Shokunbi Halimotu for the campaign, as well as acupuncturist Walda Laurenceau.

In addition to modelling and designing the pieces, Emily served as creative director for the photoshoot, snapped by her frequent collaborator and friend Tom Newton.

Talking about the campaign in a statement, she said it “highlights the ageless versatility of a bodysuit” and is “designed to show how this timeless piece is a wardrobe staple at every age”.

Emily shared countless campaign shots on her Instagram page too.

“BODYsuits for everyBODY, at every age,” she captioned the photos. “Our latest @inamoratawoman BODY drop was created with the idea that bodysuits take women through life. They shouldn’t be a secret underpinning-we start wearing bodysuits as babies and as the incredible Judith Light reminded me, well into our seventies. While these are basics, it was super important to me that they were chic and perfectly fit-staples for everyone and everything. This collection is the result. Thank you to this very special group of women including @judithlight @eboneedavis @alessandragl @wellness_with_walda @ourladyj @shokunbi.halimotu for being a part of this project! Shot by @tomtakesphotoss.”

Judith and Alessandra posted snaps to their own Instagram accounts as well, and thanked Emily for bringing them on board.

The I Feel Pretty actress launched Inamorata as a bathing suit collection in 2017, bringing out lingerie and bodywear in February.

Emily Ratajkowski enjoys searching the Internet for vintage pieces from her favourite designers.

The I Feel Pretty actress is one of the hottest names in Hollywood and is quickly building up a reputation for her ability to pull off just about any fashion or beauty trend.

While Emily undoubtedly has a wardrobe full of designer garments already, she loves to add to her clothing collection with rare items found online.

“For me, I feel like there’s certain things that you just can’t get (in shops),” she told U.S. InStyle. “Like I’m obsessed with Phoebe (Philo, former creative director of Celine), and I’m really sad to see her go, and being able to find those special Celine pieces online at eBay, that’s the kind of thing I’m hoping to give my friends, because that’s the kind of thing they’re not going to buy for themselves.”

Emily may get a thrill from finding exclusive clothes or shoes online, but she admitted that she’s not a huge shopper and doesn’t actually like to spend hours trying on outfits. Instead, she builds up a wish list so she can indulge herself from time to time.

“I like having my little wish list, and when I feel like ‘O.K., I haven’t shopped in a long time, I deserve a little treat,’ going through and being like I’m going to finally get that for myself. That’s such a good feeling,” the 27-year-old insisted.

As part of a partnership with eBay, she has shared her shopping list with her fans. Her picks for the forthcoming holiday season include a Hunting Season velvet shoulder bag, priced at $475 (£359), white Adidas Yeezy Boost sneakers costing $220 (£166), a Christian Dior saddle bag and a diamond-encrusted Rolex watch.

Comedienne Amy Schumer has assured fans she isn’t pregnant – but she is creating a fashion line.

The Trainwreck star grabbed headlines on Thursday morning (12Jul18) after posting an image of herself in a red tank top and skirt on Instagram, tagging costume designer Leesa Evans and writing: “@leesaevansstyle and i are cookin somethin Up (sic)”.

Observers interpreted the newlywed’s message as a pregnancy reveal, but Amy, who married chef Chris Fischer earlier this year (Feb18) after just a few months of dating, returned to social media to insist she was not with child.

“I am not pregnant,” she shared in an Instagram video. “My friend said it looked like I was pointing to a bump or something, but I’m not. Leesa Evans (and I) have created a clothing line for all sizes and shapes at a chill price point. That was what I was trying to allude to, but thank you for thinking of my womb.”

In the caption to her Instagram video footage, the I Feel Pretty star reminded fans that pregnancy rumours are constantly swirling around her, adding: “I always have a bump alert!”

The blonde star hasn’t yet revealed any further details about her forthcoming clothing line, but fans can expect it to cater for all women as Amy has been an advocate of body positivity and fashion inclusivity for years, slamming Glamour magazine in 2016 for including her in a special ‘plus-size’ issue.

“I think there’s nothing wrong with being plus size,” she wrote on Instagram. “Beautiful healthy women. Plus size is considered size 16 in America. I go between a size 6 and an 8. @glamourmag put me in their plus size only issue without asking or letting me know and it doesn’t feel right to me.

“Young girls seeing my body type thinking that is plus size? What are your thoughts? Mine are not cool glamour not glamourous.”

Emily Ratajkowski is finally wearing an engagement ring, nearly five months after tying the knot.

The model-turned-actress, who has been wearing a simple gold band since she secretly wed music producer Sebastian Bear-McClard in February (18) after a whirlwind romance, took to Instagram on Wednesday night (11Jul18) to debut her bling.

In a captionless image of her newly-dressed hand, the two-stone sparkler, which includes one teardrop cut diamond and one princess cut diamond on a thin gold band, sits underneath her thick gold wedding ring. Husband Sebastian, 31, can be seen in the background smiling broadly.

The I Feel Pretty star then shared a selfie holding the new sparkler up to her face with a simple star emoji as the caption, and later, posted a close-up of the ring to her Instagram Stories.

Emily wed the producer at a secret courthouse ceremony in New York City.

In an interview with Jimmy Fallon in April, the 27-year-old revealed that Sebastian was forced to improvise when he asked her to marry him because he hadn’t bought a ring.

“He proposed to me at Minetta Tavern (a restaurant in New York) and he didn’t have a ring,” she shared during The Tonight Show. “He then took the paperclip that the bill was paid with and made me a ring, which I actually thought was really romantic.”

Emily, who designed her own collection of fine jewellery for luxury brand Spinelli Kilcollin in May, also confessed her wedding band was only supposed to be temporary.

“We walked into Chinatown and bought an ounce of gold and he was like, ‘We’ll melt down the gold and make the rings,'” she shared with Jimmy. “It was supposed to be temporary but I’m now growing attached to it and I don’t wanna get rid of it. I just feel like making it yourself, could it be more personal?”

Busy Philipps has assured fans her moles were not photoshopped out on her Health magazine cover shoot.

Busy excitedly shared a photo of the cover on her Instagram page, and thanked editors for including her in the issue.

The I Feel Pretty actress is seen posing in a red bikini in the snap, though some of her followers noted that a few of her distinctive moles looked like they had been airbrushed out.

“They didn’t and actually that was discussed,” Busy replied to a concerned fan. “The light was super bright which is why they look less dark, but they did NOT airbrush off my moles. Promise you. I can show you the pics from the monitor at the shoot — it’s truly just the bright light making them a little lighter.”

This isn’t the first time Busy has spoken about her moles, which are dotted over her face, neck and chest. In 2017, she revealed that while once working on a TV show, network bosses ordered for them all to be covered.

“Do you know that 1. That’s literally almost impossible? 2. Moles covered with make-up look WAY weirder than when they’re natural? 3. It’s super insulting cause it’s basically like saying, “we ALMOST think you’re pretty, if you just got rid of this major part of what you look like”??” the 38-year-old wrote on Instagram.

“So anyway, the make-up artist tried for like 3 days and then was like f**k it! And I guess it was fine.”

Emily Ratajkowski has designed a collection of fine jewellery for luxury brand Spinelli Kilcollin.

The American star found fame after appearing in Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines video in 2013 and has since gone on to walk the runway for the likes of Miu Miu and Marc Jacobs, as well as appear in movies such as Gone Girl and I Feel Pretty.

Previously, Emily has designed a handbag collection with The Kooples and launched swimwear brand Inamorata Swim, and she’s now tried her hand at jewellery design.

“To me, jewellery is all about having fun and feeling pretty,” she told Vogue.com of the collection, adding that her designs were inspired by mythological goddesses.

The seven-piece collection features the Adara Blanc Ring, which is composed of four linked rings in 18K yellow and rose gold with diamonds, and the Vesta Chain Necklace, an adjustable choker with multiple pave-set circular links and scattered bezel-set diamonds.

There are also two drop earring designs, such as the Lada Blanc Earrings, named for the Slavic Goddess of beauty and fertility, which feature double hoops with inverted diamonds and scattered bezel-settings.

When designing the EmRata x Spinelli Kilcollin line, Emily used a vintage ring from her own collection as a starting point and also imagined pieces that would be worn by a young royal who “likes to hit the town in jeans and decadent hoops.”

The star also wanted to ensure that her jewellery would complement a wide range of outfits.

“I’m a huge gold and diamond person. I’ll wear a diamond necklace with sweats or with a swimsuit on the beach,” the 26-year-old shared, going on to explain that she always tries to “mix classic fine jewellery with funkier pieces”.

The EmRata x Spinelli Kilcollin line is priced from $6,000 to $24,000 (£4,490 – £17,990).
