Vivica A. Fox “couldn’t pass up” the opportunity to reunite with Liam Hemsworth on crime thriller Arkansas.

The 55-year-old plays Her, the love interest of Vince Vaughn’s drug kingpin character Frog, in the new movie, and explained that the chance to team up once again with her Independence Day: Resurgence co-star was a no-brainer.

“The only thing that led to confusion was when I read the script. It came as an offer at first, and once I heard that it was a film with Liam Hemsworth and Vince Vaughn, I didn’t need to hear any more. I was like, ‘Liam and Vince Vaughn?’ and they’re like, ‘Yeah!’ So, I was like, ‘Absolutely!'” she laughed.

Fox told The Hollywood Reporter that she enjoyed working with Hemsworth so much on the 2016 sci-fi sequel, which was the follow-up to the 1996 classic Independence Day, that she jumped at the chance to star alongside him once again.

“It was a direct offer; I didn’t have to audition, and Liam and I had worked together on Independence Day: Resurgence. So, getting the chance to work with him again was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up,” Fox explained.

Elsewhere in the interview, she revealed she considers herself and Jackie Brown star Pam Grier as some of the original action heroines.

“We were original with it. We came first, but that’s what we’re supposed to do. For me, Pam Grier was that original, kicka*s, bad chick. So, the fact that I can pass that baton to the generation next to me is cool, and they’re even bigger and badder,” she quipped.

Will Smith has teamed up with Moncler for his first-ever fashion campaign.

The Independence Day actor has been tapped by executives at the Italian brand to front their Genius Is Born Crazy campaign, and in the first image, shot by photographer Tim Walker, the 50-year-old can be seen levitating in a seated position while wearing a red Moncler down parka, white T-shirt and silver trousers.

“When I got the call from @Moncler that they wanted me to be THE FACE of a FASHION campaign I was like… ‘These jokaz must be CRAZY (sic),'” Will shared on Instagram. “I’ve always dug their gear. So I listened to their ideas. Then I was like… ‘That might be GENIUS.’ I started pondering the Relationship between Crazy & Genius and I got more & more intrigued. Real Dreamers ALWAYS get called Crazy! I started to wonder… ‘Are Geniuses born Crazy?! Or can we all get some? 🙂 #GENIUSISBORNCRAZY (sic).”

The star also shared the campaign image and video on his Instagram account as well as behind-the-scenes footage from the photoshoot, which showed him walking about backstage in a variety of different outfits, joking around with the crew and his daughter Willow Smith, and getting pampered as he sits cross-legged on a high stool, which has been edited out for the finished image.

“I believe in the power of crazy, and I always give a chance to a crazy dream,” said Moncler chief executive officer Remo Ruffini in a statement. “The magic often happens somewhere beyond the ordinary, in the exploration of new horizons that only (a) few see, before others follow. Long live the craziest intuitions when rigor and dedication are there to make them happen.

“It’s an honour to have Will Smith, in his first advertising fashion campaign, embracing our ‘crazy’ idea to celebrate the genius hidden within everyone.”

Will Smith: ‘Taking over Aladdin’s Genie from Robin Williams was terrifying’

Will Smith was nervous to take on the role of the Genie in Disney’s live-action Aladdin reboot because the late Robin Williams’ animated performance is so “iconic”.

Beloved comedian Robin delighted fans as the wise-cracking magical being in the 1992 original, so when Will was approached to bring the character to life onscreen in director Guy Ritchie’s new project, he knew it would be a daunting task.

“Whenever you’re doing things that are iconic, it’s always terrifying,” he tells Entertainment Weekly. “The question is always, ‘Where was there meat left on the bone?,’ and with the Robin Williams character, Robin didn’t leave a lot of meat on the bone.”

However, instead of trying to mimic the tragic funnyman onscreen, Will decided to inject some of his hip-hop style into his take on the Genie to make it his own.

“For me, the first aspect was it was live action, so that meant it would look and feel really different, so I was encouraged by that,” the actor shares. “And secondarily, after I watched the (animated) movie a few times, I saw where Robin Williams infused the character with a timeless version of himself, so I said to myself, ‘What if I just infuse the character with a timeless version of myself?’ And then that opened up for me… hip-hop, it opened up fashion.

“Because the Genie is timeless, you get to really say and do anything, so I started to feel confident that I could deliver something that was an homage to Robin Williams but was musically different and just the flavour of the character would be different enough and unique enough that it would be in a different lane versus trying to compete.”

And Will believes fans will enjoy his modern interpretation of the wish-granting character, because it speaks to the influence of hip-hop culture in today’s mainstream entertainment.

“The thing that will be the major addition from me playing the Genie is the hip-hop base. I think that’ll be fun for people,” he says. “I think it’ll stand out as unique even in the Disney world. There hasn’t been a lot of that hip-hop flavour in Disney history!”

Aladdin, which also stars Mena Massoud as the titular vagrant-turned-prince, and Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine, opens in May (19).

Ethan Hawke will forever regret throwing the Independence Day script out the window and turning down a lead role in the blockbuster.

The Training Day star passed on director Roland Emmerich’s 1996 sci-fi movie while he was on a road trip from Texas to New York, admitting he thought the screenplay was garbage and the film would never be a hit in theatres.

“I’m driving cross-country with a friend of mine,” he recalled during an appearance on Conan O’Brien’s late-night chat show. “I got the script to Independence Day, and there’s like dollar bills attached to it. And I’m reading it to my buddy in the car like, ‘Isn’t this a bad line? E.T. phone home… that’s stupid’. And I’m going through it (script) to the point where I literally throw it out onto the Texas highway.”

Will Smith took Ethan’s place as Captain Steven Hiller in Independence Day, which was a box office smash with worldwide earnings of over $817 million (£565 million).

And Ethan was in for a big surprise when he actually went to see the film in theatres with a group of friends, admitting he now regrets his decision to roadkill the script.

“Everyone wants to go see Independence Day and I’m like, ‘Alright, this’ll be amusing to see how bad it is!’” the 47 year old shared. “I walk into the theatre, it’s obviously sold out. Will Smith says, ‘E.T. phone home…,’ and the place roars. I mean they basically give a standing ovation in the movie. And I’m sitting there going, ‘Oh my God’. I really didn’t get the joke!”

Will Smith and Kevin Hart have made a pact to co-star in a new movie together within the next year.

The Independence Day superstar took to Instagram on Friday (06Jul18) to share a birthday message for the comedian as he turned 39, and accompanied the post with video footage of Will crashing Kevin’s red carpet interview with a reporter for news show Access Hollywood at CinemaCon in 2016.

“Happy Bday, Kev!” Will wrote in the caption. “@lizhernandez needs to interview us for a REAL MOVIE! What’s Up, Sun?!? Before your next bday, Let’s make a movie! @kevinhart4real (sic)”.

The Ride Along funnyman has since responded to the idea, and he’s all for a Will Smith collaboration.

“Done and done!!!!!,” he replied in the comments section. “Let’s gooooooooooo (sic)”.

Will wasn’t the only celebrity pal to wish Kevin a happy birthday – Dwayne Johnson and their Central Intelligence director, Rawson Thurber, teamed up to send a hilarious video message to Hart, who they jokingly insulted throughout the post.

“Kevin, I’ve never liked you, and Dwayne carried you in your last two movies, literally…” Rawson began the Instagram clip, referencing the two actors’ 2016 action comedy and their most recent onscreen team up in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

The friendly teasing continued in the footage, while in the caption, Dwayne added, “Happy Birthday @kevinhart4real from the only two real friends you have. @rawsonthurber, the man who directed the best performance of your career in CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE and the big, brown, bald tattooed man who you will always refer to simply as DADDY.

“We love ya brotha (sic). Happy Birthday. Go f**k yourself.”

“I f**king love u (sic) guys!!!!” Kevin responded, before quipping, “A**hole”, as Rawson made it clear their traded insults were all in jest.

“@kevinhart4real Miss ya buddy! Nothing but love,” he wrote. “Have a great one!”

Hart celebrated his birthday with a big club bash at Drai’s Nightclub in Las Vegas on Friday, when he was joined by his wife Eniko and surprise guests like rapper Nelly, while singer Trey Songz performed for the crowd.

Jessica Alba is struggling to lose her baby weight following the birth of her third child.

The actress and entrepreneur and her husband Cash Warren are parents to daughters Honor, 10, and Haven, six, as well as son Hayes, who was born in late December (17).

While Jessica appears to be back to her usual slim physique, she took to Instagram Stories on Wednesday (04Jul18) to share a photo of her in the gym and explained that she still had 15 pounds (six kilograms) to shed in order to return to her pre-pregnancy weight.

“Still got 15 lbs to go – this is my most challenging considering I didn’t gain as much w (with) Hayes… 6 months postpartum,” she captioned the post, in which she posed in a blue top and matching leggings. Jessica added the flexed arm and sweat emojis as well as the words “got it in” to her post.

It appears the Fantastic Four actress decided to get in a quick gym session prior to celebrating U.S. Independence Day with her family. The 37-year-old also uploaded a snap of her enjoying a cocktail as well as a patriotic photo of her and her children watching a fireworks display on a beach.

Previously, Jessica discussed how she made the decision to adopt a healthy diet following the birth of her first child. However, she also admitted that she wasn’t as on top of her workout routine as she’d like to be.

“I’m going to try and be a little bit more consistent with my fitness because I’m really inconsistent,” she stated at a recent conference in Hong Kong. “I think with trying new things it’s (all about) baby steps. I know what I’m going to be able to stick to, realistically. And I think if you go to (an) extreme, (you) wouldn’t do well. If I had to be vegan and work out seven days a week, for example, and drink two litres of water a day and whatever else there is, I wouldn’t be able to do that.”
