Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos have confirmed they are pressing pause on the Peter Pilotto brand.

Earlier this week, editors at WWD published a report suggesting the designer duo, who co-founded the London-based label in 2007, were taking a break from the company.

And on Thursday, the pair issued a statement confirming the news was true.

“After 12 exhilarating years of collaboration, Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos have decided to take a break and pause their eponymous brand Peter Pilotto,” a statement posted on the brand’s Instagram page read. “During the imminent break, Peter and Christopher will reassess all aspects of the future of the brand, it’s (sic) structure, business model and operations.

“Commenting, Peter and Christopher said, ‘We have loved working together and love what we have created with Peter Pilotto. The brand is a true blend of our passions and creativity, but we need time to pause and rethink before we explore our next steps in this rapidly changing world. We are excited about our next phase, whether separately or jointly.'”

In the caption, the pair also thanked fans of the label for their support and praised their investors for confirming that they will continue to own the brand.

Mad Men star January Jones offered up her support in the caption, writing, “(Love) U both! And excited to see what’s next!” while Blue Crush actress Kate Bosworth posted a series of heart emojis.

According to WWD, the duo recently filed paperwork to have the brand’s holding company, Pilotto De Vos Ltd., removed from the Companies House database, the official register of U.K. businesses, which means it will cease to exist.

Members from the Peter Pilotto design team were reportedly laid off late last year and a pop-up shop, which was due to remain open in London’s Mayfair district until May, has closed. The designers didn’t present a fall/winter 2020 runway show this month.

January Jones prefers to have company when she’s exercising because it stops her from “getting lazy”.

The Mad Men actress first got a taste of Pilates by taking private lessons, but following a recommendation from a friend, she tried out Lagree Pilates classes and hasn’t looked back, as she has discovered she needs to be motivated by others.

“There are 10 of us in the class, and I like having women on both sides of me to push me. When I did the private Pilates lessons a couple of years ago, I just saw myself getting lazy with it because there wasn’t that drive for competition,” January told Shape magazine. “For me, that’s what’s motivating. If there’s someone strong next to me, I definitely want to up my game. I find myself looking forward to it more than I’ve ever looked forward to a workout.”

Lagree Pilates is a full-body conditioning workout that combines strength, endurance, cardio, balance, core, and flexibility training. The 42-year-old has been going to classes two to four times a week for the past year and she has already noticed a difference.

“Lagree is quite difficult, but I’ve found that it’s the only thing that really makes me feel stronger, and I’m loving it. The music is good and there’s always a different routine, so it doesn’t get boring,” she shared. “I’ve gained weight because I’ve put on muscle. I’ve gone up a size in clothes, but I feel like I look better naked.”

Elsewhere in the interview, January confessed that she used to lie to her personal trainers for 2011 movie X-Men: First Class and tell them she had been working out in her hotel room when she was actually watching TV and ordering room service.

January Jones used to lie to her X-Men: First Class personal trainer about the amount of exercise she was doing.

The actress starred as Emma Frost in Matthew Vaughn’s 2011 mutant movie and was given a trainer on set to help her stay in shape during filming.

However, January admitted during an interview with Shape magazine that she used to lie to her fitness coach to avoid having to complete intense workout regimes.

“When I was filming X-Men, they had trainers for all of us. I would lie and say I was exercising in my hotel room, when actually I was watching Friends and having full tea service,” she laughed.

The Mad Men star also explained that her father was a personal trainer and her family used to rebel when he pushed them to exercise.

“My dad was a trainer, so in my 20s and 30s, I didn’t work out, because he was always pushing my sisters, my mom, and me to exercise. We would rebel and not do it,” the 42-year-old shared. “It’s not that I wasn’t active… But on a regular basis, I wouldn’t work out, ever.”

But after having her son Xander in September 2011, January’s entire mindset about working out changed.

“After I had my son, Xander, I wanted to feel strong because my body had changed so much,” she explained. “As he got bigger and I was hauling around a 20- or 30-pound toddler, my lower back gave out and I saw my shoulders starting to curl and hunch. I wanted to do something for my posture and core strength.”

January took up barre classes two or three years ago and has been doing Lagree Pilates two to four times a week for the past year, and she has noticed the difference, with her adding, “I’ve gained weight because I’ve put on muscle. I’ve gone up a size in clothes, but I feel like I look better naked.”

January Jones has teamed up with apparel brand Pair of Thieves for a capsule collection of intimates.

The Mad Men star announced the collaboration on Wednesday by sharing racy snaps of her modelling items from the six-piece line on Instagram as well as a cheeky video which sees her transform from a cosy outfit into an all-black look complete with fishnet socks.

“I designed a special collection of intimates with my friends at @pairofthieves ‘to take you from a cozy cabin to the pole, and everywhere in BUTTWEEN’ avail on their website (sic)!!” the 42-year-old wrote in the caption.

The two-time Golden Globe nominee also joked in a statement accompanying news of the collection that it was “perfectly fitting for all occasions: from crosswords to safewords.”

January’s Cozy Collection, which was inspired by “old school long johns”, is a comfortable line of loungewear, featuring cotton socks, waffle boxers and a matching tank top, while her Sleek Peek Collection includes racier intimates, such as a black bralette, matching bike shorts and knee-high fishnet socks.

In the pictures for her Pair of Thieves capsule, she channels her Mad Men character Betty Draper for the ’50s-style shots, posing in pieces from the Sleek Peek line while talking on a vintage red phone and surrounded by matching red furniture.

Prices for the January Jones x Pair of Thieves collection range from $20 (£15) to $35 (£27) and is available to buy on pairofthieves.com.

Mad Men co-stars January Jones and Kiernan Shipka have reunited for Rodarte’s new lookbook.

The actresses, who played mother-daughter duo Betty and Sally Draper on the hit TV series, which ran from 2007 until 2015, have been tapped by designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy to appear in the spring/summer 2020 campaign for their fashion label.

Posing in front of a painted landscape background, one portrait shows January and Kiernan standing side-by-side while sporting strapless silk floral gowns and with white pearls dotted throughout their hair, while another sees them posing in dramatic ballgowns.

Taking to Instagram to upload the images, January wrote alongside one of the snaps, “Casual family portraits are so back in.”

And the photographs caught the attention of the pair’s former Mad Men co-stars, with Christina Hendricks, who played Joan Holloway, noting, “When was this?!! So dreeeeeeemy (sic),” and Alison Brie, who portrayed Trudy Campbell, posting, “HOLY. S**T.”

However, January and Kiernan aren’t the only celebrities to appear in Rodarte’s latest imagery, with actresses Kirsten Dunst, Margaret Qualley, Gabrielle Union, Lili Reinhart, Helena Howard, Rowan Blanchard, and Yalitza Aparicio, as well as Haim musicians Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim, rapper Kilo Kish, and singer-songwriter King Princess also featuring.

The photoshoot was helmed by photographer Daria Kobayashi Ritch and styled by Shirley Kurata and Ashley Furnival. Regarding the decision to unveil portraits rather than a runway presentation, Laura told Vogue that they wanted to merge their interests in fashion and art.

“As we’ve become more confident and comfortable in our design voice and really seeing what our personality is within the design world, it’s been really nice to think artistically about creating a world behind each collection,” she shared.

The Academy Award-winning actress made her debut in the eighth instalment of the action franchise, 2017’s The Fate of the Furious, in which she played Cipher, a criminal mastermind and cyberterrorist who coerces Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) into working against his team by holding Elena Neves (Elsa Pataky) and their son hostage.

For her part in the movie, Charlize sported platinum blonde locks which were styled into twisted braids, but on Monday, she took to Instagram to upload a snap of Cipher’s new hairdo – a short brunette crop with honey blonde highlights.

“She’s baaaaack #Fast9,” she captioned two snaps from the set of the film.

Charlize, 44, didn’t share any further details about her latest transformation, however, her longtime hairstylist Adir Abergel uploaded a post in which he explained that the bowl cut was influenced by “early images” of 1990s supermodels Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford by photographer Peter Lindbergh.

“I always feel so blessed collaborating with this insanely talented human @charlizeafrica. I was inspired by early images of Linda Evangelista shot by @therealpeterlindbergh. It took some rad people to make this one come to life,” the hair expert captioned a picture of Charlize, before adding a vintage photo of Linda and Cindy and writing: “I was inspired by Linda Evangelista and Peter Lindbergh early ’90s vibes for Charlize’s new hair look. This image of @lindaevangelista@cindycrawford has been in my brain for a long time.”

A number of Charlize’s celebrity followers were quick to praise her bold new look too, with Lily Collins writing in the comments section, “Love this!!” and January Jones adding, “This hair is next level good. But would only look good on you.”

Fast & Furious 9, also starring Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, John Cena, and Helen Mirren, is due to hit cinemas in May 2020.

Brandon Maxwell has shared an emotional post following his mother’s cancer diagnosis.

The Texas-born fashion designer often speaks about the women in his family, and has cast his grandmother Louise Johnson as the face of his fall 2018 campaign, and named a dusty pink lipstick after his mum Pam Woolley in his new MAC make-up collection.

However, Brandon has now taken to Instagram to explain that Pam is battling cancer and that he will be doing all he can to support her.

“On a phone call last week, the woman that gave me life calmly and bravely explained that we would now be embarking on the journey to fight for hers,” he captioned a black and white snap of him walking with his mother on a beach. “As only a selfless and strong mother like she can, she took that moment to assure me that WE WILL be ok. I believe that to be true.”

Brandon did not describe what kind of cancer Pam had been diagnosed with. Though he did note that he was thankful for the kind words sent to him from family and friends and hoped to use his platform to encourage others to get checked out if they noticed any changes in their bodies.

“I tell you this tonight for two reasons. One, because selfishly I ask that you lift her up in your prayers, keep her in your thoughts, send her strength, or all of the above as she starts her journey, beginning with her surgery tomorrow morning. To give her the strength to fight and win as she has done so many times for me in this precious life. And two, because facing health issues is scary. If you have someone in your life that you think needs an examination or even feels the slightest bit off, encourage them to get checked, early detection is so important,” the 34-year-old added.

A number of Brandon’s celebrity friends commented on the post, with model Joan Smalls writing, “This broke my heart. I’m so saddened by the news and my prayers will be with you and your family,” while actress January Jones added: “Praying for her tonight that step one is a success tomorrow.”

January Jones has posted a topless selfie to social media to promote breast cancer awareness.

The former Mad Men actress took to Instagram on Wednesday (03Oct18) to upload a mirror selfie showing her posing in the nude with one arm covering her breasts and with a scarecrow filter over her face.

In the accompanying caption, January explained that she chose to share the photo to draw attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month and footwear designer Tamara Mellon’s offer of a free mammogram service.

“It’s breast cancer awareness month gals and guys!” the 40-year-old wrote. “This is a friendly reminder to get a mammogram! @tamaramellon is offering FREE mammograms regardless of insurance status next wk (week) in a mobile RV in Los Angeles! Oct 8, 9, 10th! Sign up at link in bio! #LoveYourMellons.”

However, January isn’t the only celebrity to advocate for breast health of late. Tennis ace Serena Williams recently stripped down for a cover she recorded of Divinyl’s 1990 hit I Touch Myself and in the accompanying imagery for lingerie company Berlei Australia she reminded women to self-check for cancer signs regularly.

“Yes, this put me out of my comfort zone, but I wanted to do it because it’s an issue that affects all women of all colours, all around the world. Early detection is key – it saves so many lives. I just hope this helps to remind women of that,” the athlete wrote on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Keeping Up with the Kardashians personality Kris Jenner shared an image of her at a doctor’s appointment in August and called on her followers to get regular mammograms.

“My mom MJ is a breast cancer survivor and so are dozens of my friends,” she said, referring to her mother Mary Jo Campbell. “Do this in honour of your loved ones I know all of us have someone in our lives who have dealt with cancer. Love you guys!!!”

A mammogram is an X-ray of the breast that looks for changes that may be signs of breast cancer. The American Cancer Society recommends women should begin annual breast cancer screening from the age of 40.
