Hailey Bieber and Adut Akech have been tapped to star in Miu Miu’s fall/winter 2019 campaign.

The top models front the Italian fashion label’s latest marketing imagery, which was shot at the Paws Up ranch in the Montana state countryside by photographer Eddie Wrey and directed by stylist Katie Grand.

One shot sees Hailey and Adut pose in floral print dresses with furry scarves and clutch leather handbags, while another close-up snap depicts them standing together in a grassy paddock.

Regarding the concept behind the shoot, a Miu Miu representative commented that the idea was to capture “an exploration of youth and the great outdoors”.

“It is a universal landscape of open skies, wide horizons, infinite possibilities – of idyllic landscapes and elysian fields, of immersion in nature and strength in numbers,” they stated. “Camouflaged in camouflage, laid against rural panoramas of field and forest illuminated by the first blush of summer, these pictures express a yearning for escape, a turn to the natural, a freedom.”

Among the other models to appear in the photoshoot, which is set in the golden hour, are Jean Campbell, Abby Champion, Tang He, Meghan Roche, and Aliet Sarah.

Group shots see the models standing in a shallow river and sporting retro print floral dresses as well as sitting together in a field while outfitted in party dresses and costume jewellery.

“The spirit of this band of women, of their shared stories and relationships, is expressed through pictures composed like spontaneous snapshots, capturing intimate moments of bonding, of connections forged, charting an ever-evolving quest. They are a community at one, in turn communing with Mother Nature. Their confidence, their sovereignty – is at the fore,” the representative added.

Kendall Jenner stars alongside Willow Smith, Yang Mi, and Jean Campbell in Stuart Weitzman’s new Nudist campaign.

The 23-year-old model shows off her enviably long legs in the campaign shot, which shows all the women wearing silk slip dresses in different shades and strappy Weitzman sandals in hues which match their skin tones.

The image is one of the first Weitzman campaigns to be in colour, as the brand has long been famous for shooting their promotional images in black and white. The shots and video featuring Kendall and company will be released in four parts over a period of six months, as a “multimedia project”.

It’s hoped that the push for the Nudist collection will help promote the shoes ahead of a spring season in which the “nude sandal” is expected to be one of the biggest trends.

The new campaign is a sign of things to come at Weitzman, and is reflective of the brand’s hope to promote diversity. The Nudist collection will soon come in seven different colour variations of nude, and different heel heights, to cater to a wider range of customers.

Eraldo Poletto stepped in as chief executive officer of Weitzman in April 2018, while Edmundo Castillo joined the brand as head of design later that year.

And looking forward, the pair is hopeful they can return Weitzman to its “core values,” such as femininity, comfort, and craftsmanship.

“There are not many American brands in shoes. The visibility is very American, very practical and dynamic with a European aesthetic and attention to quality and craftsmanship,” Poletto told WWD. “Comfort is a key asset, and I think these are true elements of a recipe for something very modern and contemporary – we have leveraged that.

“I think it’s about the product… We are experts in boots and sandals, and we need to be leveraging everything in between the two.”
