Kate Upton and her husband Justin Verlander have announced plans to donate his weekly pay cheques to organisations helping those in need during the coronavirus pandemic.

In a video posted on both their Instagram pages over the weekend, the model and the baseball player revealed he would be receiving weekly paycheques from Major League Baseball (MLB) bosses while the sports season is suspended and they would be donating that income to a different organisation every week.

“Hey everyone, so I just found out MLB is going to be providing us a paycheque for the next couple of months,” he said, before noting that it is a difficult time for those in need and adding, “We have decided to donate that paycheque.”

“Yes, we’re going to pick an organisation every week who’s doing really good work right now and donate the entire week’s paycheque to that organisation,” Kate continued. “We’ll also be highlighting the organisation that we choose so that everyone can see the amazing work they’re doing right now.”

In the lengthy caption to his video, the sportsman wrote, “Everyone around the world is affected by this virus, and we hope to contribute to the families and jobs affected, the healthcare workers and first responders on the front lines and the many others in need of basic necessities, medical supplies, and support at home.

“We know everyone is impacted by this crisis, but for those who are able, we encourage you to stay home to help flatten the curve and look to those around you who need a helping hand.”

Many fashion brands and designers have made donations to aid coronavirus relief efforts, while Victoria Beckham recently announced she would be donating a percentage of sales of her clothing and beauty lines to food bank organisations in the U.K. and U.S.

Kate Upton has no plans to expand her brood with more children just yet.

The model/actress welcomed daughter Genevieve Upton Verlander with husband Justin Verlander back in 2018, and has spoken openly about the pressures she feels being a new mum.

And in a chat with U.S. TV show Extra, Kate insisted giving her 15-month-old a sibling was nowhere near the top of her list of priorities.

“Oh, no, no,” she said, when asked about her plans for her family.

Gushing over Genevieve, the 27-year-old added: “She’s really growing into her own personality; she’s not a baby anymore, she’s really becoming a toddler. You see her personality growing and it’s just one of the most amazing experiences… I’m so excited.”

And Kate stressed she was prioritising self-care alongside her parenting duties, admitting she loves nothing more than to “sit outside, be outside for a second without the chaos while the baby’s napping, and just be able to collect your thoughts and don’t get so caught up.”

“It’s so easy to be like, ‘Now I got to do this, and this,’ and always feel busy and not really stop and enjoy those moments,” the blonde beauty reflected.

Kate Upton has slammed the societal pressures placed on women to “snap back” after giving birth.

The model, who welcomed daughter Genevieve with her husband Justin Verlander in November 2018, recently discussed new motherhood in an interview with Editorialist and admitted that “breastfeeding was sucking the energy away” from her at one point.

But taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Kate uploaded a throwback snap of herself breastfeeding her baby, and in the accompanying caption, clarified the context of her comments.

“When asked about getting back in shape after pregnancy I discussed the major pressures that are out there for new moms to ‘snap back’ right after having a baby. Every woman experiences this due to the unnecessary and unrealistic expectations that are brought into every household, mostly via social media. I certainly felt these pressures, as all women do,” she wrote. “I tried to push myself early to get back to the gym, eat perfectly and try to achieve this alleged ‘snap back’. But, after realising how ridiculous these pressures are, I quickly gave myself some slack and lived in the moment as a new mother. Every woman needs to give their body time to heal and to soak in those early, precious moments.”

Kate went on to explain that while juggling parenting along with lack of sleep and hormone changes, she quickly learned to brush off the “extremely unnecessary” weight loss pressures.

And going forward, the star would advise mums to try and avoid being swayed by others’ views.

“Every mother’s experience is different with every baby. I’ve learned everyone’s journey is extremely personal and no two are the same. My energy was drained but my heart was extremely full, and I decided to not let others’ opinions and expectations get in the way of my own personal timeline. In my opinion, enjoy the moments with your new baby and growing family, allow your body time to heal and make sure to go at your own pace,” the 27-year-old added.

Kate Upton felt “so much pressure” when she first started breastfeeding her daughter.

The Sports Illustrated model, who welcomed Genevieve in November 2018 with baseball player husband Justin Verlander, has admitted in a new interview that she found being a new mother overwhelming.

The 27-year-old shared her struggles in a cover story for Editorialist magazine, revealing that she felt “so much pressure” as a first-time mother “to be doing all these things, like breastfeeding on the go.”

“The reality, for me, was that breastfeeding was sucking the energy away from me. I realised I needed to calm down, to allow my body to recover,” Kate added.

Despite the difficulties, she insisted motherhood has changed her for the better and has made it a priority to focus on her daughter and limit the amount of time she and husband Justin spend on their phones.

“Having VeVe changed my life in such a wonderful way,” she explained. “I think my husband wants me to throw my phone away. We talk about it in the house all the time: ‘Let’s have a phone-free dinner.’ I want to be enjoying my life, enjoying my family, not constantly trying to take the perfect picture.”

Elsewhere in the interview, The Other Woman star also shared her passion to become a “positive influence” in the modelling industry and do more than just “playing dress up”.

“There’s definitely movement toward being more inclusive, representing a more diverse model, and not having a definition of what a model is anymore,” Kate stated. “But obviously, there’s a lot more that needs to be done.”

Kate Upton has proudly achieved her first Jiu-Jitsu white belt.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the model/actress shared a photo of the moment she received the first stripe on her white belt from her instructor at Houston’s Elite MMA.

Jiu-Jitsu is a Japanese martial art which involves manipulating your opponent’s force against themselves in close combat.

“I get a lot of belts for free but this one I earned!” she captioned the post.

According to a post on the academy’s Instagram page, the accolade came after “months” of training.

Kate’s instructor, “Coach J,” also shared the photo and took the opportunity to praise the 27-year-old’s commitment to the martial art.

“I am very proud and honoured to have @kateupton as a student. She is one of the hardest workers in the room, expects nothing but gives everything in every training session. From rolling 10 hard rds to sparring Muay Thai for an hour she is the definition of a fighter. Congratulations on your first stripe,” he commented.

Kate, who shares a 12-month-old daughter named Genevieve with her sportsman husband Justin Verlander, joins a growing list of celebrities who have hit the Jiu-Jitsu mat, including Tom Hardy, Ed O’Neill, Ashton Kutcher, and Keanu Reeves.

Kate Upton was left hurt and confused when critics described her as “fat” in the early days of her career.

The model remains one of the most sought-after names in the fashion industry, having previously landed campaigns for the likes of Victoria’s Secret, Bobbi Brown, and David Yurman.

However, in a recent interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Kate opened up about how baffled she was when people criticised her famously curvy figure when she was starting out in the business.

“When it was first happening, obviously it was really hard ’cause I was like, ‘I work out all the time, why is everyone calling me fat?'” she reflected.

But Kate went on to explain that she has noticed a major shift towards inclusivity by fashion leaders in recent years.

“Now, the conversation has completely changed. People are like, ‘What when did people say that?’ And that shows how the industry is changing, our voice matters, and things can change – we mean something.”

Elsewhere in the chat, Kate spoke about her decision to pose in an unretouched photoshoot for the September 2019 issue of Health magazine, and she noted that it was particularly important for her to show her real body, especially as she welcomed daughter Genevieve with her husband Justin Verlander just under a year ago.

“We’re on Instagram all the time – we see people Photoshopping everything. (I’m like), ‘When does it end?’ When you’re scrolling on Instagram, you constantly compare yourself to these other people. And for me, I wanted to take a step back and show a real moment of someone who actually six months postpartum, not being Photoshopped, and be that real person and real influence for other people,” the 27-year-old asserted.

Shanina Shaik has hit back after she was slammed by some of her followers for sharing a nude snap to mark International Women’s Day.

The 28-year-old model posted the sexy snap on Instagram to mark the occasion on Friday (08Mar19) and wrote alongside it: “Here’s to strong women. May we know them, may we be them, may we raise them. #internationalwomensday.”

However, many people were unimpressed with Shanina’s decision to shed her clothes for the image, with one writing: “Nothing like taking advantage of women’s day to promote yourself. Shame on you.”

Another commented: “Stripping doesn’t make you strong happy women’s day to all the women who know what real strength is.”

But the Victoria’s Secret beauty was quick to respond to the criticism, insisting: “This is simply capturing a beautiful image of a raw woman’s body. Where is stripping? And shouldn’t we uplift women on international women’s day?”

And in response to another person who suggested the image was too “sexual” for International Women’s Day, Shanina wrote: “I understand clothes or no clothes it’s nothing to harm or pushing in a sexual manner.”

Shanina was just one of hundreds of models worldwide who took to social media to celebrate the special day. Kate Upton posted a picture of herself breastfeeding four-month-old daughter Genevieve, who she shares with husband Justin Verlander, and wrote: “Will cherish these moments forever. can’t imagine a greater superpower! #internationalwomensday.”

Kate also shared a throwback picture from her pregnancy, alongside a quote she wants to teach Genevieve about.

“A world without sexism would be a world where hard work, merit and qualifications are put before gender. True partnerships would be present rather than the constrictions of traditional roles,” the quote read. “Instead of being put in a box, everyone is on an even playing field and therefore benefits. This is the world in which I want my daughter to thrive.”

Kate Upton is making an early New Year’s resolution to lose her baby weight.

The model and actress welcomed daughter Genevieve Upton Verlander, her child with baseball player husband Justin Verlander, on 7 November (18), and the Sports Illustrated regular has now opened up to fans and followers on Instagram about her post-baby figure.

Sharing a snap of herself carrying her daughter while posing on a beach boardwalk, Kate wrote: “Getting in a little cardio with a family beach walk. I’m not going to lie to you and tell you I’ve been working out and eating healthy. It’s so hard over the holidays. Traveling and enjoying time with my family

“I’m trying not to get down on myself. Instead use it as motivation to get right back at it!” the 26-year-old added. “I have a long way to go to lose this baby weight but feeling determined for 2019!”

The fashion star, who has previously starred in campaigns for brands such as Victoria’s Secret and Guess, was able to stay fit throughout her pregnancy thanks to a training programme she created with her trainer Ben Bruno called Strong4me. And since becoming a mum, Kate has continued to follow the workouts without even having to set foot in a gym.

“Feeling sweaty but motivated!” she wrote alongside a snap of her working out in her living room earlier this month (Dec). “So glad I can start my #fitnessjourney to get strong again right in my living room. My baby girl can sleep while I fit in a quick 30 min (minute) workout!”

Kate Upton has given birth to a baby girl.

The model and actress took to Instagram on Saturday (10Nov18) to announce the arrival of her daughter Genevieve Upton Verlander with a black and white snap, just days after celebrating her first wedding anniversary with husband Justin Verlander.

“Genevieve Upton Verlander 11.7.18,” she captioned the sweet photo, revealing the newborn had arrived on 7 November.

Proud dad Justin also shared the same image on his Instagram page, and wrote: “Welcome to the world Genevieve Upton Verlander. You stole my (heart emoji) the first second I met you!!! 11.7.2018.”

Kate and baseball player Justin, who pitches for the Houston Astros, announced their baby news in July via a social media post which showed off the 26-year-old’s growing belly.

“#PregnantinMiami @justinverlander,” she wrote alongside a picture of her posing in a stylish red suit.

The sportsman re-posted the same photo on his own Instagram and added a heartfelt message praising his wife.

“You’re going to be the most amazing Mom!!” Justin, 35, wrote. “I can’t wait to start this new journey with you! You’re the most thoughtful, loving, caring, and strong woman I’ve ever met! I’m so proud that our little one is going to be raised in this world by a woman like you! I love you so much.”

Genevieve is the first child for Kate and Justin, who married last November (17) in a beautiful ceremony in Italy, shortly after the Astros won the World Series over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

“I got to marry my best friend,” the star told Maxim in July. “He’s an amazing man. He’s so supportive and focused and motivated, and he inspires me every day. I’m so very lucky that he’s my husband.”

Pregnant Kate Upton has had to take a break from exercise because she’s been so tired.

The Sports Illustrated model and her husband Justin Verlander announced in July (18) that they are to become parents, with a sweet Instagram post showing off Kate’s baby bump.

The 26-year-old has since revealed she took a whole month off her normal fitness routine because she was tired from travelling so much.

“But I’ve been completely trying to stay healthy and work out through the pregnancy, and doing the best I can. It makes me feel better, honestly,” she told People, adding she has changed up her workouts to make them safe during pregnancy.

“What I’m working toward is different. Instead of working toward being super fit, I’m strengthening my pelvic (area) and doing a lot of hip thrusts, body-weight hip thrusts and lunges and squats to help with delivery and make it easier, hopefully. Fingers crossed.”

And while the mother-to-be, who recently launched a new at-home workout programme called Strong4MeFitness.com, has yet to experience any desire for strange foods, Houston Astros baseball player Justin is looking forward to the ups and downs of pregnancy.

“Justin was the most excited about weird cravings,” Kate laughed. “He kept being like, ‘I can’t wait for the pickle run in the middle of the night’. I’m like, ‘Okay.’ But I haven’t had anything. I’m fine with all food.”

Kate and Justin started dating in 2014, and wed in Italy in November (17).
