Pregnant Katy Perry was planning to pay homage to Madonna’s iconic cone bra with her look for the 2020 Met Gala.

The world of fashion and celebrity unite every year for the glamorous red carpet event, which takes place on the first Monday in May at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, however, the this year’s edition, which revolved around the About Time: Fashion and Duration theme, has been postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Stars usually spend months planning their showstopping outfits, and the Roar singer, who is a Met Gala regular, revealed on Instagram on Monday night that she was going to make a big fashion statement that involved her bump.

The 35-year-old, who is expecting her first child with fiance Orlando Bloom, gave fans an inside look at part of her ensemble hanging on a mannequin, revealing that she was going to wear a blush pink ribbed cone bra with matching bump cover.

“What would have been… #TheMetBall2020,” she wrote in the caption, adding a heartbroken emoji.

The outfit was a clear reference to the gold corset with cone bra that Jean Paul Gaultier created for Madonna’s Blonde Ambition tour in 1990. Katy didn’t confirm if the French designer made her Met Gala look too.

In a recent video interview with Access, she teased her outfit by saying, “I was gonna definitely show off the bump, for sure, but we’ll just be home!”

The popstar wasn’t the only one who took to social media to mark the occasion. Many celebrities looked back at some of their favourite Met Gala looks, while Julia Roberts donned a stunning black and white tiered tulle gown as she posed in front of a window for a snap on her Instagram page.

In the caption, she wrote: “Here’s me…not going to the Met Ball tonight. #stayhome #yesyoustillhavetostayhome.”

Ariana Grande used her time during self-isolation to reveal her natural curly locks on social media.

The No Tears to Cry hitmaker is famous for her trademark high ponytail, and if it isn’t slicked back on the top of her head, her waist-length brunette hair is usually styled poker straight.

However, as the Grammy winner stays at home amid the coronavirus lockdown, she took to Twitter and Instagram to wow fans with her real dark curls, which can be seen tumbling around her face and shoulders in the smouldering picture.

“Get a load a dis (sic),” Ariana captioned the snap.

Her curly locks are reminiscent of old childhood photos Ariana has previously shared with her fans, and her mother Joan chimed in with a sweet note of support for her daughter.

“Beyond stunning. Your natural hair/curls is a world of its own… a magnificent beauty you are inside and out/made up or natural … I love you…” she commented.

More than five million followers liked Ariana’s post on Instagram, and the Thank U, Next hitmaker’s famous friends showed their adoration for the singer’s natural hair.

“Here for this covid curl,” Katy Perry wrote, while Lil Nas X commented: “Beautiful.”

Jessie J and Zoey Deutch were also among the celebrities sharing the love on Ariana’s post, as well as designer Zac Posen and Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott, who wrote: “BEEEEEAAUUTY.”

Ariana previously removed her signature ponytail and showed off her long straight locks for the covers of U.S. Elle and British Vogue magazines back in 2018.

Orlando Bloom has honoured his son Flynn with a stylish new tattoo.

The Lord of the Rings actor, who shares the nine-year-old with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr, took to Instagram on Tuesday to unveil his latest piece of body art from tattooist Balazs Bercsenyi.

Fans were initially at a loss as to the meaning of the inking, which featured a series of dots, dashes, and a series of seemingly random numbers on his forearm.

However, Orlando quickly revealed the inspiration for the tattoo, responding to one user, ‘It’s Flynn in MORSE CODE and his dob (date of birth) and time (in numbers).”

Balazs also uploaded some snaps of the artwork, adding in the caption: “A beautiful reminder for @orlandobloom of his son Flynn.”

Orlando is no stranger to tattoos. He also has a depiction of the Elvish word for ‘nine’ in the Lord of the Rings books on his right wrist, a reference to his role as Legolas, one of the nine members of the Fellowship of the Ring, in the movies, as well as a tattoo of a sun symbol on his abdomen.

After parting ways with Australian supermodel Miranda in 2013, the 43-year-old began dating popstar Katy Perry in early 2016.

The pair got engaged last year, and even though they were rumoured to be marrying in December, a source told Us Weekly magazine that they decided to push back their nuptials so they could secure the right wedding venue.

Now, Rita is starring in the brand’s spring/summer 2020 marketing imagery, titled Magic Garden, with one snap showing her posing in a sheer lilac top while surrounded by wildflowers, and another depicting her modelling a bracelet with her name on it and a dragonfly necklace.

“Spring awakening creates the desire for something new,” she commented. “Have the courage to be yourself and make your look your message. A style is perfect when it perfectly matches your look!”

The Magic Garden line includes jewellery and watches, including hero pieces such as the hummingbird, kaleidoscope, and dragonfly designs. There are also butterfly pendants, a pair of earrings shaped like rainbows, and charms featuring feather motifs.

Orlando Bloom is fronting the new campaign for Boss’ eyewear collection.

The Lord of the Rings actor recently took to Instagram to announce his latest gig and share a slideshow of black-and-white snaps of the marketing imagery.

“Excited to share a sneak peak (sic) preview of my new eyewear campaign with @boss. Stay tuned for more to come… #BOSSeyewear,” he captioned the pictures.

One image shows Orlando holding a pair of black glasses up to his face, while another depicts him wearing a pair of glasses with square frames and gazing into the distance.

The star’s post quickly attracted thousands of likes from fans, as well as a comment from his fiancée Katy Perry, who simply wrote: “Last photo.”

Full campaign imagery is expected to drop shortly.

Previously, Orlando starred in the advertisements for the Boss Orange fragrance for men, with the debut campaign released all the way back in 2010.

“Boss Orange is a brand with which I immediately identify a sense of casual attitude and spontaneity,” he said at the time. “The new campaign makes sense for me and I am proud to represent the company. It has been really fun.”

Of late, One Direction singer Liam Payne has also starred in a Hugo Boss underwear campaign and Chinese actor Li Yifeng has just been announced as the face of the company’s 2020 Chinese New Year Capsule collection.

Katy Perry and Jessica Alba’s stylist has launched a new autumn and winter collection fans can rent for holiday parties.

Jamie Mizrahi, who also dresses actresses Ashley Benson and Riley Keough, has teamed up with clothing rental website Rent the Runway to create a capsule collection, titled Sweet Baby Jamie, for busy businesswomen and party girls.

The new line features outfits that are office-appropriate and party-ready, including velvet dresses, smart sweaters, and coats.

“For this first collection, my inspiration is my everyday dressing, just like things in my closet that I find and wear all the time,” Jamie told Entertainment Tonight. “I mix and rotate on a day-to-day basis. A pair of pants that I find that I’m wearing with all different tops and different sweaters.

“In my wardrobe, it’s really about quality, not quantity. I could wear the same sweater for a week in seven different ways, so being able to take staple pieces in my wardrobe and get a lot of different wear out of them, which is basically what you can do with the pieces in the collection, is really fun.”

Mizrahi’s 18-piece Rent the Runway collection is available for rental only.

The fashion guru, who also serves as the creative director of Juicy Couture, has given the looks a festive edge – with green and red hues as well as flirty patterns, including zebra and plaid.

Karlie Kloss was overcome with emotion when she saw her Christian Dior wedding dress for the first time.

The model has shared a special behind-the-scenes video looking back at the making of her custom gown to celebrate her first year of marriage with Joshua Kushner.

“364 days later, the making of my beautiful wedding dress youtube.com/klossy,” she wrote alongside a black-and-white snap of her dress on Instagram.

The long-sleeved, lace gown was designed by Dior’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri – with input from Karlie herself – and took more than 700 hours of work to complete.

“When I was a little girl, obviously I always liked the idea of having a fairy tale wedding, but I never imagined I would have the chance,” the 27-year-old said in the video.

The footage shows the intricate process of the dress design, from the initial sketches she received to the first fitting in Paris and the final one in New York.

Karlie and her mother are visibly emotional when they see the gown for the first time in Paris, with the former Victoria’s Secret Angel openly weeping as she finally sees herself in the dress, which was made from delicate lace and had a long train and veil.

The blonde beauty wed Joshua on 18 October last year, and wore two gowns for the intimate celebrations which took place in Upstate New York.

Karlie also revealed that she wore flat shoes for her nuptials, because she wanted to “dance the night away, and I feel most happy in flats”.

Back in June, the couple threw a huge star-studded party in Wyoming to celebrate their marriage, with guests including Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Mila Kunis, Derek Blasberg, and Diane von Furstenberg.

Fashion designer Misha Nonoo created her own wedding dress.

The U.S.-based designer, who is best known for her eponymous line of women’s ready-to-wear clothing and her friendship with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, tied the knot with oil heir Mikey Hess at Villa Aurelia in Rome, Italy on Friday.

When it came to selecting what to wear for her big day, Nonoo admitted to People that it was difficult making a gown for herself.

“It was really hard,” she said. “When I’m designing a piece, I’m usually thinking about every woman. It has to tick a lot of boxes. When you’re thinking about designing something that you’re going to wear for one day and you have to really only think about yourself, it’s different.

“Obviously, you want your husband to think you look beautiful and you want your respective families to as well, but otherwise you can do whatever you want – you can have short sleeves, long sleeves, high neck, low neck, open back, no back. It makes it much more challenging.”

However, in the end, Nonoo decided the best solution was to have two dresses.

“I like to design with a set of parameters. (It took some time) for me to come to what it was going to be in the end. I had some ideas initially. I knew I wanted it to be traditional. So, I’ve opted for two dresses, so I can tick both boxes!” the fashion star added.

Paparazzi photos showed Nonoo wearing a simple white dress as she arrived at the venue, while a delicate ivory grown with embellished floral details was seen being carried into the villa. No official photographs of the dresses have been released.

Nonoo and Hess exchanged vows in front of a star-studded crowd including Meghan and Prince Harry, Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner, and James Corden.

Grimes has shared details of her unusual fitness regime, which includes up to two hours of sword-fighting.

The Canadian singer-songwriter, who is the face of the Adidas x Stella McCartney campaign for fall/winter 2019, took to her Instagram on Monday to share details about her unorthodox routine, which also includes hours in a sensory deprivation tank and a screaming session.

“My training is a 360 approach. I first maintain a healthy cellular routine where I maximise the function of my mitochondria with supplements such as NAD+, Acetyl L-Carnitine, Magnesium, etc. This helps promote ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) and it’s incredibly visceral,” she wrote. “From that point, I spend two-four hours in my deprivation tank, this allows me to ‘astro-glide’ to other dimensions – past, present, and future. In the afternoons, I do a one-two hour sword fighting session with my trainer, James Lew, we go over the fundamentals that work the obliques, core stabilises, and triceps as well as a few tricks.”

And following that intense session, Grimes chooses to hike on an incline for an additional 30-45 minutes as means of “winding down” before spending time stretching.

She will then head into a studio where she takes part in “a screaming session for 20-25 minutes while I slow boil the honey tea that maximises vocal proficiency.”

In addition, Grimes claimed she had “eliminated all blue light” from her vision through experimental surgery in order to cure her seasonal depression, and she goes to sleep with a humidifier on.

Her quirky routine drew admiration from some of her fellow musicians.

Mushaboom singer Feist commented, “This is my favourite thing I’ve ever read on the Internet,” while Katy Perry wrote: “Humidifiers YAS.”

Katy Perry and her fiance Orlando Bloom are mixing business with pleasure as new investors in top apple cider vinegar brand Bragg Live Food Products.

The couple, which became engaged in February, has joined forces with three other parties to become the new owners of the health firm, which is based in Katy’s native Santa Barbara, California.

Longtime company CEO Patricia Bragg, 90, is actually a close family friend of Katy’s, and played a significant role in helping to nurture the youngster’s interest in music, while her family’s apple cider vinegar has continued to aid the 34-year-old in her singing career.

“Patricia has been part of my family forever, even giving me my first guitar,” the Firework hitmaker shares in a press release.

“My mother introduced me to Bragg products, and it’s been a staple since my childhood in Santa Barbara and continues to be a wellness remedy in my professional vocal career.”

Katy has also shared the news of her new venture on Instagram, posting a video of herself pouring a little apple cider vinegar into a glass of water and raising a toast.

“Cheers to @bragglivefoodproducts,” she captioned the clip. “Patricia Bragg gave me my first guitar at the age of 13 in Santa Barbara, and now @orlandobloom and I are so proud to be part of her next chapter.

“Just like the gift of music, the gift of health keeps on giving.”

Regular consumption of a little apple cider vinegar has long been touted as a natural health remedy, which can aid in weight loss, reduced blood sugar levels, cholesterol, and symptoms of diabetes.
