Blink-182 have raised more than $20,000 (£15,400) in aid of Australia’s bushfire relief efforts from sales of a line of charity merchandise.

The All the Small Things stars recently unveiled the new clothing items on social media, revealing they wanted to raise funds for the Australia Zoo in Queensland to treat injured wildlife after learning an estimated one billion animals have been killed in the devastating blazes to date.

“Australia is being ravaged by deadly fires, and we just feel so helpless,” they tweeted. “We put out a new merch line + donating all proceeds to charity. Let’s do our part to make sure everyone, the environment, plus all of these kangaroos & koala bears are safe.”

The new merchandise consists of black T-shirt and a black top with long white sleeves, with both pieces bearing the band’s name and a design featuring a koala, a kangaroo, the Australian flag, and a firefighter.

All proceeds from the sale of the special tops will be donated to Australia Zoo.

Fans rushed to purchase the special apparel, and 24 hours later, singer and bassist Mark Hoppus revealed their efforts were quickly paying off.

“Thanks to your support and generosity we’ve already raised more than $20,000 to help the animals devastated by the fires in Australia,” he shared. “Let’s keep it going!”

Blink-182 aren’t the only stars to do their bit for relief and recovery efforts – Elton John, Pink, Nicole Kidman, Chris Hemsworth, and Leonardo DiCaprio are among the celebrities who have made big donations to the cause.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is auctioning off the suit she wore to the 2020 Golden Globe Awards to raise funds for bushfire relief efforts in Australia.

The British star, who won Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy and Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for her TV show Fleabag on Sunday night, sported a black ensemble with silk lapels as well as geometric black and gold ribbon appliques custom-made for her by the team at Ralph & Russo to the bash.

But while speaking to reporters after the prizegiving, Phoebe announced that she will be selling off the suit shortly, with any funds raised to go to the charities helping tackle the blazes across Australia.

“We’ve hatched an amazing plan with Ralph & Russo who are Australian designers who’ve created this incredible couture suit which is the most incredible thing I’ve ever worn,” she said. “We’re going to auction it and the money that is raised from it will go towards relief in Australia. It’s a beautiful idea from the team so I’m really excited to be part of that.”

The 34-year-old did not announce when or where the auction will take place.

Originally from Australia, Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo co-founded their couture label in London in 2006. They have since built up a reputation for outfitting celebrities like Beyonce, Blake Lively, and Angelina Jolie.

Phoebe is one of many stars donating to the relief efforts, with Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Pink, and Kylie Minogue each pledging $500,000 (£380,000), while Chris Hemsworth announced on Monday that he has donated $1 million (£760,000).

Nicole Kidman realised how necessary skin creams are as she got older.

The Australian beauty is known for her flawless porcelain skin and age-defying looks, but in a new interview with Allure magazine, the 52-year-old shared that she didn’t fully appreciate how vital moisturisers were until she was older, although she has always been aware of the importance of sunscreen.

“I used to be like, ‘All those creams, who cares?’ But definitely as I’ve gotten older, I’ve realised those creams are necessary,” she said. “I’m shooting outdoors a lot, so the most important thing is the sunscreen – I use Neutrogena SPF 100+. I reapply every 90 minutes, every single day.”

Nicole, who is a spokesperson for Neutrogena, has also come to learn about the importance of drinking water to keep her body hydrated and to flush out toxins, all thanks to her country singer husband Keith Urban.

“What my husband taught me is water, water, water. We drink so much water. I didn’t realise how important it was to hydrate and flush out,” the 52-year-old continued. “But because he’s a singer, that’s part of his routine. They know that they have to drink and that it helps the chords, but it also helps the skin; it helps all the organs. It keeps you healthy.”

The Big Little Lies actress recently finished filming limited series The Undoing and is currently in the process of “shedding” the intense character she plays by spending time looking after herself.

“Now, I can do some yoga if I want to. I can go to the beach. I take hot baths with lots of oil. I love oil, and I love bathing in it,” she added.

Nicole Kidman’s two daughters have landed voice-acting roles in The Angry Birds Movie 2.

The Oscar-winning actress shares Sunday Rose, 11, and Faith Margaret, eight, with her husband Keith Urban, and in the lead-up to the release of the new animated film in early August, bosses at Sony Pictures have announced that the pair voice baby birds Beatrice and Lily, known as hatchlings.

“The hatchlings are the baby birds that have stolen everyone’s hearts and have no intention of giving them back and can be seen in action in a sneak peek clip from the film,” a studio representative stated.

In addition, The Florida Project’s Brooklynn Prince, Viola Davis’s seven-year-old daughter Genesis Tennon, and Gal Gadot’s daughter Alma Varsano, also seven, voice three hatchlings.

The girls take on the parts of Zoe, Vivi and Sam Sam, respectively, with their characters embarking on their own epic story in the upcoming flick.

“Their role-playing-game-gone-wrong launches them on an adorable adventure that will charm and delight the world. No hatchling is too small to dream big!” they added.

Sunday and Faith recently made their TV debuts with appearances in two episodes of the second season of Big Little Lies, playing classmates of Nicole’s onscreen sons.

“There’s something wonderful about bringing your children to work and them seeing what you do and them being a part of it,” the 52-year-old said in an interview with Good Morning America in June.

The Moulin Rouge! star also has two adopted children, Isabella, 26, and Connor, 24, who she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

Directed by Thurop Van Orman, The Angry Birds Movie 2 also features the voices of Josh Gad, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage, Leslie Jones, Awkwafina, Danny McBride, Rachel Bloom, Sterling K. Brown, JoJo Siwa, and Dove Cameron.

Nicole Kidman swears she has a Cinderella moment each time she attends a Hollywood event.

The Big Little Lies actress is always one to watch on the red carpet as she opts for glamorous designer gowns and beautiful accessories.

But while Nicole has been attending premieres and awards shows since the launch of her career in the late ’80s, she has now insisted that the novelty never fades.

“No dress has ever changed my life. Marrying my husband, Keith (Urban), having children-those things changed my life,” she wrote in an essay for U.S. Harper’s Bazaar. “Nevertheless, the fairy tale aspect of wearing couture is a glorious sidebar to my career. Golly, it is still lovely to me. I always say, ‘I’m going to the ball,’ when I’m walking a red carpet because it really does have that Cinderella quality.”

Nicole went to pinpoint the blue Armani Prive strapless gown with bow attached to the front which she donned for the 90th Academy Awards ceremony in March 2018 as one of her favourite dresses.

Even though the outfit fitted the star perfectly following two fittings, she was still surprised that it was easy to walk and sit in.

“Going to the Oscars as a presenter was just plain fun. I wore an Armani Prive dress, and I have to say they really take care of the details, like how to make a giant bow sit. Because remember, you have to be able to sit in the dress for four hours! Strangely enough, despite the boning on the corset top, this dress was unbelievably comfortable,” the 52-year-old shared.

In the essay, Nicole also added that she loves wearing vintage jewellery to events, especially “delicate” watches, and rarely attends after-parties, instead preferring to go home for a hot bath.

Kacey Musgraves paid homage to her album Golden Hour with her choice of outfit for the 2019 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards on Sunday night (07Apr19).

The singer-songwriter collected the prizes for Album of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year at the event held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, months after she picked up four Grammy Awards for the record.

Kacey made a splash on the red carpet when she stepped out in a pastel-hued ombre suit featuring dramatic pleated sleeves, with the ensemble originally included in the Christian Cowan x The Powerpuff Girls collection.

“I saw it and immediately was like, ‘This has my name written all over it.’ It even kind of reminds me of the album cover a little bit. A nod to the fan on the album cover, just all the pleats,” she told People, referring to Golden Hour’s cover, in which she is depicted holding a pink fan with a blue sky in the background. “I love a gradient, I love anything ombre… and anything rainbow, clearly.”

Kacey look was put together by stylist Erica Cloud, while she had her flowing brunette locks styled by Giovanni Delgado and her flawless make-up, including a wash of pale pink eyeshadow, completed by make-up artist Moani Lee.

Maren Morris also went with a pastel look, opting for a lilac dress with frill detailing from Christian Siriano, and captioned a snap of herself on Instagram, “LILAC for ACMS. thank you @csiriano for making this dress in this gorgeous colour for me!”

Meanwhile, Nicole Kidman turned heads in a black and silver ensemble from Christopher Kane for the bash, where she supported her husband Keith Urban, and Miranda Lambert dazzled in a neon green number from Alex Perry.

Kelly Clarkson was all smiles in a black lace dress from Alexander McQueen, and Lauren Alaina proved her style credentials in a monochromatic dress by Emil Couture.

Nicole Kidman blames poor sunscreen for the amount of time she spent indoors as a child.

The actress was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and moved to Australia with her parents at the age of four, but growing up in such a hot climate spelled potential danger for her pale skin. Having been an ambassador for Neutrogena since 2017, Nicole is now part of the brand’s ‘Every Day is a Sunday’ campaign which reinforces the notion of applying sunblock on a daily basis, and says memories of her own childhood prompted her to get involved.

“I’m passionate about it because for a lot of my childhood I couldn’t be as outdoorsy or sporty as I would have liked,” the 51-year-old explained in an interview with People magazine. “Raising two little girls, I want them to be active, yet I want to be a responsible mother and protect their skin so they thank me when they’re older.”

The Big Little Lies star shares daughters nine-year-old Sunday and seven-year-old Faith with her husband of 12 years Keith Urban, as well as 25-year-old daughter Isabella and 23-year-old son Connor from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise. And she believes that her infants are lucky to have access to a new form of sunscreen that she was deprived of in her younger years.

“For me growing up, sunscreens had not been revolutionised in the sense that you wore thick white zinc cream to protect yourself,” the Hollywood star recalled. “But now there’s sheer zinc that’s not sticky when you put it on. Now that there are products that let you do the things you want to do, anything is possible.”

However, once the sunscreen is on, Nicole previously shared that she favours a minimalistic approach to make-up.

“I like anything that is low maintenance and quick, yet can still give me results,” she smiled.

Nicole Kidman and Gwen Stefani were among the fashion frontrunners at the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards on Sunday night (15Apr18).

Big Little Lies star Nicole has become something of a regular at country music industry events, thanks to her husband Keith Urban, and always ensures she pulls out all the stops to impress on the red carpet. Sunday night was no different, as Nicole emphasised her statuesque frame in a long-sleeved gold gown by Michael Kors Collection. The light gold hue of the dress perfectly complemented the actress’ blonde hair, while the high-neck and bell sleeves gave the ensemble a ‘70s feel. And when she turned, Nicole showed she’s still got it as she flaunted her figure thanks to an entirely bare back.

Nicole had some competition in the attention-grabbing stakes, however, as the event drew the hottest singers of the moment. Gwen was there in support of her boyfriend Blake Shelton, and went for a flesh-baring look in an asymmetric red minidress teamed with fishnet tights and black thigh-high boots. With her blonde hair worn poker straight and lashings of jewellery, Gwen ensured she was super glamorous as she posed for photographers inside the Las Vegas ceremony.

Gwen wasn’t the only star to opt for red. Miranda Lambert, who made history at the event after becoming the most decorated artist in the awards’ history, looked stunning in her Georges Chakra gown, which featured a nude illusion bodice and thigh-high split to add some sex appeal. Meanwhile, Reba McEntire, who hosted the awards, harked back to her heyday as she re-wore a red Sandi Spika dress she had previously donned 25 years ago to perform Does He Love You – this time alongside real-life daughter-in-law Kelly Clarkson.

Country’s young stars also dressed to impress for the occasion. Kelsea Ballerini showcased her figure in a white lace Kristian Aadnevik lingerie-inspired dress, while recent newlywed Maren Morris went for mermaid chic in a green and blue iridescent strapless minidress.
