Kaley Cuoco wanted a very “effortless” make-up look for her wedding day.

The Big Bang Theory actress married equestrian Karl Cook in an intimate ceremony held at a horse stable near San Diego, California on Saturday (30Jun18), with Kaley walking down the aisle in a stunning white lace dress with matching cape from Reem Acra.

When it came to her cosmetics, make-up artist Jamie Greenberg has shared that she simply wanted to highlight her client’s features.

“The inspiration behind Kaley’s look was effortless and natural beauty,” she told People.com. “The Reem Acra dress speaks for itself. We wanted a natural true Kaley to shine through with this look.”

For Kaley’s make-up, Jamie first applied a layer of Cover FX’s Blurring Primer as a base and then added a layer of the brand’s Power Play Foundation.

She then dabbed on a little concealer under her eyes, shimmery eyeshadow to her lids and a dusting of yellow and rose gold coloured highlighter to the tops of her cheeks before setting the look with Cover FX’s Mattifying Setting Spray.

To finish, Jamie curled Kaley’s eyelashes and then applied a layer of black mascara before proceeding to fill in her brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Brow Liner in Taupe. The beauty expert, who also works with Elisabeth Moss and Krysten Ritter, proceeded to add a swipe of Burt’s Bees Matte Lip Crayon in Sedona Sands to her pout.

Meanwhile, hairstylist Christine Symonds was in charge of Kaley’s hairstyle and opted to give her a chic chignon.

Christine applied Kerastase’s Nectar Thermique and Mousse Bouffante to the locks before blow drying and then curled the hair with a 1-inch curling iron. She then pulled the hair into a low ponytail and twisted it into a loose knot which was topped off with a sparkly floral comb.

When Kaley changed into a white lace Tadashi Shoji jumpsuit for the reception, Christine was on hand once again, and switched the blonde star’s hair into a high ponytail.

Krysten Ritter wasn’t a fan of the “alienating” world of modelling.

The actress started out as a model when she was a teenager before finding fame as an actress. And while her unique features would have undoubtedly ensured her success as a model, Krysten didn’t enjoy the industry as a whole.

“It’s obviously about the way you look, but sometimes they don’t even look at you,” she told Harper’s Bazaar magazine. “You spend all day going to your go-sees, and they’re flipping through your book, asking where you’re from, and I’m like, ‘What does it matter?’ They didn’t care about my personality or my jokes or what I had to say at all.”

Instead, Krysten’s agent started sending her on commercial auditions. And it was there that the raven-haired beauty started to realise acting was a better fit for her.

“I was always really loud and funny and obnoxious, and I go there and they were like, ‘So, tell us about yourself! Tell us a funny joke!’ And I did, I had the room cracking up, and then I got the bug from that response,” the 36-year-old said.

Krysten has had her fair share of roles in movies and on the small screen over the years but is currently enjoying success starring as the title role in Netflix series Jessica Jones. The character is a tough former superhero, who doesn’t worry about what she looks like – and that in itself was refreshing for the screen star.

“There’s so much pressure on women to look beautiful, have everything put together, get your beauty sleep, it’s all about a physical appearance,” she explained. “And this is a character who is not about a physical appearance at all.”

Krysten Ritter turned heads in a futuristic outfit at the Jessica Jones premiere on Wednesday night (07Mar18).

The actress portrays the title character, a former superhero turned private investigator, on the Netflix show, with the second series set to debut on Thursday.

To celebrate the success of the programme, Krysten attended a special screening held at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square in New York and captured the attention of the crowd in a silver gown with thigh-high split by Cushnie Et Ochs. The 36-year-old accessorised her look with diamond drop earrings and a pair of silver pumps with ankle straps.

Rachael Taylor, who plays Trish Walker on the show, got dressed up for the event too. The Australian actress stepped out in a burgundy dress with silver beading that she matched with a slick of wine red-hued lipstick and a pair of blush-coloured satin high heels.

While former The Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss looked great in a black suit which was worn with an embroidered sheer top and black shoes. She ramped up the glamour with her beauty look as well, and sported an eye-catching swipe of dark pink eyeshadow on her lids.

Actress Leah Gibson also attended the premiere and donned a strapless black jumpsuit with sequinned bodice which she wore with Christian Louboutin stilettos, while her co-star Eka Darville opted to wear a three-piece blue suit along with a black overcoat that featured silver embellishment on the back and sleeves.

And over in Los Angeles, a parade of celebrities walked the red carpet at The Forgiven premiere. The film tells of how brutal murderer Piet Blomfield seeks redemption through meetings with Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and stars Eric Bana and Forest Whitaker in the lead roles.

Both actors turned up for the debut, as did Toni Braxton who sported a chic white jumpsuit, and Kat Graham, who looked gorgeous in an off-white silk gown.
