Kylie Jenner has insisted the running of Kylie Cosmetics will remain the same following her deal with Coty.

The reality TV star started her brand with a range of lip kits in 2015 and went on to launch Kylie Cosmetics the following year, with the company selling eyeshadows, concealers, lipsticks, and eyebrow pencils, as well as a line of skincare formulas.

In November, Kylie announced she had sold a 51 per cent stake, worth $600 million (£463 million), in her company to Coty, the American multinational beauty giant which also owns brands such as Clairol, Max Factor, OPI, Rimmel, and Wella.

Speaking about the deal in a cover interview with U.S. Harper’s Bazaar magazine, the 22-year-old explained that it will allow her to focus on creative and communications efforts for the brand as she, her mother Kris Jenner, and Coty executives look for opportunities to expand the business.

“I think it was just time,” Kylie said. “I mean, we have a great team. But it’s me and my mom kind of leading the pack, which will still be the case. Nothing’s going to change. But, hopefully, we can expand and get a big infrastructure behind Kylie Cosmetics and go worldwide and get more amazing people on the team to expand the business.”

Kris added that her daughter serves many different roles in the business, while she acts as the chief operating officer (COO).

“Kylie does all of the creative stuff – she’s the CEO, CMO, CCO,” the 64-year-old stated. “She’s been so amazing, the way she has grown this company. I’m like the COO. I help keep everything running behind the scenes. But she had this vision when she was 15, and it’s been remarkable to watch it come to life, to step back and see it evolve.”

Kendall Jenner is finally teaming up with her sister Kylie Jenner on a collection for Kylie Cosmetics.

Since she entered the cosmetics business in 2015, Kylie has collaborated on collections with her half-sisters Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian, mother Kris Jenner, and more recently, her daughter Stormi, who is about to turn two years old, and now she’s working with her sister Kendall on a line.

Ellen DeGeneres revealed the news while interviewing Kendall on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, and the model explained her contract with Estee Lauder was the reason why she wasn’t able to collaborate with Kylie Cosmetics before.

“And you’re doing a make-up collab with Kylie as well, which is very cool,” the talk show host said, to which Kendall replied, “Yes, we’re very excited about it. We’ve actually not said anything, that we’re doing it, yet.

“I’m the last sister – or the last family member – I think. I had a contract before with another make-up company, so now I’m able to do it.”

The 24-year-old, who was wearing winged eyeliner, shimmery bronzer, and a mauve lip gloss on the show, also teased that she was wearing products from their collaboration. She added that they were both taking the line “seriously” and planning to go all out.

“I feel like we’re really going big because I’m her full blood,” Kendall said.

Kylie, 22, explained to fans during an Instagram Live last year that her sibling’s Estee Lauder contract was the reason behind a delay in their partnership.

“You know Kendall was in a contract for a really long time, so I couldn’t do a collab with her. That’s the only reason why I didn’t collab with her… But, you know, we worked it out,” she shared.

Kylie Jenner is teaming up with her 23-month-old daughter Stormi Webster to create Kylie Cosmetics’ Valentine’s Day 2020 collection.

On Thursday night, representatives for the cosmetics brand revealed their first collaboration for 2020 was with Stormi by sharing a picture of the youngster sat at a table looking at concept art for the upcoming collection as adults watch on.

In the picture, packaging for the line can be seen, showing a pink box decorated with colourful butterflies and the word “Stormi” written in capital letters in a glittery purple font.

“First collaboration of 2020 coming soon,” they wrote in the caption.

Kylie shared the same photo on her personal Instagram page and wrote “coming soon” followed by a blushing face, purple heart, and butterfly emojis.

Details for the products in the collection were not revealed, but paperwork showing designs for a lip kit and a nine-pan eyeshadow palette can be seen in the picture.

The butterfly packaging is a nod to Kylie and Stormi’s father Travis Scott’s mutual love of the creatures. They both have butterfly tattoos and Stormi’s nursery is decorated with butterfly motifs.

The range may be Stormi’s first foray into the family business, but her 22-year-old mother is no stranger to tapping family members for a collaboration. She’s teamed with half-sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian on singular make-up collections and with mother Kris Jenner for a Mother’s Day collection in 2018.

At the end of 2019, it was announced that Kylie had sold a $600 million (£458 million) stake in her cosmetics business to beauty giant Coty. After the news of the deal broke, Kris told CNBC: “(Kylie) talks about it all the time. Twenty years from now she sees herself doing this and maybe passing it down to her daughter (Stormi).”

Kylie Jenner has partnered with German retailer Douglas to launch Kylie Skin in Europe.

The beauty mogul founded Kylie Cosmetics in 2016 and expanded into skincare with the launch of Kylie Skin earlier this year, with both brands being available to buy in Ulta Beauty stores in America and through their respective websites.

On Wednesday, officials at German perfume and cosmetics retailer Douglas announced they were partnering with Kylie to exclusively sell her skincare line in Europe, the first time her products will be available to purchase in a store on the continent.

“I’m so excited to be bringing Kylie Skin to Douglas Group next year for my first ever retail launch in Europe,” the 22-year-old said in a statement. “So many of my fans have been asking me to make my skincare products available in Europe, and I’m so happy that they’ll now be able to test and experience the products in person and purchase in stores for the first time.”

Douglas stores will be offering six products from the Kylie Skin line – the Foaming Face Wash, Walnut Face Scrub, Face Moisturizer, Eye Cream, Vanilla Milk Toner, and Vitamin C Serum – in spring 2020. All of the products are vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, sulfate and paraben free.

“I am proud and excited to finally announce this extraordinary and exclusive partnership: we team up with one of the most admired and influential beauty companies!” added Tina Muller, Douglas Group CEO. “A milestone for Douglas and a giant step to offer our customers the most innovative and unique assortment. Kylie has proven numerous times that she meets the zeitgeist of her US customers precisely and we expect to spark that same enthusiasm for her products in Europe.”

The news comes a month after it was announced Kylie had sold a $600 million (£463 million) stake in Kylie Cosmetics to beauty giant Coty, which owns brands such as Clairol, Max Factor, OPI, Rimmel, and Wella.

Kendall Jenner has poked fun at her sister Kylie in an over-the-top make-up tutorial.

In a preview clip for the season finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the 24-year-old model can be seen wearing a pink ombre wig as she applies a nude Kylie Cosmetics lipstick and impersonates her little sister.

“I love over-lining my lips, this is how it all started,” Kendall tells the cameras, as she jokingly smears the product all around her mouth. “Literally, I just over-lined my lips and everyone was wondering what I was using.”

Using another Kylie Cosmetics lipstick, she then applies the bright red shade over her mouth.

“Mix the shades. We love mixing,” Kendall laughs, as she exaggerates the lipstick on her face. “It feels amazing on my skin. It feels so f**king good.”

The model then FaceTimed her sister to get her thoughts on her uncanny impersonation.

“Oh my god!” Kylie exclaimed. “You look cute as Kylie… That looks amazing.”

The Kylie Cosmetics founder previously admitted on her reality show Life of Kylie in 2017 that she got her lips done because she became insecure about them after a boy made a comment.

“I had really small lips, and it was, like, one of my first kisses, and a guy was like, ‘I didn’t think you’d be a good kisser because you have such small lips’… I took that really hard,” she confessed. “I didn’t feel desirable or pretty.

“I would overline my lips with the lip liner to create the illusion of bigger lips and then, finally, I was like, this lip liner isn’t doing it and ended up getting my lips done… It sticks with you – it just got in there.”

Kylie Jenner has given fans a rare glimpse of her natural hair.

The beauty mogul recently shared a clip of herself fresh out of the shower on her Instagram Stories, and told her followers that her jet-black hair is the longest it’s been in years.

Playing with strands of her shoulder-length locks in the clip, the 22-year-old wrote: “Haven’t had my real hair this long since I was 15.”

Kylie is usually seen with long hair extensions or a wig, as not to damage her real strands. And while her natural hue is black, she’s tried a variety of different colours, including platinum blonde, ice blue, and baby pink over the years.

The Kylie Cosmetics mogul last gave fans a look at her real hair in a Snapchat video back in 2017, with the footage showing her short tresses scraped up into a tiny bun.

“My hair is just so crazy,” she said at the time.

While Kylie is keen to keep her own hair under wraps, she’s embracing the natural locks of her daughter Stormi, and has been taking lessons to ensure she can braid the 21-month-old tot’s textured hair correctly.

“I love doing her hair. I’m not the best. But I love learning,” the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star explained in a video on her Instagram Stories earlier this year. “Some of my favourite memories are of my mom doing my hair.”

Kim Kardashian has set the record straight after fans noticed she was wearing what appeared to be her original engagement ring in a campaign image.

The reality star flaunted an array of stunning jewels in recent snaps promoting her new KKW fragrance, Diamonds Collection, with her eagle-eyed followers quick to notice she was wearing both engagement rings in the shoot, including the 20-carat emerald-cut rock she was given by her husband Kanye West in 2016, months before it was stolen when she was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel.

Addressing the sudden return of the jewel, Kim told Entertainment Tonight that jeweller Lorraine Schwartz had made her a replica.

“I borrowed all jewellery from Lorraine Schwartz. It was nice to borrow it all and nice to give it back to her,” she said. “She always knows the cut and everything that I really wanted. So, when I want to wear something, I’ll borrow it from her for the day… There is a replica around. A little fake that I’ll borrow from her sometimes that she made. A really nice one. It looks really nice.”

Kim also took the opportunity during the interview to congratulate her sister Kylie Jenner amid the news that bosses at Coty recently acquired 51 per cent of Kylie’s brands, Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin, for $600 million (£464 million).

Dismissing any speculation of a rivalry between herself and Kylie, the 39-year-old commented: “I’m so proud of her. To think in her early 20s, she built a business off of something that she first was insecure about and finding confidence and, you know, just tapping into that and figuring out how to make an amazing product and just being true to herself and doing what she loves to do, that’s so inspiring and so amazing and I’m so proud of her.”

In addition, Kim revealed that Kylie, 22, had wanted to sell her business “for a long time” and made the decision to sell just over half of it “about a year ago”.

Kylie Jenner has sold a $600 million (£463 million) stake in her beauty business to executives at Coty.

The reality TV star started her brand with a range of lip kits in 2015 and went on to launch Kylie Cosmetics the following year, with the company selling eyeshadows, concealers, lipsticks, and eyebrow pencils, as well as a line of skincare formulas.

Now, Kylie has sold a 51 per cent stake in her company to Coty, the American multinational beauty giant which also owns brands such as Clairol, Max Factor, OPI, Rimmel, and Wella.

“I’m excited to partner with Coty to continue to reach even more fans of Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin around the world,” the 22-year-old said in a statement on Monday. “I look forward to continuing the creativity and ingenuity for each collection that consumers have come to expect and engaging with my fans across social media. This partnership will allow me and my team to stay focused on the creation and development of each product while building the brand into an international beauty powerhouse.”

Coty bosses reported that Kylie Cosmetics realised an estimated $177 million (£137 million) of net revenues for the trailing twelve months.

Kylie and her team will continue to lead all creative efforts in terms of product and communications initiatives, especially with regards to social media.

“We are pleased to welcome Kylie into our organisation and family,” added Pierre Laubies, Coty chief executive officer. “Combining Kylie’s creative vision and unparalleled consumer interest with Coty’s expertise and leadership in prestige beauty products is an exciting next step in our transformation and will leverage our core strengths around fragrances, cosmetics and skincare, allowing Kylie’s brands to reach their full potential.”

In March, editors at Forbes estimated Kylie Cosmetics to be valued at $900 million (£694 million) and Kylie’s net worth to be $1 billion (£771 million) – making her the world’s youngest billionaire.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West don’t want North wearing make-up at young age

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have agreed to ban their daughter North West from wearing make-up until she’s older.

The KKW Beauty mogul has come under fire for letting her six-year-old daughter wear a slick of lipstick or eyeshadow sometimes in the past, but the rapper recently took a stand and banned North from wearing any cosmetics until she’s older.

According to Kim, Kanye’s decision hasn’t gone down well, but they’ve ultimately come to realise it’s the right call.

“North is trying to get in on the make-up but she’s being blocked heavily because her dad has stopped all make-up for her until she is a teenager,” she told E! News. “It’s a big discussion, a big fight in the household right now but it is what’s best.

“I think as a parent you just learn and figure it out as you go, and we realised we didn’t really want her to wear make-up at a young age. But she sees her mom putting on lipstick and lip gloss.”

In September, the 39-year-old told the publication that she “got in trouble” with Kanye for letting North have the lip kits from her half-sister Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics range.

“I think he had it, he changed all the rules. I’d let her wear, you know, she has a little red for Christmas, I’d let her wear a red lip, or I’d let her do one pop of something,” the TV personality explained. “I’d let her if she’s wearing a black dress, a black lip. Kylie would give her all of these lip kits, so I kind of got in trouble for that. So, it’s now no more make-up.”

Elsewhere, the star also shared that she and Kanye have “multiple costumes” lined up for Halloween.

Kylie Jenner has filed trademark applications in a bid to turn her popular Rise and Shine meme into a clothing line.

Earlier this month, the 22-year-old took fans on a tour of her Kylie Cosmetics office in a video for her YouTube channel, and during the clip, visited her 20-month-old daughter Stormi Webster’s nursery, where she sang the words “rise and shine” to wake the toddler up. The clip went viral and caused a sensation on social media, with users creating memes and videos poking fun at Kylie.

The beauty mogul quickly cashed in on the frenzy by releasing two $65 (£51) sweatshirts inspired by the song on her e-commerce website, both of which immediately sold out.

And it now appears that Kylie has bigger plans. On the same day that she released the merchandise, the reality TV star filed to trademark both “Rise and Shine” as well as “Riiise and Shiiinnee”.

According to the applications on the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the trademarks would be used for: “Belts; Bottoms as clothing; Coats; Dresses; Footwear; Gloves; Headbands; Headwear; Jackets; Loungewear; Scarves; Sleepwear; Socks; Swimwear; Tops as clothing; Undergarments.”

The standard “Rise and Shine” trademark is also intended for use with cosmetics.

Yet, her trademark bid has been criticised by social media users, who have ridiculed her for taking the meme too far.

“I think it’s so funny that kylie jenner is trying to trademark ‘rise and shine’. Sis it was just a funny meme for the week nothing more nothing less lmao (laughing my a*s off),” one wrote, while another added, “Those ‘Rise and Shine’ videos of Kylie Jenner were funny until she started doing too much by making sweatshirts and now trying to trademark it… Like why can’t she just let it be funny and leave it alone?”

However, Kylie may have some competition on her hands as many similar trademark applications already exist on the database.
