Hailee Steinfeld works out almost daily to help keep her mental health “in check”.

The Pitch Perfect 2 actress has discussed her wellbeing and beauty routine with her mother Cheri in a new interview for Allure magazine, with the pair currently practicing social distancing and remaining at home in Los Angeles amid the coronavirus lockdown.

In the chat, Hailee also revealed that she is relying on her dad, personal trainer Pete, to help keep her motivated with workouts during the lockdown period.

“Working out five, six days a week. I find that it’s truly the only thing that keeps my mental health in check,” she shared. “And luckily, I have my dad, who is the best personal trainer in the game.”

Hailee went on to note she abides by a strict beauty regime to keep her skin in tip-top condition and prefers using natural skincare products.

“Of course, I never go to sleep with make-up on my face; I make sure my skin routine is intact. That’s something that I care a lot about. I love using products that are natural, that have natural ingredients, that don’t have a lot of ingredients,” the 23-year-old added.

And though her favourite moisturiser is by luxury skincare brand La Mer, Hailee confessed that she’s fickle when it comes to changing up her beauty and cosmetic products.

“I don’t know that there’s a specific beauty product that I fell in love with at some point. I constantly discover new things when I have my make-up done all the time, and there’s always a new product,” she smiled. “There’s always something new that people are onto. I will say though, Patrick Ta’s lip colours and lip liners are amazing, and he also just put out this brow situation that is so good.”

Ashley Tisdale has noticed a change in her complexion since she gave up eating dairy products.

The actress/singer took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a close-up clip focused on her flawless face, and in the accompanying caption, told her followers that while she uses luxury brands such as La Mer, her glowing skin is down to one inexpensive lifestyle change.

“Skin never looked so good,” the 34-year-old wrote. “I would love to say it’s just the products I use but I’ve been dairy-free for five years and I swear it changed everything with my skin.

“I barely break out. I know it’s hard to give up something but when you do after a while you barely crave it and I feel healthier.”

While acne flare-ups can be associated with dairy products such as milk and cheese, they can also be attributed to a diet that contains sugar, alcohol, and processed carbohydrates.

Previously, Ashley opened up on her decision to cut down on her consumption of animal products after discovering that she was reacting badly to them.

“What you eat and finding out what you are sensitive to food-wise is important, too, because your skin is a reflection of what you are ingesting. So, if something breaks you out, doing a journal of what you ate that day and seeing how your skin reacts is helpful,” the High School Musical star told Haute Living magazine last year.

Sienna Miller used to have a habit of stealing her mother’s luxury face cream.

The American Woman actress has a dedicated skincare regime, with some of her favourite products including Dr. Nigma Talib’s Hydrating and Plumping Serum, Natura Bisse’s Glyco Extreme Peel, and Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream.

However, in an interview with InStyle.com, Sienna shared that she has always been a fan of La Mer’s Creme de la Mer, and recalled how she once slapped it on her face when her mum Josephine wasn’t looking.

“When I was younger, I used to steal my mother’s when she wasn’t looking,” she told the publication at an event marking the launch of a limited-edition jar of the formula. “I didn’t use that little spoon. I would go and stick my finger in it, so she totally knew when I went at it. There’s something so luxurious about it as a product and it really, really works in a way that very few things do. It always just seemed so luxurious and just aspirational and now I really need it as I get older.”

A 30ml jar of Creme de la Mer costs around $160 (£125). But Sienna is adamant it is worth it, because a little goes a long way.

“You don’t have to use that much,” the 37-year-old insisted. “So, that pot can last quite a long time.”

Previously, Sienna opened up about her skincare routine in a chat with U.S. Vogue back in 2016 and explained that she never wants to resort to cosmetic surgery.

“I just think beautiful skin is the best thing,” she commented. “I’m trying to be better at having facials and maintenance. I don’t want to have surgery, so I just think you have to try and take care of what you’ve got.”

Chris Hemsworth once annoyed his wife Elsa Pataky by using her $400 (£320) La Mer face cream on his sunburn.

The Avengers: Endgame star has opened up about how he is a huge fan of skincare products in an interview with U.S. GQ magazine after stealing his actress wife’s moisturisers on a regular basis.

However, one incident with the luxe beauty staple left Chris in the bad books.

“She uses a lot of La Mer products, which, you know, cost a small fortune, so she’s less than happy when I use that face moisturiser over my whole body,” the 35-year-old told the publication. “I found out the hard way when I used her $400 cream for a sunburn one time. That wasn’t the best option.

“My shoulders were sunburnt one time and I lathered up my shoulders with some La Mer products not realising how expensive they were. She wasn’t really that impressed.”

As well as being an excellent remedy for sunburn, Chris quickly became a fan of La Mer, and now tries to include it in his own skincare regime.

“It smells so delicious, I wanted to eat it,” the Australian hunk joked.

The Men in Black: International star also relies on coconut oil as a much cheaper moisturiser for his sun-ravaged skin.

“Especially when it’s really dry and I’m surfing a lot, spending a lot of time in the sun,” he shared. “It’s better for sunburn or dehydrated skin – and much cheaper – than La Mer.”

The skincare company was started after founder and German-born scientist Dr. Max Huber suffered burns in a lab accident, and he created a remedy – called Creme de La Mer – using fermented sea kelp, minerals and natural ingredients that became the base of the iconic skincare line.

Alexa Chung always takes time to comb her eyebrows as she finds the process “really therapeutic”.

The British designer and presenter is known for her ability to pull off just about any fashion or beauty trend and always turns heads when she steps out onto the red carpet.

Alexa has now shared some of her top secrets for looking good in a video tutorial for Vogue.com and divulged that she insists on doing her own brows.

“(I) just brush those guys up. I spent years growing these back after some ’90s overplucking,” she said, before going on to demonstrate how she will brush her arches up with a toothbrush if she doesn’t have a spoolie brush. “I also, when I have my make-up done, if I’m lucky enough to, they have to hand me the brush, ’cause this is one of my favourite things to do. I find it really therapeutic. It’s very relaxing.”

Alexa went on to explain that she is a big fan of The Cream by Augustinus Bader, Lucas’ Papaw Ointment, La Mer’s The Concealer and RMS’ Un Cover-Up Foundation.

She also uses a black eyeliner pen to achieve her signature cat-eye look.

“My guide for it is to follow the bottom of your eye up, so it’s kind of like an extension of that and that’s your marker. Other people do things like measuring degrees or things that seem quite mathematical, but I just think you are going for something that’s like up and out,” the 35-year-old commented of her technique.

Elsewhere, Alexa used Glossier’s Lash Slick Mascara on her lashes and Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk on her pout. She outlined how she uses Dior Backstage’s Glow Face Palette on her eyes too.

“I am a magpie for pretty, coloured things,” she smiled. “I believe (this) is meant to be for like highlighting your face, cheeks, et cetera… I don’t understand how to do that contour, or highlight, or whatever. So, I just thought it was really nice and I’m going to use it as an eyeshadow.”

Jesse Metcalfe has a habit of stealing his fiancee Cara Santana’s luxury eye cream.

The celebrity couple, who became engaged in August 2016 and are currently planning their wedding, have appeared in the latest episode of Harper’s Bazaar’s Go To Bed With Me video series.

In the clip, Jesse and Cara each breakdown their evening skincare regimes for fans, with the Desperate Housewives star sharing that he loves to use La Mer’s The Eye Concentrate cream from his partner’s beauty stash.

“I enjoy stealing this eye cream. Obviously, it’s La Mer, everyone knows the name La Mer, and as I’m getting older, I really need to combat these wrinkles and bags under my eyes,” he said of the product, which is priced at $215 (£160) for a 15ml container.

Elsewhere in the clip, Cara explained that she removes her make-up with Neutrogena wipes, and washes her face with Dr. Barbara Sturm’s cleanser. Jesse also uses the wipes, but for an entirely different reason.

“You know I steal those right?” the 40-year-old laughed. “I clean my sneakers with those. Those are sneaker wipes. Gotta keep my sneaks fresh!”

Cara, 34, is a fan of using Nurse Jamie’s Beauty Roller on her face too, as she finds it helps increase blood flow and tighten the skin, and she’s not afraid to use it on Jesse’s complexion as well.

Her other go-to formulas include AMOREPACIFIC’s Time Response Skin Renewal Serum, AMOREPACIFIC’s Hydration Mist, and Dior’s Capture Youth Advanced Creme, while she swears by using hair oils on the ends of her long brunette tresses.

“I always like to put some dry oil on my ends. I’m obsessing over both Glamsquad and OUAI’s hair oil,” she smiled.

Xiao Wen Ju swears using a crystal face tool as part of her skincare regime is the key to good skin.

The model is fast becoming one of the hottest names in the fashion world, having become the first model of Chinese descent to be the face of Marc Jacobs, while she has also walked in runway shows for the likes of Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Victoria’s Secret.

Now, speaking about her nighttime beauty regime in a video for Vogue.com, Xiao has opened up about her favourite products and techniques and shared that she is a fan of using a Gua Sha tool, which are often made from crystal or jade.

“This is called Gua Sha Ban, I use it on my face, if I wanted to relax my face a little bit. I don’t have any directions, I just follow the line on my face,” she said, taking the tool and pulling it over her cheekbones and jawline. “See the blood, it helps my blood like, you know, like running, circulation.”

Xiao then proceeds to remove her favourite La Mer cleanser from her face, advising to always use warm rather than hot water. The model also uses a Joanna Vargas eye mask to remove puffiness and to combat sensitive skin around her peepers, but is certain taking her vitamins is what makes the most difference to her complexion.

“I have a secret. My skin and hair (are) quite weak. So, I take the vitamins every day. It helps my skin, the bones, the hair, the nails,” the 29-year-old smiled.

In addition, Xiao has pigmentation on her face, and uses a special lotion each night to help even out different skin tones.

Even though the product “smells like vinegar” she is adamant that it makes a difference.

“I have different colours of skin on my face. Here (on my forehead) is a little bit darker than here on (my cheeks). And also, here on (my chin) is another colour. So, I use this lotion to balance my skin colour,” she insisted, before finishing her regime with a serum, face cream, and lip balm.
