Lara Stone has confirmed reports she is set to wed for the second time.

The model is engaged to 37-year-old property developer David Grievson, who she began dating in 2018 after meeting him on dating app Tinder.

According to Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper, Stone sparked engagement rumours when she was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger while recently attending the Gymkhana VIP dinner in London’s upmarket Mayfair district, and her representative has now confirmed the news.

“They are engaged,” her spokesman told the publication, while an unknown friend added, “She is very happy with David. And she loves that he’s not in the public eye like her ex was… She didn’t enjoy that aspect of their relationship.”

The engagement comes almost five years since the 36-year-old split from British comedian and author David Walliams, the father of her six-year-old son Alfie. The Dutch beauty met the Little Britain star in 2009 and they got engaged four months later. They tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony at Claridge’s hotel in London in 2010.

However, the comedian filed for divorce in September 2015, citing unreasonable behaviour, and the marriage was dissolved at a hearing in London just six weeks later.

Reflecting on their split during an interview with British newspaper The Telegraph in April last year, Lara said that while their divorce was “awful”, the former couple are now successfully co-parenting their son.

“Sometimes really different people work together – but maybe not for ever. It’s awful getting divorced,” she explained, adding that Alfie hasn’t been affected by their split.

“It’s now five years and luckily our son was really young. He didn’t really notice anything. It’s only now that he knows that we used to be married,” she shared.

Dakota Johnson appears to have undergone dental work to have her signature tooth gap closed.

The Fifty Shades of Grey actress is known for having a small space between her upper two front teeth, and in a video for Vanity Fair in 2017, even demonstrated how she could put various objects into the gap, including toothpicks, a credit card, a cherry stem, a twig and cash.

However, following Dakota’s appearance at The Peanut Butter Falcon premiere in Hollywood last Thursday night, eagle-eyed fans noticed that it looked like she had the gap closed entirely.

A close-up photo of the star smiling at the premiere appears to confirm the speculation, though the 29-year-old has yet to comment on whether or not she had a recent trip to the dentist.

In light of the transformation, a number of Dakota’s fans have taken to Twitter to express their thoughts on her new look.

One user wrote, “Logged on to find out that Dakota Johnson, the only person who should have a gap in their teeth, got rid of hers…,” while another asked, “Is grieving over Dakota Johnson fixing her tooth gap a valid reason to not work?”

Yet, a third commenter showed support for Dakota, and praised: “I just found out Dakota Johnson fixed her tooth gap and I’m kinda sad because that was like her brand but if it makes her feel better I’m all for it u go queen (sic).”

Elsewhere, followers posted video montages in honour of Dakota’s famed tooth gap.

Other celebrities known for having gap teeth include Anna Paquin, Elijah Wood, Lara Stone, Madonna, and even Dakota’s rumoured boyfriend, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

The Peanut Butter Falcon, also starring Shia LaBeouf and Bruce Dern, is slated to open in U.S. cinemas on Friday.

Alexander McQueen blends ‘strength and fragility’ for spring 19

Alexander McQueen has evoked strength and softness in equal measure for its spring 2019 collection.

Designer Sarah Burton’s latest work was showcased at the Jardin du Luxembourg’s Orangerie Du Senat during Paris Fashion Week on Monday night (01Oct18), in which she unveiled a collection of pieces inspired by women’s life milestones such as births, christenings, weddings and funerals.

“It’s about being strong and emotional, but also staying it’s okay to show your vulnerability; not to have to put a brave face on it,” the fashion star explained to reporters at U.S. Vogue.

Against a backdrop representing the standing stones of Avebury in England, the largest megalithic stone circle in the world, Burton presented empowering pieces influenced by pagan, Christian and natural history, beginning with ruffled white asymmetric dresses toughened up by belted leather overlays and studded pointy ankle boots.

These looks were followed by a slick midriff-baring leather jacket and trouser combination, as well as grey plaid suits with chain detailing along the lapels and sparing but bold floral prints, arranged in ways that could resemble tattoos.

The models, including Lara Stone and Gemma Ward, wore their hair in smooth braided styles and were adorned with plenty of statement jewellery, helping every woman on the catwalk to exude strength and confidence.

Speaking to The Guardian, Burton shared that though the collection resembled a woman’s journey, she “didn’t want it to be a woman who was powerful for the sake of being powerful” and was attracted to the idea that “you can be powerful by expressing emotion.”

“I want to empower women but as long as they feel like themselves,” she added. “I think it’s really important, especially now.”

Paris Fashion Week concludes on Tuesday with shows from Chanel, Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton.

Chanel’s enchanted forest catwalk show has been criticised by angry French environmentalists.

The luxury label held its fall/winter 2018 runway show on Tuesday (06Mar18) morning at the Grand Palais in Paris, with the venue decorated with a number of oak and poplar trees that were reportedly cut down and transported especially for the spectacle.

However, campaigners have now claimed that the outdoor setting chosen by creative director Karl Lagerfeld was “completely divorced from the reality of protecting nature”.

“Chanel has missed the point once again,” officials at The France Nature Environment (FNE) organisation said in a statement. “The celebrated fashion house chose to present a ‘natural’ decor with real trees for its haute couture event. The result: trees, some of them a hundred years old, were chopped down for a few hours of the show.”

Campaigners went on to suggest it would have been “better, indeed innovatory” if the renowned brand had instead chosen to debut their collection in a real forest, rather than in an imitation at the expense of the country’s nature.

However, Chanel executives have hit back at the accusations claiming that all the trees, which were brought to Paris from a forest in western France, were authorised to be cut down, and were all over a century old. They have pledged to replant “an area of 100 new oaks in the heart of the forest.”

The runway show drew in a number of high-profile guests, such as U.S. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, Vanessa Paradis, Lara Stone, Keira Knightley, Carla Bruni and Lily Allen. All sat perched on wooden benches set against a backdrop of trees and scattered leaves, some of which were painted with Chanel’s logo.

Natalia Vodianova led the glamour at 2018 Fabulous Fund Fair on Tuesday night (20Feb18).

The Russian model held her fifth major fundraiser to benefit her Naked Heart Foundation, which creates free support services for families of children with physical, mental and sensory disabilities, at The Roundhouse venue on the last day of London Fashion Week.

Natalia, 35, stepped out on the red carpet in an eye-catching red patent leather dress by Simone Rocha worn with strappy heels, and explained prior to the charity bash that she had chosen an intergalactic theme for the night.

“For this time around, the theme of our fundraiser is inspired by space and other sci-fi references,” she told Forbes. “(We have) a night filled with cosmic games such as Dior’s Black Hole, Messina’s Star Race, Versace’s Solar Race, L’Oreal’s Stellar Kiss, Fendi’s Spaceball and many, many more.”

In addition to big name fashion and cosmetics brands getting in on the action, other famous faces did too. Natalia “sold” kisses at the event, while model Karlie Kloss handed out baked goods from her cookie company Karlie Kloss’s Kookies and Doutzen Kroes, who sported a dramatic red metallic trench coat and matching trousers, showed off her paper plane making skills.

While actress Liv Tyler manned a coconut shy game, with guests also invited to try their luck at everything from hook-a-duck, hoopla and skittles.

And Australian model Madeline Stuart, the world’s first professional model with Down’s syndrome, posed up a storm on the red carpet.

“The best event ever @nakedheartfoundation Congratulations @natasupernova on such an amazing night. Thank you for inviting me. #breakingthemouldtour #love#supermodel #inclusion,” she captioned a photo of her at the bash posted on her Instagram page.
